In the distant ocean, the waters began to stir violently as endless streams of seawater gathered into a massive whirlpool. Emerging from this vortex was a colossal serpentine creature. It had blue-green scales, massive horns on its head, and elegant fins adorning its body. Beneath it, four sturdy claws stretched out.
As this giant beast appeared, the entire sea seemed to come alive, as if the ocean itself had awakened from a deep slumber, or as if the true ruler of the sea had finally returned.
A sharp cry echoed across the ocean as the beast stretched its true form, and the entire seafloor began to tremble in response, as if the ocean was acknowledging and responding to the beast's call.
With its roar, all creatures within the sea instinctively bowed in submission, while some of the elite beings swam toward the giant beast, driven by the urge to follow it.
"Why can't they control themselves? I hate war," the massive blue-green beast muttered softly, stirring the ocean currents and causing great waves. Strangely, despite the enormous waves it created, not a single creature in the ocean was harmed. It was as if the water itself possessed life and consciousness, flowing gently without causing any destruction.
…
In the Titan lands, a vast mountain range began to shake. Massive boulders tumbled down as the mountains slowly lifted. A crack appeared in the ground, forming a circular fissure that gradually expanded into an oval ring. Within this ring, a mountain ridge began to rise.
When the ridge reached a certain height, an enormous head slowly emerged. Then a giant turtle claw lifted, pressing against the ground as it took a step.
Just as the Earth Sovereign Turtle raised its second claw, space trembled violently, and a pair of golden eyes appeared in the sky above the slowly moving mountain.
"Rest easy! There's no need for you to worry about what's happening. We will take care of all the damage," a voice said.
The Earth Sovereign Turtle, who had responded to the summons and was preparing to move, raised its head and stared silently at the golden eyes above. The claw it had raised slowly lowered, and its massive body, which had only moved half a step, withdrew back into the basin it had emerged from. Its head retracted, and its eyes closed once more.
Since it was a matter involving the Titans, there was no need for it to be concerned. After all, going wouldn't make a difference anyway.
…
"The World-Suppressing Beasts are on the move. That was fast!"
"Wasn't that expected? But these creatures have nothing to do with Muria; it's just that some impatient beings couldn't wait."
"It looks like we need to control the intensity of this war. If we wake up too many of those ancient creatures from the primordial era, it will be troublesome. I don't want to fight them; it's pointless."
"Neither do I. Let's inform Muria to scale things back a bit, and we should warn those others not to go overboard. If they do, we'll deal with them ourselves outside the world."
…
In the coastal region of the Senaps Subcontinent:
"Can you feel it? Half-breed, you've stirred up a massive problem," the demon god's avatar, now over a hundred meters tall but still pinned under Muria's foot, sneered. Although his strength had swelled to this degree, Muria continued to pummel him.
"What massive problem?" Muria kicked the demon god's avatar high into the air, and before he could react, Muria swung his Seven Sins Blade, severing the demon's legs.
"Ugh!" The avatar of the Fear Demon God let out a painful groan. He had lost count of how many times this half-blood had chopped off his limbs with that sword.
The Fear Demon God looked down at the ground. All around were severed claws, wings, and horns—body parts that Muria had sliced off. Yet, each time a limb was severed, it would regenerate quickly.
Suddenly, a sharp screech pierced the sky. Muria, recognizing the familiar sound, turned his head to see a giant eagle with long tail feathers spreading its snow-white wings and flying toward him, surrounded by a storm.
"Child of Titan and Dragon, your end has come. Let's see how you defend yourself this time," the demon god's avatar said with a grin.
"Hmm?" Hearing the demon's words, Muria quickly understood what was happening. But to his surprise, the Wind King Eagle, who had made an agreement with him, circled above him before diving down. Its talons, hard as diamond, latched onto the demon god's avatar.
"What...!?" The Fear Demon God was dumbfounded. Before he could react, his body was torn in two by the eagle's powerful claws. His filthy blood rained from the sky, sizzling as it hit the ground.
The Fear Demon God, now only half a body, waited, expecting the Wind King Eagle to attack Muria. But after waiting for a while, he saw no signs of hostility toward Muria. Growing anxious, he shouted, "What are you waiting for? Why aren't you attacking him?"
The Wind King Eagle let out a disdainful screech and immediately tore off the demon god's head, clearly uninterested in conversing with a being tainted by abyssal power.
"Why aren't you attacking him? I haven't caused any destruction to this world! This entire area was wrecked by that Titan! Why aren't you hitting him?" the remaining remnants of the Fear Demon God's avatar roared in frustration, pinned under the eagle's claws.
"Idiot!" Muria scoffed, looking down at the demon with a gaze reserved for fools.
"Pop!" A sound like a watermelon bursting echoed as the Wind King Eagle crushed the demon god's head. The filthy remains splattered everywhere, but before they could hit the ground, they were swept up by the winds around the eagle and disintegrated, purged entirely.
"Why are you awake?" Muria asked, watching the Wind King Eagle swiftly eliminate the demon god's avatar. He was somewhat surprised, knowing that the descendants of World-Suppressing Beasts like the Wind King Eagle possessed power on par with gods and couldn't be treated as mere legends.
Despite numerous attempts, Muria had only managed to sever some of the demon's limbs, without striking a decisive blow. Over time, the demon god's avatar had grown stronger, and the fight would have become more difficult for Muria to win. Yet the Wind King Eagle had awakened suddenly and dealt with the avatar in mere moments.
"You should ask yourself that. What were you doing? I was sleeping peacefully when I suddenly felt that a part of the world was about to be destroyed by a war, so I woke up to stop it."
"Is that your prophetic ability?" Muria asked, a bit surprised. He had first encountered the Wind King Eagle because it had sensed the world merging with layers of the Abyss.
The Wind King Eagle, in an effort to prevent the coming demonic tide, had traveled to the Kingdom of Lokman, where it had crossed paths with Muria. Though there was no direct evidence, Muria believed the eagle possessed some form of prophetic ability, allowing it to foresee potential catastrophes and intervene preemptively.
"I'm planning to wage a cleansing war across the Senaps Subcontinent," Muria explained, briefly outlining his intent to the Wind King Eagle.
"I've already sought my grandfather's approval for this war. There won't be any forces beyond our world's limits involved," Muria reassured the eagle, showing that he understood the unwritten rules of the world.
In this world, the power limit was set at the peak of legend. Although Epic-level beings could wield power beyond this limit, they were advised not to do so unless absolutely necessary, as it could attract the world's hostility and summon the World-Suppressing Beasts to intervene.
In addition to this restriction, even if one used peak legendary power, it was best not to involve too many beings of that level. Doing so could cause irreversible damage to parts of the world, requiring significant time and resources to repair.
"You really know how to cause trouble. This war has only just begun, and you've already stirred me awake. And I can sense you've awakened more than just me; a few others are coming too."
"Will they try to stop my war?" Muria's face grew serious at the thought of more World-Suppressing Beasts approaching.
The strength of these beasts was undeniable. Even the battle-hungry Titans preferred not to fight them, mainly due to the beasts' troublesome nature. Anyone who harmed them would be cursed with misfortune.
"No, we won't interfere with worldly wars. As long as the intensity of the conflict remains controlled, and the scale of the destruction stays within limits, we won't take action. Just ensure the world isn't irreparably damaged," the eagle reassured.
