Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Was I Blind to Fall for Him?

Polly Sutton directly packed her sketchbook, "Wait for the police to determine, right? Fine, I'll wait for you to call the police. At the same time, prepare yourselves to be sued for false accusations."

After saying that, Polly Sutton took her bag and left directly.

The board members looked at each other in disbelief. Were they just scolded by a young girl?

And scolded to the point where they couldn't even retaliate?

After Polly Sutton left, Victor Parker sneered, "Then report it to the police. The Parker Corporation has encountered such a significant issue, not calling the police wouldn't be able to explain it to the board members. Monitor everyone who went to the model room today. If we're going to investigate, leave no one unchecked."

"Victor Parker!" Mr. Parker shouted angrily, but Victor had already turned around and left.

Downstairs, Polly was still kicking the wild grass in the flower bed, angrily placing her hands on her hips as she talked on the phone with her senior sister.

"I leaked their family secret? Their design has been around for hundreds of years. The only valuable thing is the winding and flowing water, and they can't even bear to show it off. Even if it was leaked, do they really think others would consider those things treasures?"

It drove her insane!

"Calm down, calm down."

"I said I wouldn't come, but you pushed me here as if selling your daughter. How's that working out now?"

"Who said selling daughters? This was to bring glory to the family." Mr. Walker chimed in over the phone.

Polly took a deep breath, "I'm turning into a thief, and you call this bringing glory? More like bringing glory to the police station!"

No, the more she thought about it, the angrier she got. She had never suffered such grievances.

Victor Parker caught up with her, and saw Polly standing near the flowerbed, jumping up and down in anger on the phone, occasionally kicking a wild grass strongly. It was evident that she was really furious.

Victor Parker slowed his pace, and even standing behind her, he could imagine her furious expression right now. This thought put him in a better mood.

"Go and pack up everything Third Uncle has done in recent years and submit it. His actions have become increasingly unscrupulous."

Andrew Lindsey hurried off to handle it, aware that the CEO was making a move against the Parkers.

"Does Victor really believe it was you?" Emma Turner asked curiously.

"Senior sister, are you focused on the wrong point?" Couldn't she hear how angry she was now? Senior sister was really too much!

"Of course I'm focused. Think about it, who is in charge of the Parker Corporation now?"

Polly thought carefully and realized it was Victor in charge. Even with a regent, he was still the one on the throne. "He didn't say it was me."

"See, I knew it!" It's like she hit the nail on the head!

"Knew what?"

"You and Victor..." Emma Turner said with a gleaming smile, her gossipy enthusiasm practically reaching City A through the signal.

"Me and Victor? What, did you fill your head with too much wood? How blind would I have to be to find Victor attractive?"

Behind her, Victor's face changed suddenly, and he turned around and left.

"Then why did you just scold the company's employees? Weren't they giving Victor a hard time? Not you?" Polly had just rattled off the entire situation.

"I, I just..." Polly was at a loss for words. She just couldn't stand those old men pointing fingers at Victor. When the old lady was alive, she treated Victor like a treasure. What gave them the right to point fingers at him?

Besides, Victor helped her just now, too. They were just helping each other. Yes, that was it.

"With such a temper, why not go and scold Victor." Emma Turner suggested.

"I..." Polly hesitated for a moment, then her anger dissipated, "Could I really dare to?"

On his drive back, Victor instructed Andrew to prepare a divorce agreement as soon as possible.

Andrew, who was busy working: "..." It just came so suddenly.

Polly returned home full of anger, but as she reached the door, she took a deep breath to suppress her anger and carefully opened the door to enter.

Her mentor's wife was still awake, and as she saw Polly come in, she put down the remote and approached her, "Is everything alright? Did you eat?"

Her anger had filled her up.

"It's nothing, no need to worry. Are they asleep?"

"Tommy fussed about wanting to find you. After a bit, Benny managed to calm him down, and now both kids are asleep."

Thinking about her younger son, Polly thought it was absolutely impossible to see him fussing.

After chatting with her mentor's wife for a while, her mentor's wife went to rest, and Polly finally returned to her room.

Little Benny was sleeping neatly in place, while little Tommy sprawled out messily, his small hand draping across his brother's face, his little leg resting on his brother's belly, with his tiny body almost twisted like a pretzel.

Polly's bad mood completely dissipated, and she carefully hugged Tommy so he wouldn't press on his brother. As soon as she had moved Tommy, Benny quickly held his brother tightly in his arms, as if fearing someone would snatch him away.

Tommy smacked his small mouth and wrapped his arms around his brother, continuing to sleep, completely unaware.

Polly gently pinched Benny's cheek and let them be.

After freshening up, Polly returned and had just turned off the light to lie down when Benny's small, milky voice came over, "Mommy, are you unhappy today?"

The voice was soft, yet the tone was like that of an adult.

"No, how could Mommy be unhappy? Mommy's happy every day." Polly lay on her side, gently stroking her son's soft little face.

Little Benny frowned a bit, having overheard Grandma and Grandpa Walker's conversation on the phone earlier, he also knew what Mommy had been through.

"Be good, time to sleep." Polly softly patted Benny, closed her eyes to sleep. Ever since reuniting with Victor, not a day had gone smoothly.

The weather got increasingly hot, and it felt like you could melt walking outside.

Tommy, wearing a little yellow hat, squatted in the corner watching his brother, "Benny, what are we doing here?"

"Just wait," Benny said, holding his brother's hand, using a small fan with the other to blow on him, "Wait, and you'll do as I say, alright?"

"But why?" Tommy asked with his milk-sweet voice, genuinely clueless about what his brother had on his little mind, he just couldn't figure it out.

"Do you want Daddy or not?"

"But didn't Mommy say Daddy was catching aliens in space, fighting monsters in Japan, or mining coal in Africa?" Tommy counted on his little fingers, quite accurately.

Benny: "..."

What will happen when my brother grows up?

As Benny pondered, he spotted a car approaching, whispered some words into his brother's ear, and then pushed him outward.

Tommy suddenly found himself pushed out by his brother, blinked his big eyes innocently.

The security was initially making way for Victor but was startled to see a child appear out of nowhere, and hurriedly moved to usher Tommy away.

Tommy was frightened too but skillfully darted past the security and bumped directly into Victor's leg, then bounced and sat on the ground.

Dazed from the fall, Tommy looked up tearfully and locked eyes with Victor...
