As night approached near, the sun disappeared through the sky. The bright blue sky slowly turned with many bright stars covering it, and with the large moon at the center.
Looking up at the sky, Ryan stared up thewith a calm look. Seeing his calm face Riley questioned Ryan about it, but she did not get any respond from him. Ryan slightly turned his head sliding a short smile at her.
"I'm going now." Ryan murmured taking flow steps forward.
With a confused look Riley immediately questioned where he was off too. "Where are you going?!" Ryan tilted his face towards her side smirking. Riley frowned her eyebrows seeming to be puzzled by his weird expression.
"I have to go alert the cyclopes about the assassins. The assassins might try and go after them first." Ryan words left Riley astonished, she did not think about the cyclopes being attacked. She firmly nodded her head telling to go.
Ryan quickly dashed forward leaving behind gust of wind. He moved with such incredible speed running as if he was teleporting. Riley watched with amaze as he vanished from sight.
She turned her back walking back inside the house. She went and sat down on to the couch. She relaxed her back looking up towards the ceiling.
Watching her dull facial expression Lennox slightly approached her side. He asked, "What's wrong with you? I thought everything was going as you planned, then what's going through your mind now?"
Riley coldly shifted her gaze at Lennox, his body trembled from her cold look. "I know everything is going as planned but I still have this feeling," She murmured but paused middle way as if something was thinking on her mind. Lennox looked at her with a puzzled facial expression.
"What do you mean a bad feeling?" Lennox asked towards Riley. Riley snorted her expression feeling not to explain herself as she did not know the feeling she was sensing.
"It's enough I won't explain myself further! Get out of my face now!!" Riley yelled out towards Lennox. Lennox nodded his head walking back from her.
"I fought one of them and he almost killed me by being careless. Those assassins are sneaking and play dirty to win. I let down my guard thinking that they were stronger than me, but that was my great mistake," Riley said while muttering to herself. Lennox was hearing her every words but he was still distancing himself from her. "I don't think we should fight them separately. They might try to weaken us one by one until their strongest fighter arrive last to finish us fully."
"But I'm sure Ryan could handle them by himself. He has the strength to take on a hundred warriors," said Lennox.
"That's truth what you just said but he is not the only one who has that reputation. Many of assassins have the same reputation of killing a hundred warriors. You should not think his the only one with power to take many people, there are many people who have that title also," Riley stated with a firm tone. Lennox nodded his head realizing his mistake. He was depending on Ryan strength to handle things, due to him being the strongest adventurer in the world.
Lennox turned his face looking towards the side. He was feeling discussed with himself for depending on Ryan strength. He felt that becoming the chief had made him weak and soft. He was a half-cyclosps and he was depending on a human to handle his problems.
Lennox smiled looking towards the window, saying, "How weak I have become now to depend on others to handle things for me. Hah, how the mighty have fallen."
"It doesn't matter, don't beat yourself up with thinking that I also thought about it," said Riley.
"What do you mean!?" Lennox asked puzzled.
"I thought Ryan could handle this due to him being stronger than me. But now my thoughts changed after I encountered those two. If they worked together I might have not survive there!"
Riley replied explaining her encounter with Storm and Russ at Lennox. Hearing her words Lennox questioned the strength and power of the forces coming after them. He then widened his eyes realizing that Riley just admit Ryan was stronger than her.
"You said Ryan was stronger than you!" Lennox said yelling. Riley faintly nodded head.
Lennox was shocked by the discovery as he thought that the two were on the same level. He knew Ryan was strong but to be stronger than someone who makes the chief of the cyclopes shiver. Riley power and strength was not a small fry but she was strong enough to take down many of the cyclopes.
"Are you sure you did not scale him high due to the resist events?" asked Lennox. Riley shook her head, living him shocked.
"It scaled him when we clashed back at the cyclopes village. I was using my full speed at him but he easily dodge my attacks. The only time I court him was when he was not focusing," Riley stated. She knew for awhile that she stood no chance again Ryan, but she catch her cool not showing her weakness.
Suddenly, loud noses came from outside. Lennox immediately walked to open the door. His eyes were in shocked seeing the many rice fields burning up in flames.
"The rice fields are burning up in flames!" Lennox said yelling. Riley quickly stood up walking towards the door. Her eyes widened with shocked as also.
Lennox got out the door ready to go put out the flames. But Riley quickly grabbed Lennox arm halt his movement, saying he should reconsider going there. Lennox questioned his words as he wanted to go put out the flames.
"Did you think who did this first, the fields did not set themselves on fire. I am sure those assassins did this to split us up. Let us not rush first and wait a bit before going there." Riley calmed Lennox quick reaction, thinking that they should use their heads before doing something. She saw it as a great strategy to set the rice fields on fire to send them in different directions.
"I can wait any longer! The fields would be gone when we move!" Lennox shook off Riley hand from his arm. He immediately rushed off towards the west side. Riley sighed her face dashed off towards the north side.
Arriving at the rice fields Riley saw many people put off the flames. She wondered what type of flames could burn rice fields when they are already covered by water. She nodded her head thinking that the was someone who could use hellfire, but only demon-wolves had that power.
Riley saw the people pouring water but it was not working. She calmly closed her eyes as a purple covered her whole body, she began to release a wave of her aura. To her surprise the wave of aura she released put out the the flames in front of him.
Everyone faces were quite relieved to seeing some of the flames put off. They turned their back facing at Riley side questioning for her method of put out the flames. Riley simply shut them all down mentioning that they would be able to use her method of put out the flames. The people quickly realized the truth when she used her aura again to put of more of the flames.
Towards the western side of the village, Lennox was struggling to put out the flames. Water was not working in putting out the flames, he simply questioned what kind of flames were this?
Slamming his fist towards the ground, Lennox felt hopeless not able to put out the flames. He thought about transforming into his giant, but he was going to scare the people. As he looked at his own reflection towards the water a feeling of disappointment stroke him.
