The guild had apparently already recommended an inn for Kai's party to stay at. Now that they've gotten their reward, they'll look for it so they can rest. I asked if Log and I can stay with them in the same inn, but they simply laughed. They pointed out how such a cheap inn won't fit me at all. I wanted to refute them, but I was immediately stopped by Log, who cornered me further by intensely agreeing with them.
I had no choice but to look for another place...
After asking some locals for help, Log and I were able to find another decent inn. The Comfort Moon Inn—true to its name, it looks cozy and laid back. While it's not on the level of Root's most expensive inn, it's still decent in its own right. Obviously, it's also a lot cheaper.
To celebrate our arrival in the city, Log and I had a feast.
Come to think of it, Kai and the others were also planning on celebrating their rank-up. I evaluated them highly, so the guild quickly promoted them. Close to the average adventurer rank in Rusceah, they're now Rank E. Apparently, they're now one of the fastests parties to achieve that rank.
So that's why they were in a rush?
"Mrmm..." I whined.
They totally didn't invite me...
It turned dark before I knew it. Night came.
"It's my first night in another city, huh?"
From the window of our inn room, I looked at the busy streets outside. The scenery wasn't as different as it was in the day. No, it's actually much prettier now, with all the magical lights of the light posts and shop lanterns.
"Sigh... I don't feel tired at all..."
Despite travelling for such a long time, I mysteriously don't feel tired at all. Although Log sure seems like he was, as he's now dead asleep on the bed. His snoring now echoes in the room.
"Is it because I'm excited? It's been a while since I've been in a city after all," I wonder.
Not waiting for an answer, I decided to step outside and tour the city on my own.
Since it's night time, I doubt I will be able to memorize my path at all. Still, I actually only wanted to walk, so there's no reason for me to memorize anything yet. I'll do that tomorrow with Log, and possibly with Kai's party.
Maybe I'll also start looking for Fin? I can easily find him since he's still in the Magic Academy. Chester would be there too, but I'll just ignore him.
After that... Well, I'll have an entire bucket list of things to do. Rusceah is a big city, so I'm sure I'll be able to entertain myself for a while. First of, I should prioritize any naughty acts I can think of...
