chapter 2
Izuku could say that today was the best day of his life.
Kyuubi told him to not tell his mother or anyone yet about him until they could train a little, even thought Izuku wants to tell his mother and classmates about his quirk, he decided to trust Kyuubi.
His mother was surprised by the big smile on his face, she never saw him smile like that after he was told he was quirkless, but she is glad to see her son so happy again.
After eating his breakfast, his mom took him to the school before going to her own work, and after entering, Kurama would see another thing that Izuku and Naruto had in common.
But it doesn't mean that it was a good thing though.
Izuku was quietly walking to his classrom, and Kurama couldn't help but feel some sort of déjà vu.
Kurama could feel a lot of negative emotions around Izuku, and the interesting part is that all seems to be towards Izuku himself.
And while it isn't the same level that the villagers had towards Naruto, it is still strange that everyone have a dislike towards Izuku, but no one knows that he is sealed inside Izuku like he was with Naruto, so why they hate him ?
'Wait a second, when Izuku thought that i was just a dream, he called himself a "useless deku", and i don't think Deku is a friendly nickname.'
"(Hey kid, why does everyone here seems to have a problem with you ?)" Kurama didn't miss how the kid flinched at his question,
"(I-i don't know what you are t-talking about)" Kurama narrow his eyes, not that Izuku could see, if the kid doesn't want to talk, then he will find out himself.
Much to Izuku relief, Kyuubi didn't said anything else, and after arriving his classrom and quietly sitting on his chair, he hopes that Kaachan would leave him alone today.
But unaware to Izuku, Kurama felt how the negative feelings from the boy with red eyes and blond hair seems bigger than everyone else towards Izuku, which made Kurama a bit wary of the boy.
When it was break time, Kurama found out exactly why the class didn't liked Izuku.
"You truly think you are at the same level as me ?!" A voice shouts in anger, and both Kurama and Izuku heard it.
There, Izuku saw a boy, same age as him, in the ground, a bit hurt by the same blond that Kurama was wary.
'A bully ? Hmph, humans are always the same.' Not that bullies was something new to Kurama, he remembers how Naruto also was bullied, but he remembered that the blond ninja got revenge in form of pranks.
But Kurama didn't expected his new Jinchuriki to move in front of the boy, as if shielding him.
"L-leave him alone k-kaachan !" Izuku says while trembling, and Bakugou smirks
"Well well, as always Deku appears to save the day." Kaachan says with mock tone.
"S-stop that ! He didn't do anything wrong !" Bakugou punches his hand, a small explosion leaving it, and Kurama raised an eyebrow at that.
'He has a power that seems offensive and yet, this boy stands on his way.' Kurama respect towards Izuku grew a little, but he won't admit it to him.
Said boy already ran away, and Kurama couldn't supress a snort, coward.
"Of course he did, that idiot thought that his quirk was better than mine, and even thought he could enter UA, i just needed to show him his place." Bakugou smirk grew while Izuku flinched.
"T-thats still not right ! A hero should never attack an innocent, y-you are acting live a villain !" Izuku puts a hand on his mouth after he said the last part, he didn't meant to, but it's like his mouth moved on it own.
'Wow, an ego like that and still a kid, doesn't want to see what would be when he become a adult.' Kurama didn't expected that Izuku would call him a villain like that, and from what Hagoromo told him, this world is filled with heroes, like that blond buffon, and if his guess is right, then villain should be at least an great offense, especially with kids.
And Kurama was right, he saw how Bakugou anger grew, he knew that he was going to attack Izuku, but Kurama saw a teacher watching them and closed his eyes.
'The teacher will stop these two, no doubt.' He thinks before slowly falling asleep.
But then he quickly opened his eyes when he saw that the Bakugou kid punched Izuku.
"Listen here...Deku, i'm going to be the next no.1 hero, you are just a stepping stone, don't think that you are the same level as me, maybe i should remind where you belong !" Bakugou says before using his quirk in Izuku, and the teacher was watching, doing nothing to stop these two.
And Kurama anger was growing, as he thought, humans would always be evil, Naruto, Ashura, Minato, and very few humans could be called good.
'Humans truly are despicable beings, why aren't they helping this kid.' It doesn't make sense, while the villagers feared Kyuubi, Izuku hasn't done anything wrong.
And what Kurama didn't know, was that his anger was affecting Izuku, and when Izuku opened his eyes, they were crimson red with a slit, and a orange familiar energy was gathering around Izuku.
With a roar, Izuku punched Bakugou in the face, which knocked the boy down.
Everyone in the area was speechless, how did the boy, who was thought to be quirkless, managed to do that.
And Kurama was even more, how did the boy accessed his chakra, he wasn't angry, at least not enough to access his chakra.
'Wait, before... i was angry at the humans, did my anger affected the kid ?' It doesn't make sense, even when Naruto released the seal he wasn't affected by Kurama anger, so why.
'Wait, could it be...?' When Izuku was getting ready, Kurama didn't saw any kind of seal on him, Naruto always had his seal even when they became partners, so Kurama wasn't only sealed on Izuku body, was he...
Kurama cuts his train of thought when the teacher finally intervened "Bakugou ! Midoriya ! Enough, both of you, detention !" Thats when Izuku comes back to normal, his eyes become green again and the orange energy disappears, but unlike before, Izuku eyes still are the same slits, they only had gone back to green.
When Izuku saw Bakugou getting up with fear on his eyes, Izuku quickly grow guilty and panic.
"K-kaachan i-i i'm sorry i didn't..." Whatever Izuku was going to say was cut off by a familiar voice.
"(Kid, we need to talk)"
In the end, he had to wait his mother to arrive, after talking with Kyuubi and enduring Bakugou hateful glare, he understood what happened.
That energy was Kyuubi chakra, unlike his own, Kyuubi chakra was different and more powerful, that was activated when he feels anger.
He didn't mention the fact that the anger that made Izuku use his chakra was from Kurama himself, because it isn't the right time to explain everything.
Not to mention how his eyes permanently became slits, which cemented Kurama theory.
"Hagoromo didn't sealed me only in this kid body, he sealed me in his soul." Kurama feels a little angry that he is stuck with this kid forever, but it makes sense, the only way Kurama could be saved was merging his soul with another.
"Izuku !" Inko shouts with no little worry in her tone, which made Kurama smile, at least this kid have his mom.
"Are you okay !? The school called me and told me you got into a fight with Katsuki ! Are you hurt somewhere ? Do you feel something broken ? Do you-" Izuku quickly stopped his mom ramble, and Kurama could see that this kid inherited more from his mom than only the looks.
"I-i'm okay mom ! nothing is wrong or broken, i swear !" He didn't mentioned that Kyuubi healed any kind of wound he got because of Bakugou.
Inko feels relief overflow her heart, but she noticed something different on his eyes.
"Izuku... what happened to your eyes ?" Izuku gulps, that was going to be a little hard to explain.
In the end, Kurama allowed Izuku to tell his mother about him and his "quirk", and thanks to that and Izuku pleading, she didn't took Izuku to a quirk doctor.
Going to a quirk doctor would be a waste of time, mainly because Izuku is technically quirkless, Kurama and chakra isn't a quirk, so it would be pointless.
And while Kurama didn't want to anyone knowing about him, it was necessary for Inko to know, or else they would have to go there.
Thankfully, she decided to trust him to train Izuku, something that they are starting now.
"(Ok kid, the first step, you need to focus on your chakra, i recommend meditating.)" Izuku nods and closes his eyes, while it is a bit hard to focus since he is too much excited with the fact that he has a quirk, he manages to concentrace and feel the chakra.
"(Good, for now, feel the chakra course through you, control it, it might be hard since you have too much, but focus it on your feet and try to climb the tree.)" Izuku nods and focus on putting chakra on his feet.
Inko watches a little far, Izuku asked if he could train in the florest, Inko allowed it, but only if she could watch him.
Izuku puts his feet on the tree and gets pushed back, leaving a fracture on the tree.
"Izuku !" Inko runs towards him, worried about what happened.
"Are you ok ?" Inko helps Izuku get up, luckily he didn't hit his head in the others tree.
"Y-yes, i just didn't expected this to happen." Thinking about it, why did it happened.
As if reading his mind, Kyuubi answers "(That was because you focused too much chakra on your feet, too much will cause you to get pushed back and causing a fracture on whatever you tried to climb, thats why it was better to train here than your house.)" Izuku gulps, he truly is glad this place exist.
Getting up, Izuku explains "Kyuubi said that it was because i put too much chakra on my feet, and that it was a good idea to come here, or else i may would have ended destroying the walls." Izuku says the last part a bit sheepishly.
"It's ok, b-but i will stay close here, in case it happens again." Izuku nods and goes to another tree to try again.
This time Izuku decided to put a bit less of chakra, he put a foot in the tree and nothing happened, he smiles and when he was about to put the other, he falls down.
"(This time, it was too little...)" Izuku groans as Inko helps him get up.
Izuku groans, this was going to be harder than he thought.
While it was hard at first, Izuku started to get the hang of the tree climbing, and his mother below him in case he falls helped a lot to soothe his fears.
And not to mention that after doing it for days and managing to use it without even trying made him have a better control of his chakra.
And now, Kyuubi told him about the Water surface walking technique, which Izuku didn't understood why not learn it first since it would spare from the falls he got every time he messed up with the chakra flow.
"(While water surface walking is safer depending on where you are practing, it is harder to learn and master, especially if you don't know how to use tree climbing technique.)" Izuku sighs, it's a good reason.
"(How does it works ?")
"(Same way as tree climbing, but this time you have to change the flow of your chakra, we will be doing this until you finally manage to do it without even trying.)" Izuku nods and decides to use the same chakra flow he did with the tree climbing technique.
It worked... for a moment before his feet got submerged, thankfully it's a shallow river.
"(You felt it didn't you ? How you need to change the flow of your chakra to keep walking in the surface, this will be far harder than tree climbing, but if you master it then we can step up your training)" Izuku nods and tries again.
And Kyuubi was right, it was far harder to keep walking in the surface, Izuku could hold for a few seconds before he falls on the water, at least it is far less painful than falling from a tree, Izuku thanks a lot of Kyuubi regeneration.
It took a week and half until Izuku managed to finally master the water walking, Kyuubi said that it took less time than he expected since the more chakra you have, the more harder is to control.
And now, he is on his mindscape with Kyuubi while he explains something about hand seals.
"Remember this well, because it's the most important part of molding chakra, there are twelve basics hand seals." Izuku nods, already with his notebook.
"They are rat, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, bird, dog and boar." Kurama says while demostrating each seal, Izuku nods and tries to replicate them.
"For now, your job is to remember all of them, as i said they are one, if not the most important part of using your chakra" Izuku nods and they keep repeating the seals, it took one day and half but Izuku finally got in his brain each hand seal and how to use them.
"Have a good day Izuku." Inko says before leaving.
Izuku takes a deep breath and looks at the school in front of him, after training a litttle, Kyuubi convinced him to tell his mother about everything that happened at Aldera, needless to say, she took him away as fast as she could, thankfully by the time Izuku told her about everything that happened, the school year was over, so he didn't have to worry about losing classes.
But it doesn't mean that he isn't nervous, he doesn't know what to expect about this new school, he doesn't know what the people will think, sure, he have a quirk now but it may doesn't matter, maybe-.
"(Oi ! stop with the muttering and get over it already !)" Kyuubi says, a bit annoyed, while he started to like Izuku and the determination the kid had when training, he still can't endure his muttering habit or how much fanboy he is.
"(Sorry !)"
The first thing Izuku noticed was that his new school is far different from Aldera, no one looks at him with disgust, pity or anything, everyone is minding their own business, sure, he got a few looking at him with confusion but he is sure that it was only because he is new on this school.
"(See ! I told you that telling your mother about changing schools was a good idea idiot.)" Izuku flushes in embarrasment, he truly didn't wanted to burden his on mother, but Kyuubi could be pretty... persuasive.
But still, it's nice to be in a place that he is... normal, even if his only friend is Kyuubi.
"Alright class, this year we have a new student, you can enter now and please introduce yourself" The teacher says with a kind smile and Izuku gulps, he hates being put in the spotlight.
After entering, Izuku takes a deep breath "U-uh, M-my name is Midoriya Izuku, i hope we can get a-along !" Izuku bows slight and the teacher nods.
"Alright Midoriya-kun, please go to your seat next to Uraraka." Said girl raises her hand and Izuku shyly nods before walking towards his seat.
When he got there, the girl introduced herself "Hi, i'm Uraraka Ochako, nice to meet you !" Izuku couldn't help but blush, he never talked with a girl befor except his mother, and Kyuubi snickering doesn't help.
"I-uh, m-my name is Midoriya Izuku." Uraraka giggles and Izuku blush deepens.
"I know, you said that before." The teacher then clears her throat and Uraraka told him that they would talk later before the class started.
Izuku was on the rooftop with his tray, and thankfully it's empty, while this school was better than Aldera, he can't help but fall in olds habits.
Thats it, until the doors open and he sees Uraraka there with her on tray, and the smile she sent to him made him blush.
"Midoriya-kun, finally i found you." Izuku had wide eyes, was she looking for him all this time ?
"Mind if i sit here ?" Izuku could only nod as she sits.
"So, i noticed that your eyes are different from normal, is it normal ?" Izuku looks away at that, Kyuubi explained that it was a side effect from using his chakra, and he still feel a bit self conscious of it.
"Y-yeah, it has to do w-with my quirk." Izuku says, still shy due to talking with a girl.
"Thats so cute ! It remind me of a fox." Izuku gulps, remembering the fact that there is a literal gigant fox with nine tails inside him.
"But i'm curious, what is your quirk ?" Izuku takes a deep breath, he already know the cover story.
"W-well, my quirk name is energy manipulation, i have an energy inside me that i can use for many things, i still need to find exactly how to use it better." Izuku says and focus his chakra, making a blue light leave his body, leaving Uraraka in awe.
"Thats so awesome !" Izuku blushes at her face, it's so cute !
"S-so, what is y-your quirk ?"
"My quirk is zero gravity i can cancel the gravity of anything that i touch with my five fingers, thats why i use these gloves or else i may end up making something float by accident, but if i overdo it then i get nauseous." Izuku had stars on his eyes at seeing a new quirk.
"Thats so cool ! Can you control how much gravity you take ? Can you take the gravity of anything ? Can you take your own gravity ? Can-" Izuku stops when he hears a familiar growl on his head.
Uraraka was lost at his storm of questions, which made Izuku panic "I-uh, i-i'm sorry ! it's just i get really excited when i see a new quirk and i just thought your quirk was awesome and i-uh." Izuku quickly shut up in embarrasment, and Kyuubi laughing at him isn't making anything better.
Uraraka smiles "It's okay ! I don't mind at all, but maybe if you ask the questions a bit slower then i may be able to answer them." Izuku was surprised that she wasn't creeped out by his muttering and smiles.
"Sure !" The two starts talking about each other quirks, Izuku couldn't say too much about his own aside from the tree climbing and water walking, but he enjoyed talking with Uraraka-chan and the fact that she enjoyed answering his questions only makes it better.
The bell rings and the duo starts walking towards their classrom, Izuku had a big smile on his face, he missed having a friend.
"(Focus on the chakra, remember the seal, and go!)" Izuku nods.
While his school has started it didn't mean that he would slack off his training, and Kyuubi made sure that he won't forget it anytime soon.
Izuku takes a deep breath before crossing his index and middle fingers from both hands together "Shadow Clone Jutsu !"
A clone pops up right in front of Izuku, both jumps in surprise.
"I...did it !"
"(Good, now this will be easier, by making the clones train different things then we can focus on something else.)"
Izuku nods and creates two more clones before each one goes to train different things.
Kyuubi suggested one to train the transformation jutsu, one to train the fire style: Fireball jutsu and the other said to train the rasengan.
Kyuubi taught Izuku how to train each one, so each clone already knows what to do.
Original Izuku was going to learn how to harness kyuubi chakra, not only it will help him when fighting, but also won't make him lose control if he gets angry, which kyuubi warned that it can be a problem.
"(As i told you, the only way to control my chakra is by meditating, focus and try to use a small part of my chakra.)" Izuku nods and takes a meditative pose.
While Original Izuku was training his control over Kyuubi chakra, one of the clones is training the transformation.
'All right the seals are... dog, boar and ram.' Izuku thinks to himself and perfoms the seals.
"Transformation Jutsu !" White smoke covers Izuku and when he looks at himself, he didn't changed anything.
Izuku sighs, he was planning on trying to transform into All Might, but his first attempt failed.
'Not yet ! This was just the first attempt.' Izuku then repeats the jutsu again.
'The seals are... snake, ram, monkey, boar, horse and tiger.' Izuku then focus the chakra and perfoms the seals.
"Firestyle: Fireball Jutsu !" Izuku sees a tiny flame leave his mouth and frowns.
'Don't get frustrated, Endeavor makes it look easy.' Izuku then tries again, remembering how Endeavor controls his flames.
Izuku puts a water ballon on his hand and focus the chakra.
'I need to make this pop up just by using my chakra, Kyuubi said that it would take a lot of time, good thing he told me about the shadow clone jutsu' Izuku is truly grateful that kyuubi knew that jutsu, or else he would waste too much time on this training.
Izuku frowns, minutes has gone by and nothing happened to the ballon.
'Need to keep going, i need to learn this until UA.'
Izuku was starting to sweat due to the concentration, and he still had yet to achieve the form he used against Bakugou, and just remembering that makes him feel guilty.
Izuku guess he had been here for two hours, he promised his mother he would only take three hours to train.
Izuku stops gathering kyuubi chakra and takes deep breaths, that took a lot more than Izuku thought it would.
"(Maybe your clones had better luck at their training.)" Izuku nods and dispels the clones, he flinches at the headache he got from the information he received.
"(No, they didn't made any progress.)" Kyuubi nods, it was expected that this would be the result.
"(Out of curiosity, how did your clones tried to use their jutsus ?)"
Izuku blushes at the question "(W-well, the rasengan training i did exactly as you said, but the transformation jutsu i tried to transform in All Might and the Fireball jutsu i tried to control the flames like Endeavor.)" Izuku swear he heard a facepalm somewhere.
"(U-uh, Kyuubi-san ?)"
"(...You are a idiot)" Izuku flinches at that.
On his way home, Kyuubi explains his mistakes and Izuku facepalms, he wasted a day of training, while the rasengan and his attempt at using Kyuubi chakra was done right, the other two were wrong.
"(Your obssesion towards heroes is slowing you down, you need to remember, chakra is far different than quirks.)" Izuku was confused, the way kyuubi said, if he didn't knew better he would think that kyuubi said that his chakra isn't a quirk.
After being scolded by Kyuubi, Izuku started to train harder, it took a few days for him to learn the Fireball Jutsu and the transformation jutsu, but it took a bit more to pop the ballon.
After Izuku learned the jutsus and finished the first step of learning the rasengan, Kyuubi told him to practice the body flicker techinque instead of Fireball Jutsu, and the other clone trained his aim by throwing rocks at the right spot.
Kurama wanted to use shurikens, but he doubt that Inko would allow her ten years old son to mess with it, maybe when Izuku is older.
The original Izuku still tries to control how to use kyuubi chakra, he managed to use that form he used against Bakugou, but nothing more yet.
"A rubber ball... this is going to take far more time." Izuku mutters.
The clone that was responsable to train the rasengan got the hardest task, the first step he learned how to spin the chakra and destroy the water balloon, but now he needs to learn how to destroy a rubber ball... which is far harder.
"I hope the others are having more luck than me..." Izuku mutters and returns to try and destroy the rubber ball.
"So you can shoot fire from your mouth ?!" Uraraka exclaims with excitment and Izuku smiles sheepishly.
"Y-yeah, i was a bit inspired by Endeavor and i thought that maybe my quirk could do something similar." Kurama snorts, remembering how his first attempt he tried to use Endeavor as a example.
"But still, thats so awesome ! Do you have other ideas that you want to try with your chakra?" Izuku debates whenever show her about the shadow clones, but while it is harmless, quirk usage isn't allowed.
"W-well, i have a few ideas that i'm trying, but nothing concrete yet." Uraraka nods and they stop talking, seeing the teacher arrive.
When Izuku finally pops the rubber ball, he couldn't help but scream, it took him a month, but he finally did it.
Only for his happiness to be crushed when Kyuubi told him that the hardest part is the last one.
Izuku smiles at the new jutsu on his arsenal, after learning the body flicker techinique or teleportation jutsu, Kyuubi told him about the substitution Jutsu, that made him create a clone that would be throwing rocks at him while he tries to use the substitution jutsu.
It was hard at first, since it's similar to the teleportation jutsu, he always used that instead of the substitution jutsu, but it didn't took too long to master it.
Kurama sighs, after seeing how much the kid is trying to use the rasengan without the clones, he decided to take pity on him and suggest to use the clones, needless to say, he managed to use it after a few tries.
But still, he was starting to like the kid, he is determined and does his best to master the jutsus.
Not to mention that he doesn't see him as a weapon like the others, sure, he calls Kurama his quirk, but he can't blame the kid, he still have to tell him the truth.
'But i wonder, will me being fused with his soul have any more effects on his body or only the eyes will be affected ?' Kurama shakes his head, if there is more consequences of the soul fusion then they will deal with it.
Izuku couldn't help but feel happy.
Even though he needed a clone, he finally did it, he finally learned the rasengan.
He looks at his hand and clenches it, while he have a few offensive jutsus, he still have a long way to go to become a great hero.
'But still, i won't give up !'
