Walking toward her classroom, she noticed a few students whispering among themselves, though the content of their conversation was unclear. Their eyes occasionally darted toward her, filled with curiosity and something else she could not quite name. She chose to ignore them.
When she pushed open the classroom door, an inexplicable feeling of unease crept into her heart. She had thought that her relationship with her classmates had improved recently, but judging from the atmosphere right now, it seemed she had been wrong.
Some of her classmates were still whispering to one another in low voices. Well, she was far too lazy to ask about it. Judging from the way they were looking at her, it was probably nothing good anyway.
"I never thought my classmate was a slut. Spreading her legs just to get some money." Shen Mei spoke loudly, clearly intending for everyone to hear.

Yu Qi let out a cold smirk when she saw that familiar scene unfold. Once again, she had been slandered by this troublesome duo. Without reacting outwardly, she simply turned her gaze toward the window, acting as if the entire discussion had nothing to do with her.
"If it's true, then I don't want to be her classmate. It is too embarrassing." One of her classmates joined in the gossip without hesitation.
Yu Qi did not make a sound to defend herself. She simply felt too lazy to waste her breath communicating with a group of brats who only knew how to gossip and judge others. At that moment, Teacher Song, who taught English, entered the classroom and began the lesson. Yu Qi only paid minimal attention, as she was already fluent in the language.
"Yu Qi, please follow me to the staff room." After finishing the lesson, Teacher Song suddenly called her out.
Yu Qi let out a quiet sigh. 'Maybe it is because of the rumour. I had better settle it first.' She stood up calmly from her seat and followed the teacher out of the classroom.
"Slut." Shen Mei whispered under her breath.
Yu Qi suddenly turned around and shot Shen Mei a deadly glare. 'This girl keeps provoking me. Does she really think I am weak or something?' She stepped closer and leaned toward Shen Mei's ear.
"You had better watch your mouth. Keep it up, and you will invite death upon yourself." Yu Qi said with a low and sinister voice.
Shen Mei shivered uncontrollably when she heard those words. That voice sounded like a grim reaper whispering right beside her ear, ready to claim her life. She looked at Yu Qi with fear in her eyes. Yu Qi then turned around without another word and walked toward the staff room.
This was the second time she had been called into this room. Just like the first time, the teacher left her there alone and asked her to wait. Someone must have seen her yesterday with Grandpa Tang and started a rumour about it, claiming that she had sold herself to him. She could not help but sigh at the absurdity of the situation.
She casually made eye contact with the CCTV camera in the room and smiled faintly. Once again, the teachers monitoring the footage felt a chill run down their spines. 'This student might know about the camera.'
Not long after, Teacher Shim entered the room. He was in charge of disciplining students. With his naturally stern expression and intimidating presence, most students were afraid of him. However, Yu Qi was not afraid at all. After all, her mental age was already twenty-six years old, not that of a mere sixteen-year-old girl.
"Do you know why you have been called here?" Teacher Shim asked coldly.
"Please tell me, Teacher." Yu Qi replied with a calm smile.
Seeing her smile in such a situation only made him angrier. "We heard a rumour about you selling your body to a man in exchange for money."
"As Teacher Shim said, it is only a rumour." Yu Qi responded firmly, her tone steady.
"That was my master. I—" Yu Qi did not get the chance to finish her sentence.
Teacher Shim abruptly cut her off and continued with his harsh accusation. "So, it is true that you are being a slut and spreading your legs for a man."
