Ignoring her classmates, she quietly returned to her seat. At this moment, she no longer had any intention of making friends in this class. Even though she had never spoken much with them before, at the very least, someone should have come forward to ask her about the rumour.
Yet, instead of doing that, they simply chose to believe it and deliberately distanced themselves from her. She did not need that kind of friend anyway.
"Yu Qi, can I ask you about that old man?" Suddenly, Wang Fu Ya appeared in front of her desk.
Raising her eyebrow slightly, Yu Qi responded in a cold tone. "And what does that have to do with you?"
Wang Fu Ya was momentarily stunned by her blunt response. She had only wanted to inquire about the old man. Deep down, she felt that the man was not someone ordinary. She was certain that the principal's decision earlier had been influenced by him.
"Yu Qi, you should clear up the rumour to everyone. We worry about you." Wang Fu Ya said.
"Yu Qi, you should clarify the rumour to everyone. We are all worried about you." Wang Fu Ya said, trying to sound concerned.
Yu Qi smirked inwardly. 'She wants to know about my master herself, yet she drags the entire class into this. Does she really think I will tell her everything just because she phrases it like this? Idiot... and a moron.'
"There is no need for your concern. I do not deserve it. After all, we are not close to each other." Yu Qi sneered coldly.
"But we are classmates." Wang Fu Ya insisted.
"Exactly. We are just classmates. People who are coincidentally placed in the same room to study. Nothing more, nothing less." Yu Qi cut her off before she could continue.
Wang Fu Ya was left speechless. The rest of the class fell silent as well, not knowing how to respond.
"I do not care what all of you think about me, whether you think I am a bitch or anything else. It does not matter to me at all. Your opinions have no effect on my life. After all, we are merely classmates." Yu Qi said indifferently before turning her gaze toward the window, clearly ending the conversation.
Not long after, the teacher entered and began the final lesson of the day. Yu Qi, however, was already making plans for the rest of her day. She intended to go to Godly Herbs to visit Grandpa Tang and continue learning about medicinal herbs.
Later, she would enter her space again. This time, she planned to spend about six hours inside, which would only translate to two hours in the outside world. At night, she still needed to attend to her part-time job as usual.
