I was following the monster in complete stealth mode, observing it closely. The monster was walking slowly, leisurely. It appeared that it wasn't in any rush to go anywhere. It was just walking there and doing whatever it wants to do.
I realized that it wasn't going anywhere, and yet it looked like it wanted to go somewhere. The monster seemed to be heading in a certain direction, but it was nowhere near me.
I prepared myself to attack the moment I saw an opening. After all, I was just following it to learn more about it. I just needed to use this opportunity to take advantage of the situation and defeat it.
I waited patiently for my chance, and I finally saw my chance. When I saw the monster stop suddenly, I was ready to strike.
"Brave hea-" I began to say, but stopped immediately, when I suddenly sensed something else. I stopped immediately when I felt the presence of another creature. I turned around and looked behind me, and I saw a giant figure lurking around in the darkness.
"Another one!?" I almost screamed out loud but I bit my tongue in order to prevent myself from screaming. I stood there paralyzed, staring at the giant monster behind me. It looked to be even bigger than the one I was following.
I could sense that it was approaching me from behind. I knew that I had no other choice, I had to face it head on. I thought to myself. I'm fighting against these monsters again. I really need to get stronger, I told myself. I knew that it's not guaranteed I would win this fight, but I had to try because it was either that or just give up, and accept my death.
I began to slowly turned around, preparing myself for the battle. I was ready for the fight. I raised my hands up, readying myself to unleash a powerful blow upon its gigantic body.
"Huh...?" I paused for a moment, confused about what I just witnessed.
The monster walked right past me, without even noticing that I was there. The monster just kept walking straight ahead, without even giving me a second glance.
"It didn't notice me?" I exclaimed.
─Stealth has reached level 2
"That was unexpected" I thought to myself. I was really surprised by this turn of events. I watched the monster walk straight ahead, completely oblivious of my existence.
"Isn't that direction..." I muttered under my breath.
The giant monster that suddenly appeared, walked past me and now heading toward the monster that I was following.
"Raarghh!!" It roared as it charged at the monster without giving it any chance to react. It hit the monster hard, sending it flying into the wall.
The monster landed on its back, and it remained motionless for a moment. Then it stood up slowly and began to shake violently, as if it was suffering from a seizure before letting out a roar of pain. "Raargh!" It let out another roar, and it started running towards the giant monster.
I looked at the monster with fascination. Even though it was injured, it was still moving forward, chasing after the monster that attacked it.
"That's... amazing..." I said to myself, astonished.
I couldn't help but stare at them for a while longer, watching their battle unfold. I didn't want to miss a thing. I wanted to witness everything that happened, and it's not like I had anything else to do anyway.
The giant monster closed in on the smaller monster, and it lunged at it. The small monster dodged the charge, and swung its arm at the giant monster.
It missed.
The giant monster quickly moved aside, and it avoided the attack. It grabbed the smaller monster by the neck and threw it against the wall. It slammed its foot down onto the small monster, crushing its body.
The small monster let out a scream of agony, unable to escape from the giant monster's grasp. It struggled against the giant monster, but it was useless. The giant monster was stronger. The giant monster lowered its head, and opened its mouth wide, revealing rows of sharp teeth.
"So this is the battle of survival." I mumbled to myself. "The stronger one will survive, and the weaker one will die."
If that's so then, I have to be strong, I thought to myself. I was determined to be the stronger one. I am willing to put all my effort into becoming stronger. I stared at the giant monster with determination, thinking of ways to defeat it.
─Brave Heart activated
A familiar burst of energy washed over me, a quick glanced at my status showed that my physical stats has increased. Apparently, {Brave Heart} has cooldown before I could activate it again to use it's stack affect. So I had to wait for a while, before I could use it again.
The giant monster opened its mouth wider, and it began to bite at the small monster's neck. The small monster tried to escape, but it was futile. The giant monster was much stronger than it.
"The giant monster must have weakened, this is my chance while it's still distracted" I whispered to myself. I had to act fast, or else I might not get this chance ever again.
"Okay, here goes nothing," I whispered to myself.
I slowly make my way behind the giant monster. I quietly crept behind it, until I was close enough to strike. Then I began to move forward, trying to take advantage of the distraction that the giant monster caused.
The giant monster was busy feeding on the small monster, and I took this opportunity to strike. I raised my hands up, preparing myself to unleash a powerful blow.
I unleashed a heavy punch, aimed straight at the giant monster's head. My blow connected, striking the monster's head onto the small monster's. I felt like I heard a satisfying crunching sound as my fist made contact with it's head.
The giant monster let out a roar of pain and surprise. Its eyes widened in shock, as it attempted to look around and find the source of the it's attacker.
