Rose PoV
I woke up to Anis kicking her little legs. She had asked to sleep with us after she had a little nightmare involving Pingui getting eaten by a candy monster. I couldn't help but chuckle. She had such a wild imagination.
As I lay there, I watched my four-year-old daughter, her tiny face scrunched up in concentration as she dreamt. Her brow furrowed, and her little fists clenched, as if she were in the middle of an exciting adventure. I could almost picture her racing through a world of candy creatures, her plush penguin clutched tightly in her arms.
Just then, I heard Saffron stirring beside me. He blinked sleepily before turning to look at Anis. A smile spread across his face, and he propped himself up on his elbow. "It looks like she's racing in her dreams," he said softly, his voice still thick with sleep.
