And there in Tokyo, the villagers used to gather in the valley during the rice harvest season, where great celebrations were held.
Maid Singh, Amini, and the guards were walking around the place when suddenly they heard people screaming:
"A mermaid is coming toward us, and a huge wave is behind her!"
People rushed out of the valley, afraid of drowning.
When the mermaid approached, the people saw the king with her and cried out:
"The king has returned! Yesterday we stood at his grave!"
Before reaching the edge of the valley, the mermaid asked the captain of the waves to lift her mother and father and place them safely on the shore.
Suddenly, the mermaid, the king, and the pilot vanished into the storming waves, drawn into the vortex of time. She held on to her sister's whirlpool and the pilot's, and together the two whirlpools floated above the waves, watching the arrival of the mother.
When the father and mother finally set foot on land, the people lifted them high, saying:
"Let us take the king and his wife to the palace!"
Everyone left the valley, except for the maid and the girl Amini, who stood stunned by what had just happened.
Then, before them, the vortex of time opened once again and threw out the two girls, the pilot, and the king.
Everyone rose to their feet. Amini saw her sisters Kasha and Akemi before her and cried:
"I can't believe this… my sisters are alive!"
She embraced them, weeping, and said:
"My sisters, I missed you so much. I always looked up at the sky and asked when the clouds would return, and when the sun would shine again.
My sister Kasha, you are the cloud… and my sister Akemi, you are the sun. Tell me, did the sun of that world ever rise?"
Akemi replied:
"It is a world of difficult times. There is no trust between people or nations. Love is fading away. People watch one another as if their hands are tied. Climate change grows worse, with fires and hurricanes spreading. I don't know where it is all leading."
Then came the hidden voices, gentle but clear, calling to her with a message for the pilots:
"Do not bring destruction upon the earth. Learn from the disasters of the past. There are voices that have disappeared, crying out: 'We are human beings like you. We only wish to enjoy life.'"
