Chapter 161 - Rusceah Scenery 1

Rusceah is one of the biggest cities in the continent. Subsequently, it also has an absurdly high population. You can see that in the large crowd of diversed races walking around the largest roads of the city.

For the first time in a while, I saw a fellow elf like me. He nodded at my direction as a sign of acknowledgement. I also saw a thick but short dwarf, who immediately scowled at me in disgust.

"Amazing, Eria! So this is what a city is like?"

"Well, since it's the capital, it's kind of special. It's a lot bigger than most cities."

"I see..."

We've yet to reach the guild, so we're still driving on the road. Now that we've entered deep in the city, we're not able to see its elevated view anymore. Although it's not exactly difficult to navigate our path, so I doubt we will struggle to find what we were looking for.

"By the way, is it just me or is there some kind of festival going on right now?"

"Now that you mention it..."

There are a number of colorful flyers and other decorations on the buildings all around us. They're the kinds you would see in a festival. Not to mention, there were even signs of leftover confetti on the roads.

"Well, I heard about it from Chester..." I explained.

Apparently, a new hero has been introduced in the capital. After the previous one died from the injuries he retained from fighting the Dark army, the church immediately received an Oracle from the goddess of a new hero who would replace him. That new hero is now living in the castle with the King's family.

Until he finds the rest of his comrades, that is to say, another newly assigned saint and sage, he's going to remain in the capital.

"The hero, huh?"

"I heard he's handsome."

"I heard he defeated the Dark army forces who invaded the capital on his own just like Eria..."

The trio gossip. Meanwhile, Log was remaining quiet. He's only paying attention on the food stalls on the side of the road.

Soon, we're able to find the Rusceah guild branch. As expected, it's a lot bigger than the one in Root. It also has an updated and modern appearance.

"Well then..." I said as I lead the way inside.

What greeted us inside the guild were a bunch of high-level adventurers. Completely different from the rough and gruff adventurers of Root, they were all wearing high-quality weapon and armour. All of them look clean and presentable as well. They're not at all the kind you would imagine in a dark fantasy novel, but they're certainly fit to appear in any role-playing games.

Among them were the typical heavy armored knights, the spear-wielding hotties, and the sexy milf mages. Oh, and of course, there were the Amazonians who were confidently showing off their bikini armour. Nevertheless, despite some of their appearance, all of them were most likely strong.

If my guess is right, the average rank of the adventurers in front us now would be around D. While it's not that high, there were enough of them who were high-ranking enough to warrant praise from me. Like the one party dangerously eyeing me right now...

"Gulp..."

Suddenly, I can hear some loud swallowing from the trio behind me.

Like me, they must be feeling out of place.
