Nan Jiaojiao took Bo Yanching back to her place, insisting on climbing a tree to pick crabapple flowers along the way.
He hadn't even hesitated; his palm was suddenly empty, and he felt something was amiss. By the time he looked over, Nan Jiaojiao had already let go of his hand and was climbing up the tree. He couldn't grab her even if he tried.
He could only stand helplessly under the tree, ready to catch her at a moment's notice if she were to fall.
Thankfully, Nan Jiaojiao only picked a handful, quickly climbed down, and with her back still facing him, Bo Yanching already caught her. Her legs swung briefly as she landed from his arms, casually pulling a bunch of long grass from the ground to tie the branches of crabapple flowers.
"For you!"
Bo Yanching didn't take them, raising an eyebrow and gesturing behind her.
Nan Jiaojiao turned around to see two gardeners standing there, looking at her in shock.
"What happened?"
