Diana was shocked, that was a black-spirit egg. Those eggs were amazing. She have couple of spirit pets herself, but those pets that are laid from the black-spirit eggs are really special. Those pets have the ability to level up and gain more power. They are really powerful beings.
Some spirit pets laid from the black egg can defeat a Magus. Those pets definitely cannot be bought with normal money. Even if the king sold his wife he would not be able to afford such an egg.
Hale was channeling his Qi in the egg. He did not know when it will hatch. But he was definitely expecting something grand.
"Hale, where did you find that egg? You better return it at once. I want you to go give it back, now!" Diana commanded in a demanding tone. If any mage were to see such an egg, they would do anything to get their filthy hands upon it.
"Oh dear sister, let my nephew have that black-spirit egg, I have no use for such things anymore." Martha appeared suddenly like a ghost next to Hale. Even Dia was stunned.
Hale held Martha's hand and was really thankful. If Diana forced him to return the egg, he wondered how upset he would have been. The egg was part of his family now - the egg also had a name, Eggy.
"My beautiful niece come say hello to your Aunt." Martha urged Dia into her embrace. Dia was frightened to move forward, but Martha's voice was very enchanting and Dia couldn't help but move towards her involuntarily. Which stunned Dia even more.
"Hello... Aun-Aunt?" Dia looked at her mother confusingly. Why wasn't she doing any introductions? Diana was just staring at her sister whilst smiling with a wide grin.
"Sister it has been a long time without seeing you. I see you are keeping well and remained as beautiful as ever. Oh my, you really look warily now that I see better. Is taking care of two children that difficult even for someone as powerful as you?" Martha placed Dia down gently, while she was talking she walked up to Diana and hugged her.
Diana was happy. Rarily was the whole family together. "Oh, why would you say such things? I am strong as ever, and my children keep me living." Diana said smilingly while hugging Martha.
"Come let us go inside. Today I will cook something special since the whole family is back together." Diana urged everyone inside the house.
Martha lived in her cave below but she rarily visits the cave or their house. Five years passed yet she finally decided to visit.
"Martha, where have you been all these years?" Diana's curiosity was piqued. Martha knew everything that have happened, since she placed photo-vision crystals around the valley, to capture any suspicious activity or any events. Even Diana didn't know this. The photo-vision crystals were well hidden with magic.
Martha used the photo-vision crystals on the crystal vision-screen to play all the important events that happened. She also had a doppelganger present to keep the family safe so she was always aware of what was happening in the valley. Diana couldn't seek her presence even if she tried her hardest.
It was not a coincidence that Hale stumbled upon her abode. She lead him to her. Even Dia was lead to her abode but Dia has a very strong Mana-perception, which allowed her to escape. Martha was very pleased with her niece.
"Diana, I have traveled the seven seas and nine empires, looking for my kind. Alas those that are left alive are very adept in concealment magic, even I cannot seek them now." Martha explained her adventures and her mission to seek her fellow Dragon's. She wanted to make her race flourish once again but it seems that it was almost impossible, if she cannot find anyone else to be part of the race.
"Don't give up. I'm sure they will seek you if you left your presence. I with have helped you but I am busy teaching my youngling's." Diana wished to help her but it was really hard on her part.
"It's fine dear. Our memories together will forever remain. I wish to play with my niece and nephew." Martha said and moved on by giving some gifts.
