"I sold ginseng that I found at the nearby mountain to a shop called Godly Herbs. That old man was the owner. He wanted to take me as his disciple after seeing my talent in learning Chinese herbs." Yu Qi stated truthfully.
"We also heard that someone saw you at the bank."
"My master bought that ginseng at a very high price. I did not have a bank account at that time, and I was worried that the money might be stolen. So, we went to the bank to open an account for me." Yu Qi explained calmly. "If you still do not believe me, you can contact my master. He should be at Godly Herbs. It is the only shop selling Chinese herbs in this town."
Teacher Shim and Teacher Guan exchanged glances before nodding at each other. They both stood up. Teacher Guan then turned toward Yu Qi.
"Thank you for your explanation. Please wait here for a moment. If you need to go to the restroom, inform the teacher outside first, alright?" Teacher Guan said with a gentle smile.
Teacher Shim remained silent. He only glanced at Yu Qi briefly before leaving the room together with Teacher Guan. This was the first time Yu Qi had lost her composure since her rebirth. Perhaps it was because she could not tolerate hearing her master being insulted in such a manner.
Yu Qi adjusted her posture, now sitting like a CEO waiting for a business partner to agree to her terms. It was a habit she had carried over from her previous life.
