Chapter 1
"Kurama !" Thats the last thing the fox hears before disappearing.
"I'm sorry kit." Kurama says, he will miss Naruto, the kid was the best partner and friend he could have and he doesn't regret giving his own life to save his.
Kurama doesn't know what to expect next, Tailed Beasts doesn't die, when their Jinchuuriki dies they take a few years and reforms again, but this time he knows his death is permanent.
But Kurama couldn't never know that he would hear an familiar voice "Kurama, i'm sorry." Opening his eyes as fast as he could, he sees a person he never expected to see again.
The sage of the six path, Hagoromo Otsutsuki is there, something that almost brought a tear to the fox but he would never admit it.
While Kurama is happy, he needed to know "So, whats happens now ? Will i stay here forever ?" Hagoromo shakes his head.
"No Kurama, i want to ask you something, you can choose if you want to do it or move on." Kurama nods and Hagoromo begins.
"A few years after i created you nine, something else was created, the hate of my mother, and the wars this world had, created another Tailed Beast." Kurama had wide eyes, another Tailed Beast ?! And born entirely from hate ?!
"I couldn't stop it since i wasn't alive anymore, so, using the rest of my power, i threw it in another world, one far from here." Kurama nods, thats explains why he never heard or saw another Tailed Beast aside from his eight siblings.
"But it seems that it is still alive, i don't know where it is, or how it is, but i can sense the same chakra i felt before sending it there." Kurama can see where this is going.
"And you want me to go to that world and destroy it ?" When the sage nodded, Kurama scowled a bit.
"That world can survive on it own, it doesn't have any other Tailed Beast and i doubt it has an low ammount of people, if they fight it together and come up with a sealing jutsu they can stop it, but this world is dealing with problems, namely Momoshiki, Isshiki and others Otsutsuki." Hagoromo nods.
"I'm aware of it, and your plan of sealing jutsu would work, but unlike our world, this world doesn't have a single chakra aside from the Tailed Beast i told you." Kurama was speechless again, a world without chakra, how can it be possible ?!
Seeing the surprise in Kurama face, Hagoromo explains "Unlike our world, the people there started to develop super humans abilities, or as they call them today, quirks, some of them aren't useful for combat but others are perfect to fight, and even could be on par of some ninjas."
"If thats true, then why would i need to go there ?"
"It's simple, while these quirks are strong, none of them can match a chakra user, especially if said chakra user is experienced." Kurama can see where the sage is going.
"And against a Tailed Beast it would be impossible, right ?" Hagoromo nods.
Kurama sighs "Can't you send me back to Naruto body and when the Otsutsuki threat ends then i could go there?" he asks hopefully, but that hope dies when Hagoromo shakes his head.
"I'm sorry Kurama, i only have the power to send your soul to that world, reviving you completely and sending you to Naruto body would take far more power than i have." Kurama sighs.
"Then how would it work, who would be my jinchuriki ?" Hagoromo smiles and projects a image of a green haired kid, maybe 9 or 10 years old.
Kurama scoffs "A kid, seriously ?" Hagoromo nods.
"His Name is Midoriya Izuku, he was born without one of those quirks, but believe on me when i say he is the best choice." Kurama was even more surprised.
"Why him thought ? i don't care about the fact he doesn't have one of those quirks since my chakra would be enough, but why a kid ?" Hagoromo smiles.
"Because of something i almost forgot to explain, in this world, instead of having ninjas, there are heroes, they are paid to save others and stop villains, but while some heroes deserves to be called hero, a lot of other heroes only cares about power, fame or money." Kurama nods, he already knows that the world isn't black or white and it doesn't surprises him that these 'heroes', aren't so perfect as they seems to be.
"But this kid, despite being quirkless wants to be a hero, and after watching him, i can see that he has a heart of gold, he would be a great hero if he had a quirk." Kurama can see where this is going.
"And by giving him chakra he could achieve his dream." Hagoromo nods.
Kurama scowls "But what about the otstsukis, me and Naruto got beated by Isshiki, even when the uchiha brat was there, Momoshiki is inside Naruto son body and will slowly possess his body until he controls it completely, and i needed to give my life to beat Isshiki, and remember, he was far from his prime !" Kurama roars.
Hagoromo nods sadly, not being affected by Kurama anger "I know Kurama, and believe me i want to help them, but i can't do anything, i did all i could when i helped them against Madara and my mother, i'm sorry." Kurama could see that the sage is saying the truth, but doesn't make it less frustrating.
Kurama sighs in defeat "Do i need to know anything else about this kid ?"
Hagoromo shakes his head "Nothing that you won't find out if you choose to go there."
"I guess it will be better than accepting death but i'm curious, why did you took so long to warn us about that Tailed beast ?"
"Because i thought it would disappear, it doesn't have a physical body and chakra doesn't exist there, so i thought it would die due to not having chakra, but after the war i decided to check it and felt that same chakra." Kurama sighs.
"Ok, i accept to go, but if there is a way to help Naruto, can you promise to try ?" Kurama says, he would never admit, but he will miss the Blond haired idiot.
Hagoromo nods "I promise, good bye and good luck Kurama." Thats the last thing Kurama hears before everything goes black.
Midoriya goes back to home after making sure his mother couldn't see his burn scars.
Kacchan was very angry after he tried to 'play hero' as he says everytime he jumps and takes the beating instead of someone else.
Luckily, his mother isn't home, Izuku sees a note on the fridge and the food covered in the table and knows his mother will be coming late today.
Not feeling hungry, Izuku goes to the bathroom to treat his burn marks, he takes the medkit and takes his shirt off, but he was surprised when some of them disappeared, he was sure there was more than that.
'Maybe i was just seeing things.' Izuku thinks to himself before treating the rest of the burns.
Izuku checks the hero news, always getting excited about seeing the heroes in action, but nothing can get close to seeing something about his favorite hero.
"NOTHING TO FEAR, BECAUSE I AM HERE HAHAHA !" All Might, the No.1 hero, never fails to bring an smile to Izuku face and make his eyes have stars.
While a part of him couldn't help but feel sad that he doesn't have a quirk, he won't give up on being a hero, not all of them have quirks made for combat like Mandalay and Ragdoll from the Wild Wild Pussycats or Eraserhead, even though he can erase quirks, it doesn't work on mutant types and he always fight quirkless so he knows that it is possible.
But since he came home, he is starting to feel strange, like something that he never knew he missed finally appeared, he feels a little stronger but dismiss that feeling, he is sure his body is playing tricks with him, he knows that he will never have a quirk.
He is glad his mother isn't home to not see his tears falling from his eyes.
After heating the food his mom made and eating, he decided to sleep a bit soon, he was feeling tired today, far more tired than the normal, maybe he should talk with his mother tomorrow to see if he is sick.
It didn't take too long for the sleep embrace him and when he woke up again, he didn't expected to wake up in a florest, he would be scared if wasn't the fact that the air is so pure and the place feels so safe.
Looking around he could see so much life around this place, despite the fact that he couldn't see any animal around.
But before he could walk around, he hears a voice that makes him stop on his track "Well, at least this place is better than a sewer."
When Kurama opened his eyes he felt a lot better than before, and not to mention how the air was pure, looking around he meets a lot of trees and a river over there.
"Well, at least this place is better than a sewer." He says to himself, and before he could stretch his legs, he sees someone there that has green hair, if he has to guess that is the Midoriya Izuku that Hagoromo told him.
The kid turned around and he had wide eyes when his eyes landed on Kurama, who looked at the kid with a neutral expression.
"So, want to say something?" While Hagoromo said that this kid was a good choice, he doesn't know anything about him, he expected the kid to get scared, curse him or try to run away, but he was a little surprised when he didn't do any of those.
"U-um, i'm sorry but... who are you ?" The kid says, a bit scared, Kurama can understand that, no chakra and no quirk and then he meets a gigant fox with nine tails.
He thinks a little if he should tell the kid his name but decides to wait until the kid gets his respect.
"You can call me Kyuubi, you could say that i am here to help you." The kid eyes light up at that, something Kurama didn't expected.
"Wait, so you are my quirk?!" Kurama resists the urge to growl, reminding himself that chakra doesn't exist on this world.
"Yeah, something like that." Kurama decided to wait to explain the situation to the kid, and the beaming smile he received was on par with Naruto, and that makes him feel a little sad when remembering his previous partner.
"Thats so cool ! i wonder what we could do ! can you shrink your height ? Can you use some sort of power ? How strong are you ? Can you-" And thats the moment Kurama doesn't understand anything since the boy was asking questions so fast that he couldn't even follow, which was starting to get annoying.
"Hey kid, i can't understand anything that you are saying !" Kurama yells, making the kid flinch.
"S-sorry, i just... i was so excited, i never expected to have a quirk !" Kurama sighs, this may be a bit more harder than he expected.
"S-so uh, what can we do ?" Izuku asks, timidly.
"Well, did you feel anything different since you arrived home ? Healing fast or something unlock inside of you ?" Izuku puts a hand on his chin, some of Kacchan burns disappear, he was sure that he was seeing things but was it Kyuubi that did that ? And after that he felt like something inside him awakened, like something he never knew he had but always missed.
"Wait, was it you that healed me ?" Kurama nods, glad that he got the Jinchuuriki healing.
"Yes, i can heal a few bruises you receive but don't go around getting hurt, i can't heal fatal wounds or regen a limb if you lose it." Izuku gulps at the thought of losing a limb.
"A-and after that i felt like something had changed, like something i never know i missed just appeared, was it you ?" Kurama nods.
"That was because you awakened something called chakra, with that you can mold it to do a lot of things like running on the water, shooting fire from your mouth and other things." Izuku had wide eyes, already thinking on ways that he could use this 'chakra'.
Kurama was thinking on a few jutsus that could be useful, but he needs to learn the basic first before anything.
"But it won't be easy to train it, first you should learn the basics, then later i will teach you a few ways to use the chakra." Izuku nods, determined to learn.
Kurama could already see a few differences the kid had from Naruto, but Kurama can see the same drive that Naruto had, this kid would never give up on being these so-called hero.
Kurama smirks, a little nostalgic at that determination "It wont be easy, you better give your best." Thats the last thing he hears before waking up.
When Izuku opens his eyes again, he realizes that he was in his bedroom again, he already feels the tears on his eyes.
'I knew it, there was no way a stupid deku like me would have a quirk, it was too good to be true.'
"...Kid, it wasn't a dream." Izuku almost jumps at the familiar voice on his head.
"Kyuubi ! then it was true, i finally have a quirk !" If Izuku could see Kurama then he would see the fox scowls at being called that.
"Yes, and as i said to you, we will start by the basic, after your school we will start by controling your chakra." Kurama says, going direct to the point.
Izuku was taken by surprised by Kurama bluntless, but he is right, he needs to start training to UA.
Izuku gets ready to the school with a big smile on his face, he finally has a quirk and not only that but he also got a partner.
