-A New Encounter-
"Huh?" Izuku responded dumbfounded
All Might then realized that he forgot a major part about what he had to say. 'Good job Toshinori, you had one job and you messed it up!' He beat himself up in his head. He had no way to recover from his act of jumping the gun, so he panicked and told the potential symbol a peace only one thing.
"Ehhh, just meet me at Dagobah Beach at 7:30 got it Young Midoriya?" Small Might said to his potential apprentice, he had no idea if this boy would be it, but there was a very, VERY, high chance that he was the one.
"Yes sir! But, why so early, if I can ask." Izuku questioned, not understanding why they had to meet so early in the morning.
"Well…..we're gonna have a talk about my quirk, it is very complicated, and some other things Young Midoriya, but for now just go home and get some rest because tomorrow you're gonna wish you could stay in that bed for the rest of your life!" All Might chuckled, trying to sound encouraging? All it did was scare Izuku. 'Oh this kid has no idea about what he's going to be put though.'
But the young boy did as All Might asked. Obviously to the face that he was going to start a living hell soon.
He arrived home and took off his shoes, leaving them in the doorway, calling out to his mother as he did so. "Mom! I'm back!" He heard the sound of rapid footsteps, she arrived in the hallway and Izuku saw she had tears in her eyes, 'Did something happen- THE NEWS!' Izuku stumbled as his mother crashed into him. "M-Mom, are you ok?"
He got gibberish as a response, he hugged his mother as she sobbed. He didn't like worrying her. Her heart couldn't handle stuff like that, and his heart couldn't seeing her worry about him.
His mom let go and he could see how red her eyes were, his heart clenched for a second, "I-uh, I'm guessing you saw the news..?" He asked slowly and she nodded in response. Izuku bit his lip. 'Of course, ALL MIGHT was there! Why WOULDN'T it be all over the news…'
"Izuku.." His mother finally spoke. He saw the worry in her eyes, it hurt a lot, to know that he was the reason for it. After all he was all she had, since Hisashi was now out of the picture. "P-Please, don't do something that reckless again…" She sniffled.
Izuku gulped, even though he probably emptied his tears ducts with the amount of crying he did today, he felt his eyes burning. "I-I won't mom"
"F-For what it's worth, I'm proud of you Izuku." She said with a smile.
She genuinely was, she was watching the news when they started reporting about a villain made of sludge. She saw that Katsuki was a hostage and she instantly began worrying and then Izuku ran out to save his friend. She was proud but worried, what if it didn't work, what if something happened?
'Nothing happened' She had to tell herself over and over. They were safe, and alive, she wasn't even sure if Katsuki would be alive if Izuku hadn't ran out to help. 'I'm so proud of you.'
Izuku felt his eyes glossing over, "Thanks mom." They hugged again, and eventually got to eating dinner. It was quiet, but they both enjoyed it. After all they were together, they were family.
"Izuku! I'm going to be out tomorrow, I'm going to help Mitsuki with some work pretty early in the morning!" Inko said as she rinsed the bowls she and her son used.
"Got it mom!" Izuku called from the bathroom, having taken a shower, getting rid of all the slime and ash that was covering his body due to today's events. And currently he was brushing his hair with a comb- and it's gone, 'Eh, I'll find it later' Izuku brushed his teeth and bid his mother goodnight before heading to his bedroom.
His bedroom was nice and warm, his All Might covers giving him a sense of protection as he let the warmth envelop him and drift him off to sleep.
Izuku heard a high pitched sound and his eyes shot open, once again he was in the void. The same one that he was in when he thought he died. Except now half was pitch black and the other a bright white, divided clearly by a line, each side going on for miles. On the line two glowing balls of light were shown.
One changing from black to red to yellow back to black, and the other going from white to blue to brown and then pink, also repeating the process.
Izuku stumbled towards them, he wasn't in his pajamas, instead he was in his school uniform with his jacket undone, a green shirt being underneath. His clothes were flowing away from the lights, as if they were a tremendous force that pushed everything away.
But he wouldn't let that stop him! He had to reach out for it! Even if he didn't know what it was.
His hand lifted and he reached forward for both of the lights, using all of his strength to not be blown away.
The orbs of lights were beautiful, they spoke to Izuku. He got closer and closer until he started hearing whispering, but then it got louder and louder until he could clearly hear two voices.
Water….the element of calmness, the soothing of the ocean, along with the ability to cause floods and great devastation if not used carefully…..
Earth….the element of strength, the power to become an immovable bulldozer that can overcome any and all enemies with earthquakes and pillars of concrete and rock…..
Wind….the element of tranquility, giving increased agility and flexibility, if used commonly mere breezes are made, used to its full extent and you can make gusts that can cut as sharply as scythes….
Those three statements were said by a male voice, the voice was kind, and it gave a sense of security to Izuku.
Lightning….the element of speed, being able to change a person's life in mere seconds with the speed at which it can strike and kill an individual….
Fire...the element of emotion, fire is beautiful and dangerous, it does not care for you, if you admire its beauty or hate it's strength either way it will come for you and it will kill you…
These two were said by a woman's voice instead, she sounded hyped up, and excited.
Both voices decided to speak in unison. This is your power, Izuku Midoriya, and while now you cannot even imagine it becoming this powerful, it will soon become much stronger and you will have the power to overcome anything that stands in front of you Now, wake up! The lights shot at Izuku enveloping him.
"AH!" Izuku shot out of bed, gasping for air, sweating profusely.
He took a couple seconds to calm his breathing.
Once he was done he looked over his body, it seemed normal, no trace of the lights that just consumed him. He looked outside and saw that the sun hadn't come up yet. "W-What the hell was that…" Izuku said to himself as he got out of bed. "What was that dream.."
He glanced at his clock and saw that it was 5:30, 'I have time, but I should start getting ready' He told himself, after all he didn't want to mess this chance up!
Who would give up a chance to be taught by the number one hero?! Also something about being worthy to receive All Might's quirk, he had no idea what that was about, but All Might said he was going to explain.
"That gives me about two hours to get to the beach." Izuku said to himself as he got out of bed, changed his clothes, deciding to sport a white hoodie along with a green shirt and black sweats.
He went into the kitchen and got something to eat real quickly. He went over towards the bathroom and brushed his teeth, he was going to brush his hair but he didn't find any combs, "Huh, that's weird." He said to no one.
He went back to the kitchen, leaving a note for his mom that he was leaving. 'Out on a run, good luck with work!' the note said.
'I had an hour and a half left, why did I leave so fat?' Izuku thought to himself as he was walking to Dagobah. 'Am I really that nervous….' He said before he let out a sigh taking in the breeze as he walked past stores that he had seen a million times. It was refreshing.
As he picked up the pace of his walk, since he was kind of impatient, now jogging Izuku stopped in front of an alley, since he heard noise coming from it. He turned into it as he heard some people talking. He made out three voices, one, a female, sounded very distressed, and the two others were male. He wanted to intervene, the girl sounded like she needed help, plus he had a lot of time before he had to go see All Might at the beach since he left so early. He gulped as he walked into the alley.
"Leave me alone!" A blacked haired girl said, it was the distressed voice that he noted earlier. She had onyx eyes and her hair was in a ponytail.
"Aww, come on little lady. You said you're new in town, right? Let us show you around then." One of the other two people said to the girl, his quirk seemed to be that his hair was metal, and he had no eyebrows. 'He seems like a thug' Izuku noted to himself, that meant he probably didn't have a lot of fighting experience, but then again neither did Izuku.
"Yeah, come on babe!" The other goon said in a high pitched voice, his quirk seemed to be that he had chicken legs. 'And he's not alone either.' Izuku added, that meant that he would be at a disadvantage if the confrontation led to a fight.
"I said I'm fine!" The woman responded back to the two, taking steps back to put distance between herself and the thugs, yet they were making advances. She looked nervous, she hadn't expected to run into delinquents when going out for a stroll so early in the morning, she just wanted to explore her news surroundings!
Izuku noticed that they looked like they were highschoolers,about a year or two older than himself, surrounding this very elegant looking woman, who looked rich.
This could've meant a multitude of things, but he just knew that whatever the thugs were planning wasn't good.
'This can't be good' Izuku thought to himself.' He gulped. He didn't know what he could do, his quirk seemed stronger than before but he hadn't even tested anything about it's new parameters yet. But he couldn't sit back and watch! 'Rule one about being a hero, meddling when you don't need to, is the essence of being a hero!' Izuku repeated nervously to himself as he walked up to the two thugs.
"H-Hey ummm, wha-what's going on over h-here" Izuku somehow managed to stutter out. He was burning in embarrassment. The two thugs didn't seem all that bothered by Izuku's appearance though.
"None of yo' business bozzo, now back off!" the thug with the metal hair said as he turned around to the greanette and threw a punch towards him. 'Crap! I thought I'd have at least some time to talk this out!'
Izuku shut his eyes waiting to feel the pain, it was a human instinct and after all he never really felt all that much before. It ticked on for what felt like minutes, the single moment before impact, yet it was only a mere second, finally, he felt the hit on his chest except it was a lot less painful than he was expecting. He opened his eyes back up to see the thug growling in pain, cursing, and holding his hand.
"AHHHHH, WHAT THE HELL I THINK IT'S FUCKING BROKEN, THE HELL IS YOUR QUIRK YOU PUNK!" The thug yelled at Izuku. True to his word, the man's fist looked bloodied, like he had just punched a stone wall.
Izuku was just as confused as the man. He stared at his hands and saw what looked like concrete coming off of them, and it wasn't only secluded to his hands, it was also coming off of his chest. 'Earth? Is that what that was?' Izuku looked back at the thugs, slowly getting himself into a fighting position that he saw some spiky hair guy do in a show once, a little more confident now.
"Th-That's for me to kno-know and you t-to never find out!" Izuku yelled with as much confidence as he could muster, yet his nervousness still bled through a lot. He took one confident step towards the thugs and in a flash of lightning he appeared, not in front of them, but between them and the girl. However, he didn't expect to go so fast and accidentally ended up crashing into said girl. They ended up on the floor and Izuku was pressed against her.
"AH! I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Izuku repeated to the black haired girl as he got up, blushing like a mad man, his face matching a strawberry or a tomato. And waving his hands in front of his face.
"So you're taking her for yourself, why you little-"
The words that came out of the chicken legged thug's mouth annoyed Izuku greatly, 'So that's what they were going to do, I thought this might have just been robbery, but that's just disgusting!' He thought angrily. Izuku turned very quickly to face the two men, his eyes glowing red with rage for a second, and as he did a gust of wind came from the darkness of the alley knocking the thugs to their feet. He looked very serious until he fully registered what one of them said to him. 'You're taking her for yourself!'
"N-no, of course not! I-I'm just not that good at contr-trolling my quirk just yet!" Izuku got out as he was flustered by the statement. He then again took a fighting pose again, he need to protect this after all and these thugs seemed dumb enough to stick around and test their luck. This time he was lower to the ground. Another one that he saw from the same show. He needed to get his nervousness under control so he decided to analyze his quirk, quirk analysis was something that always helped him.
'It happened when I turned around... my movement might be the key to drawing out my power, at least for now it is, I might be able to get used to it later on, but for now focus on movement, movement.' Izuku took a deep breath and decided to follow that. Going with his logic Izuku decided to throw his right fist forward and from his palm sprouted fire. A flower of flame quickly danced towards the two criminals, lighting up the alley in the process, it didn't reach the thugs but it did scare them. Making both of them pee themselves. 'Didn't mean to do that! I need to get which element I use under control. I need to get the power under control too!'
"What the hell! This punk is too strong!" The two yelled in unison as they got up and ran out of the alley into the streets like literal chickens, while one of them anyway.
Izuku let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding. Finally able to recuperate himself, turned around and got a good look at the girl. She had black hair and was wearing a red skirt along with a white long sleeve shirt and a black jacket to accompany it. She was about an inch taller than Izuku making her five foot eight.
Izuku noticed that she wasn't looking at him though, instead looking off to the side, her eyes fluttering to him and then back to the side, and she seemed like she was messing with her hands, and Izuku was confused by this. 'Why isn't she looking at me? Is there something on my face?' Izuku felt a shiver on his arm and a bit of his chest and noticed that his hoodie and shirt were gone in those places.
"AH WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!" Izuku yelled as he was embarrassed that he was, partially, shirtless in front of a girl, a very pretty one at that, her black hair matched her intellectual looking eyes, her hair was also in a spiky ponytail that didn't match her very mature face, but it still worked amazingly somehow. She also had a strand of hair go up and over the right side of her face,
"It happened when you threw that punch, it started from your sleeve…." the girl responded, still not looking at him.
"Ahhhhhhh I didn't n-notice I'm reallyyyyy sorry!" Izuku responded as red as a tomato trying to cover both his body and his face with both of his arms simultaneously, but failing to do so.
The girl looked like she was thinking about something. Then proceeded to take off her jacket and rolled up her sleeve, out from it popped a blue shirt and a white hoodie. She then handed both of them to the greenette.
"Here….don't want someone who saved me freezing to death…" The girl responded, still not looking at him.
Izuku took both the hoodie and the shirt and put them on as fast as he possibly could, looking like a blur in the process. He turned back to the girl, who now had her own jacket back on, and decided to respond, it would be rude if he didn't "S-sorry about that-" Izuku stopped, 'I don't know her name'
The girl picked up on the cue though, "My name is Yaoyorozu, Momo Yaoyorozu, what is yours?!" The girl said finally looking at him, with what appeared to be a blush on her face. 'He seems nice, much better than those other two ruffians.' She thought.
"Sorry Ya-Yaoyorozu-san, and Izuku M-Midoriya!" Izuku blurted out as he was still embarrassed about being shirtless in front of the girl.
Izuku took time to take a mental note of the girl's quirk as he would want to write it down in his notebook later, this girl seemed to be a highschooler with her height but she may have been younger or older, he couldn't tell, but there was a chance that he might get to see her again. And that made him strangely happy.
Izuku then noticed that it was 6:46, so he had some time, but he did want to get to the beach early. It just felt right to show up early to him. But, after everything that happened he couldn't just leave this person by themself. What if more thugs showed up? Or what if something else equally bad happened? Musutafu might've been a safe city but there was always a chance.
"Y-Yaoyorozu-san, I need to go to the beach, would y-you like to come al-along?" Izuku stuttered out as he had never asked a girl to accompany him anywhere. It's not that he didn't talk to girls, it's just that no one had ever interested him and thus he had never asked someone out, and this felt like he was asking someone out! And he barely knew her!
"Are you sure Midoriya-san, I don't want to be a bother…" Momo responded very timidly as she didn't want to get in the way of what Izuku was doing. 'Maybe he isn't better than those thugs..' She thought, maybe he was just trying to use his good deed as an excuse to get a 'score'
"Well…..don't worry about that, honestly I-I'm ok with it...p-plus there could be more thugs like those two…" Izuku said to her, embarrassed but not as much as before. Plus he always heard something about her being new in town, so maybe he could help her get acquainted with the area, it was kind of hard to get around with so many villain attacks always happening.
Yaoyorozu took some time, adopting a thinking position in the meantime, 'He seems genuine enough, and while he is very strong he doesn't seem overly confident, in fact he seems very kind.' She thought as she made her decision, she nodded at Izuku "It does make sense, and thank you Midoriya-san, I didn't know what I was going to do with those two, I was really frightened." She said as they walked out of the alley way.
Izuku shook his head, "D-Don't mention it, I just saw someone was in trouble and wanted to help, that's all." He said, and he smiled at the end. It was the first time he didn't seem like a complete trainwreck in front of the girl.
'He's humble also' She thought. "Well that's a very commendable thing to do Midoriya-san." She said as they kept on walking towards the beach, making conversation on their way there.
However, there was one thing that Izuku didn't think about. Why he was going to the beach. HE WAS GOING TO SEE ALL MIGHT AT SAID BEACH! How did he forget?! He couldn't even think of a way out of it not, they were already at the beach!
Or at least the nearby sign said it was a beach, you couldn't really tell with all the trash around, making it look more like a junkyard., from around one trash pile a certain muscular man appeared. "Ah Young Midoriya, I see you're ready to start your training to inherit my quir-" All Might paused as he saw that Izuku in fact was not alone.
Yaoyorozu froze, 'Why is the number hero here!'
All Might looked between his potential successor and the girl that was accompanying him. "Young Midoriya, get over here." All Might ushered Izuku into a corner so they could have a chat.
"I'm so sorry All Might!" Izuku said to his idol.
"Young Midoriya who is this young lady and why has she accompanied you?" All Might asked the greanette, all the while Yaoyorozu was looking at the two very confused as the Number One Hero had a casual relationship with a very plain, albeit cute, looking boy.
"Her name is Momo Yaoyorozu, I met her on my way over, there were some thugs, and I ended up fighting them and then they ran away, then i realized that I had to come meet you at the beach and I didn't want anything to happen to her…. so I told her to just come with me.." Izuku said a little blush on his face.

"SO YOU SAVED HER YOUNG MIDORIYA, I knew I picked my successor we-'' All Might yelled as he deflated back into Small Might, blood coming out of his mouth. As he was still feeling a bit of the backlash from using his hero form too much yesterday. 'Darn it, I thought I'd be feeling better. Wait oh shit-'
Both Toshinori and Izuku slowly turned their heads to look at Yaoyorozu who was very shocked at what just happened and appeared to be frozen in her shock. "By any chance can you keep a secret?" Izuku asked, looking between her and his soon to be mentor.
"Yes…I can," Yaoyorozu said as she stared at All Might's true form dumbfoundedly.
"Very *cough* well then, the cat's out of the bag, so just might as well stay here, in case there's any more thugs like before." All Might said to the onyx eyed girl. "However, I must ask that you do not tell this to anyone, do you understand young lady?"
Yaoyorozu nodded frantically, looking wide eyed at a Small All Might.
Izuku walked over to Yaoyorozu, "I'm really sorry Yaoyorozu-san, I didn't mean to burden you with something like this! It just completely slipped my mind!"
"N-No, it's fine Midoriya-san, while this is certainly unexpected for me, I believe I can handle it, though I hope that you can explain more of this to me later." Izuku nodded in understanding and All Might took that as his cue to interrupt the conversation.
"Now." All Might said as he buffed up. Yaoyorozu and Izuku both looked in awe as All Might turned to the greanette. 'Even though I see it on TV all the time and saw it yesterday, his muscle form still looks so cool!' Izuku though, while Yaoyorozu was having similar thoughts.
"Young Midoriya, all GREAT heroes all have one thing in common, their body moves before they can act, and you with what you call a weak quirk, rose to the occasion when all the pros around you did not! You inspired me to act and as an inspiration to me, I deem you worthy of my quirk One For All!"
'One For All….' Izuku and Yaoyorozu both thought it was such a cool name for a quirk, it ran chills through both of them just hearing the name be said., Momo glanced between the two waiting for what was going to happen next. Always wondering what the heck the number one hero meant by 'I deem you worthy of my quirk.' and what he meant by Izuku having a 'weak' quirk, and also what Izuku did that inspired All Might.
"My quirk, One For All, is a special quirk, it is a torch passed on from one generation to the next that gets stronger with each generation. And I, Toshinori Yagi or by what you know me as ALL MIGHT, have chosen to pass this torch onto you, do you accept Young Midoriya!" All Might said shrinking down, smiling and holding out his hand, with a rainbow glow emitting from his palm.
Izuku reached for the light clenching his hand into a fist, and said only two words "yes sir!" with the most amount of courage and determination that he could.
Yaoyorozu couldn't help but look in awe at the two. While the idea of passing on a quirk was unheard, quirks can do anything so it wasn't out of the realm of possibility and it only makes sense that the quirk would stockpile power as it would gain the quirks of the previous users, right? At least that was the thought in her head.
All Might, now Small Might, decided to speak again, "Alright Young Midoriya, until the UA entrance exam you will train your quirk, body and mind, until I deem you are ready to receive One For All, understand?" All Might said encouragingly only making Izuku more excited and happy that his idol thinks he's worthy of such a power.
"Yes sir!" Izuku yelled, getting pumped for some training.
"Young Yaoyorozu, well I don't know you that well, but I'm asking you to please assist Young Midoriya with his training. You seem very trustworthy in my opinion, since you agreed to keep my secret." All Might asked bowing towards the black haired girl.
Yaoyorozu blushed at the fact that number one hero was both bowing to her and asking her for a favor at the same time, "Well, I'm entering UA through recommendation." this shocked Izuku, 'If she's a recommendation student that must mean that she either is really really strong, maybe stronger than Kacchan, or has a really amazing quirk, or it could be both. No doubt, she's really amazing. If I train with her I might get stronger, and I'm really going to need it.' Izuku thought he said it in his head, but in fact mumbled the whole thing.
And both Momo and Toshinori were staring at the boy.
"Ah, I'm sorry!" Izuku said bowing towards the two of them.
"No it's fine, you did save me so the least I can do is help you in return Midoriya-san." Momo said, somehow she understood what Izuku mumbled, no one had ever managed that before.
"A-Are you sure Yaoyorozu-san? I don't want to waste your time.." Izuku mumbled
'He really is humble' Yaoyorozu thought with a blush, "Yes Midoriya-san, I don't mind at all, plus it would allow me to also get a tad stronger at the same time, in essence killing two birds with one stone." She said with a simple.
"Ah, w-well thank you Yaoyorozu-san, I really appreciate it!" Izuku said, his face almost reaching nuclear due to her smile.
"NOW THEN YOU TWO!" All Might said as he buffed up. "YOUR GOAL WILL BE TO CLEAR THIS BEACH BEFORE THE UA ENTRANCE EXAMS! OF COURSE, YOU CAN USE YOUR QUIRKS, BUT I RECOMMEND KEEPING THEM ON THE DOWN LOW AS TO UP YOUR PHYSICAL STRENGTH, ESPECIALLY YOU YOUNG MIDORIYA, YOU NEED A STRONG VESSEL FOR ONE FOR ALL!" All Might said to the two striving to be heroes.
Momo and Izuku both looked at eachother and yelled "Alright!" in sync
But before they got to work Izuku wanted to try something. "Actually All Might, can I try something first?" He asked, and the hero nodded, saying "Of course Young Midoriya.
Up until this point Izuku had been creating the elements, and while before he barely made anything, now he can make a lot more. This time however, he wanted to try something else. So he walked out to the coastline of Dagobah, moving around the maze of trash, both Small Might and Momo staring at him with confusion.
"Did something happen to Young Midoriya?" All Might asked.
Yaoyorozu shook her head, while blushing, remembering that he was the number one hero.
Izuku instead focused on the task in front of him. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he had time to concentrate this time opposed to the alley. He started moving his hands back on forth. The water in front of him was following the same movement. He brought his hands up and the wave rose, he dropped his hands and the wave fell back down.
'My element manipulation is on a whole other level than it was before!' Izuku thought to himself in awe. He brought his hands up and over his head, causing a glob of water to float over him.
All Might and Yaoyorozu walked over and inspected what Izuku was doing, in a sense it was beautiful. It was like Izuku was dancing and the water was mirroring his movements.
And then the two were right next to him. He looked so fascinated and let his hands relax and just like that the glob bursted and the water landed on both All Might and Momo.
"...I'm sorry…"
