And in the middle of the sea, the whirlpool window opened. The scattered clouds were waiting for the sun to rise, so I smiled at them and shot an arrow downward. The horse-cloud was running swiftly.
The mermaid Akemi was carrying her parents on her back. The pilot Shino rode with them, and behind her the mermaids, the fishes, and the captain of the waves sang in unison, while the mist of the waters of peace splashed gently over the passengers.
When the girl Kasha saw that scene—her sister transformed into a mermaid, carrying their father and mother—she wept bitterly, saluting them as she cried:
"Mother, you don't know who you are riding upon. Look at the sky, Mother, at that picture my sister used to draw every day and review at college. Look, Mother—the horse-cloud is running!"
It was as if she were saying to everyone: "The black clouds have gone, the white clouds have returned and scattered across the sky. The sun will soon shine on the world. Mother, you are riding my sister's dream. Her knight is with her, and my knight is here with me. My sister is celebrating with her knight there in Tokyo. Thank you, my sister. This is the greatest gift you have ever given me in my life. We shall meet again in the valley."
