As the two bodies finally became one. The parasite and the Charged Beast unknowingly decided to test out and see how the body truly works.
In the distance, the Shadow Realm was open for destruction because of the parasite and how it was treated. It did not want revenge because of how it was treated.
It wanted revenge because it could not have been designed better and allowed to be used until now.
It started with the buildings surrounding the facility. Shadow Realm warriors and soldiers tried to take down the beast. It was for naught.
A simple paw strike, headbutt, or even poise with a fancy tail strike did too much to the Shadow People.
It boosted an even higher confidence because these were the highly trained people. It could imagine itself standing on top of thousands, no scratch that millions of bodies and no one able to scratch it.
The Shadow People were not killed but emergency signals had already been sent. This was just the beginning. Not only did the Shadow King here get the emergency signal, in the Realms as well, also every captain level if not higher had also gotten the signal, and they began to spread the news. The last two to actually hear about it was Rex and the beast with him.
The truce now was an even bigger advantage. Having this beast put their side on an even playing field plus the ability to switch in and out of combat at a notice would disorient the upgraded beast.
As of right now, that beast did not want anyone to die. That was for two reasons. First, it wanted them to die being crushed. What better way than crushing them than with them already beaten and the building comes down on them.
Second, it had to get used to the new body. As its stands, it knew that just happily heading back in was suicide. It did not have perfect control of the body yet.
This just allowed him to test and perfect the body. What the beast did not know was that the assassins of the Shadow Realm were helping the warriors and soldiers leave the building secretly.
They started quickly from where the beast started and got close enough to try and slit its throat. That was not their mission and something they did not want to try.
Once the beast went a little further up so it would not notice their work. They quickly retrieved all of the bodies. Once the beast had finally went through the building. It began to walk back smug.
It was going to see all of the destruction it had left behind and the know the chaos of when the building would come down on the people.
Once it turned a corner and no bodies were around. This made it wonder if there was a place where it had missed.
It checked floor by floor ensuring that every door was open and no place left unchecked. At the very bottom of the building both the parasite and the beast knew that someone had triggered an emergency signal. To the parasite, it was fine because they were going to have their fun in the Realms anyways.
To the Charged Beast, this was a disgrace to its honor. To have not only lost against those it was supposed to battle but now the Shadow Realm protecting those it fought against.
It decided to just bulldoze through the civilian houses. There was no chance that they have enough resources to save those people.
The Charged Beast did not realize was that the assassins thought the same. They began to evacuate the civilian population into sturdy houses.
What looked like bear traps was placed randomly. The assassins did not want it to appear like they were trying to actually slow the beast down while ensuring at least one or two actually triggered.
The first trap triggered and the Charged Beast flexed on the trap hard and broke the trap. It did not slow it down any just ensured that it would destroy the civilian population because of its former anger.
The areas that looked the same the Charged Beast avoided. However, a plain looking area had a trap with it as well and it hit the rear right hind foot.
The Charged Beast now unsure of where to step because of the trap triggering now. It growled and laid low to allow the parasite to see where possible traps could be.
When the Charged Beast followed the path laid out by the parasite. It did not trigger any traps but it did send him off course of the direction he wanted to go in.
This way was fine as well. There were Shadow People who could die in that direction. That direction was where the assassins had already evacuated everyone.
They were moving the people in the direction of the original direction of the Shadow Beast once the two traps had been triggered.
