Chapter 10 - Disturbed

I decided to take a break, since I did just killed two monsters already. I sat down on the floor and leaned against the wall.

I was sitting there for a while, staring blankly at the nothing, thinking about my next plan of action. I needed to level-up fast, because I don't know what's going to happen to me.

"Hm... Should I go hunt for more monsters?" I asked myself. I looked at the giant monster, lying lifelessly on the ground.

My mouth started to water, as I felt the hunger once again. I wanted to eat something good. Something that will satisfy me. I could smell the blood flowing through my nose, making my mouth water. I found this very hard to resist.

I stood up and walked towards the giant monster. "Heheh, looks like someone is hungry..." I smirked to myself. "All I need to do is kill them all, then I can feast." I said to myself, getting a little crazy.

I approached the giant monster and I began to sniff it's body. "Yummy!" I moaned, as I licked my lips.

It was obvious that I was starving. My hunger was rising rapidly, making my craving grow stronger. I focused on the giant monster, devouring its flesh with eagerness.

I tore off chunks of meat, and threw them into my mouth. I ate and ate, until I was full. I gulped down the rest of the it's blood, licking my lips as I drank it.

"Mmm... That tastes good..." I purred to myself, savoring every last drop of blood.

Wait a second, since when blood tasted good? I thought to myself. I felt a sudden surge of curiosity, and I wanted to know why blood tastes good. Maybe because I'm a demon now?

"Who cares?" I said as I continued to lick the blood off my fingers.

It was a long day, and I was exhausted. I didn't have anything else to do, so I decided to just lay down on the cold floor, and closed my eyes. It's probably not a good idea to do this where there might be another monster wandering around nearby but who knows when will I be able to rest again but I couldn't care less.

I laid there for awhile, until I felt exhaustion overtake me. My eyelids grew heavy, and I felt my consciousness begin to slip away. Then I felt a sudden jolt, snapping me awake, and my senses immediately went on alert. Something was wrong, something was terribly wrong.

There was no other reason that would cause such a reaction from me. I sat up from the cold ground, and began to scan my surroundings for the source of danger. I immediately detected a presence nearby that seemed to be approaching me. I slowly stood up from the ground, prepared to fight against whatever it was that is coming for me.

"Seriously, can't you let me have my rest in peace?" I muttered to myself.
