Towards the eastern outskirts of the island, a loud voice was shouting through the forest. A tall dark hair and brown eyes figure sat next to Russ unconscious body. The figure shouted at Storm questioning him about the harm coursed to his young brother.
The enraged figure name was Ross, who was a the older brother of Russ. Ross was a A-rank assassin and a hot headed person with a shot temper.
Ross held his unconscious brother body with his arm. He yelled out for answers towards Storm, he asking, "Tell me who did this to him?"
Ross gave a cold glare towards Storm side. He was ready to kill anyone who had harmed his brother; He was a over protective brother, always acting like a older brother should.
Storm quietly glared towards Ross side, with a unbother expression. Ross questioned Storm by having a unbother look that he might have done it, beating up his brother.
"Hey, answer me! Did you do this to my brother or not?!" Ross asked while yelling at Storm. Storm slide his eyes with a cold glared sending chills towards Ross back.
Another figure slowly walked out the shadows of the forest, wearing a white top, with long dusty pants and brown shoes. He casually walked up towards Storm side. The figure name was Dark.
"So tell this, who did you guys lose too?" Dark asked looking at Ross. Storm slightly turned his gaze looking at Dark face. He the shifted his gaze down towards his feet. He questioned himself if he should reveal Riley to Dark, but quickly refused the thought that when everyone find about her they might go after as well. Thought that Riley might become his wife sooner or later, so he had to protect her no matter what!
With a relaxed expression Dark asked him again, "I don't like repeating myself so I am asking you again, who was the one to do this to you guys?" He placed his hand at Storm shoulder. A huge wave of aura shot through from Dark hand touching Storm shoulder. Storm whole body shook from feeling the aura running through his body.
"It was Ryan." Storm murmured with a trembling voice. Even for an S-rank assassin like him, he still feared the Slaughter. The nickname given to Dark. Throughout many nations and cities his name the Slaughter was known.
Dark was one of the top three world most dangerous assissans. His power and skills rivalled many strong S-rank adventurers in the world. He had completed assassination missions that were impossible to complete. He had assassinated royalties, nobilities and strong folks.
"Haha! That's sounds interesting," Dark casually laughed at the sound of Ryan name. "This about to get fun, I am sure his getting ready too. I have been hoping to get a bit of challenge this days."
Dark wrapped his arm around Storm neck. He casually leaned his body laughed out loud. With a look of uncomfort Storm weirdly laughed with him not knowing what was funny.
Dark leaned his face towards Storm face saying, "I will have his head, hah!" Storm casually nodded his head.
Dark unwrapped his arm around Storm neck walking off at aside. He looked up towards the sky with a sinister grin across his face. "It's time we move."
He statement courses the surrounding eyes to appear out of the shadows. All of the assassins stood firm some were glaring down at him through the branches of the trees.
Inside thw chief residence.
"So you are a demon! I knew I sensed something weird about you. I guess subconsciousness was telling me something and I did not listen to it, damn it!" Lennox stated while placing his hand on his forehead.
"You would have noticed anything, she was good at hide it. I am really impressed, even I did not notice it at first," Ryan said and clapped his hands together admiring Riley. Riley casually looked towards the side seeing his admiration as him looking down on her.
"Let's start talking about the real threat now. The assassins are here they have started to show themselves to us, that means the battle has begun now," Ryan stated. Riley firmly nodded her head.
"I did not expect the battle to start so soon. I guess they in a hurry to end you," Lennox said looking at Ryan. Ryan casually smirked and wicked his eye at Lennox side.
"I don't see any of them being a problem to handle for me. The ones I saw just now were completely weaklings. I might get excited if they had someone to fight with," said Ryan.
"I did not know you were a wind magic user, such powerful magic to have. I almost did not recognise it until you used it the second time. Your magic blew them away," Riley stated with a look of admiration. Ryan firmed his face and broad his chest.
Seeing his act Lennox abruptly shook his head. He thought that Ryan was taking her comment to heart; Ryan weakness was being admired, he enjoyed people complitementing his power and looks.
"It's my first time seeing a wind magic user. I did not know you were this strong, I always thought wind magic was not that strong compared to fire, water and earth, but your display of wind magic blew my mind. I was underestimating the magic before I even knew it," Riley explained.
Ryan frowned his eyebrows asking, "Did you just say you never seen wind magic before!?" Riley nodded her head at Ryan.
She slowly stood up from the couch standing firm next to Ryan. She raised her top to check on her wounds, they were almost closed up. Lennox widened his eyes on seeing Riley almost healed up. Before they were hard for him to even look at the as they were looking gruesome.
"You know wind magic users are not that rare in the mortal, most of the population uses wind magic. But couldn't say if they were as strong as me," Ryan stated.
"Oh, I see. I guess I have to be most aware of you," Riley said with a firm look. Ryan casually smiled looking at her eyes.
Ryan frowned his eyes he then casually turned his face towards the window. He slowly walked near it glaring outside through it. His eyes were galring at the sky through the window at the sky. A ominous feeling came over him as he sensed something through the air.
"What are you sensing?" Lennox asked with a concern tone.
With a firmed expression Ryan answered him, "I sensed that something is coming this way. We have to get prepared now."
Both Riley and Lennox faintly nodded their heads agreeing with Ryan words. It meant that they had to be high alert due to they first encounter with the assassins. With one encounter meant another was coming.
Riley smirked on how the events were going as she planned. The first attack of the assassins meant that they were testing to engage their strengths. But it backfired due to Ryan sudden arrival and defeating them.
