"Good morning, miss bella" the clerk smiled sweetly upon sighting me.
"morninggg" i replied the blonded-haired lady behind the desk... plastering a smile on my face that disappered the moment i headed towards the elavator, casting a quick glance at my watch.
7;17.... "Great, enough time to pretend I'm actually working." i mummered sacarstically as i watched the elavator door close.
Today wasn't like the rest of the day, i was nervous as hell even than i was willing to admit. The comapny had already been sold to a man named Ethan cole and he was starting officially today. I had no idea how working for him would be like and hoped he wouldn't be a pain in the ass compared to my ex-boss,milan. Ethan cole is a well-known successful buisness man in the country that had taken interest in the Axton company and proposed milan a deal he couldn't resist. although i hadn't met him before so all my knowledge about him were from the news and tabloids.
The door elavator door chimed open as i sigh and walk out of the elevator
nobody was on the floor yet
"morning bird indeed" mummering to myself
my heels clicking against the marble floor were the only sound echoing through the hall as i reached my desk.
making sure everything was set for the day, i arranged a few documents just to pass out time.

30 minutes later,
I heard the chime sound and raised my head to see nathy and other collegues stepping out of the elevator
"early as usual" nathy said as she walked closer to me .... "trust me i've tried several times to beat you to this but my body just has a mind of its own" she whined.
"you've been saying that since forever plus i was also thinking about what our new boss would be like" i said trying to mask the wierd feeling.
Nathy was the only person i've been close with since the first day i joined this company, we've always got along so well that people practically thought we were besties.
"ohh yhh about that..... i thought so too but we can survive it anyways, we just need to get the work done and besides i would be wishing you a lot of luck as you're the one who would do most of his work". nathy smiled tapping my shoulders as she returned to her desk.
"i can handle this anyways this has been my job for two years now so what more could there be than there already is?"
All my thoughts stopped abruptly the moment i sighted him.
Walking down the hallway was a tall middle-aged man, if i had a proper guess he should be in his late twenties, wearing a perfectly custom-made tailored black suit that probably cost more than my wardrobe, clung to his figure, while his styled black hair fell in soft, dark tendrils over his face..
God damn....
The greetings from people nearby were ignored as he walked straight to his office in long strides pausing abrubtly at the door.
turning sideways to my direction he took a few steps "you're the assistant if i'm not mistaken? he asked casting a questioning glare.
"yes i am....bella by name" i replied fully composed or so i thought....a closer look at him and i could see his deep chocolate eyes that held the warmth of a morning brew....his perfectly chiseled jaw highlighted all his features naturally.... i had seen him on Tv but he looked so demeanor in reality like he had just walked out of forbes magazine.
Bella.....? he called "were you even listening?..." Ethan asked with an infuriated look
Just great i had fucked it all up by gawking at my boss without shame.
"i sorry i got lost for a moment..... if you don't mind could you repeat?". i said with pleading tone avoiding his gaze.
"If you had your eyes up here it would be easier to grasps my words..... we don't want you wandering off again do we?" he said in a calm voice that had me relunctantly raising my head up to meet his piercing eyes with a smirk on his face.
"All meetings should be rescheduled earlier than 12pm.... and i'll take it that you heard me this time." he said not even waiting for a response as he turned and left, leaving me dazed. It took a few seconds to realise people were also in hall and had witnessed the whole incident.
Nathy coughed slightly trying to grab my attention "what a scene...what do you think?" she asked with curiousity sparked in her face
"Let's see.... we can't say just yet but working would be just fine" i muttered.
"he looks so good in person..... don't you even dare deny, it was evident in the way you were staring at him" bella winked with a smile causing me choke on my spit
It was really that obvious?
"he seems arrogant to me" i said raisng my brow
"I was talking of looks not character."nathy replied casting me a 'i caught you' look leaving me as she faced her desk.
Bella had always been a believer of character matters about a person not the looks but she had to admit that he infact looked good.
sighing she got back to work.

Today was long day as all the meetings were rescheduled.
Now it was lunch time. i had to make Ethan aware of this lunch reservation that i booked for him previously. adjusting my top, i straightened as i walked to his office.
Upon knocking, "Come in."
Stepping into his office i walked over to his desk.
"Sir your lunch reservation has been booked and it would be ready in the next ten minutes" i said with a straight look.
"Noted."Ethan replied as he stared at her fully.
She was wearing a lilac bodycon dress that hugged her figure perfectly paired with black heels that gave contrast in a good way, she had a quite sexy slim frame with a height that probably fell around 5'6. Her hair fell with one part pinned to the side. She had a light blue eyes that seemed to be wandering anywhere but me.
You've had lunch yet?
before she could respond her stomach made the growling sound..... flustered, she quickly closed her eyes in embarassment
"so i'll take that as a no" Ethan replied as he walked accross the desk standing in front of her.
"Join me for lunch." Ethan said looking down at her.
i was taken by suprise, did he just ask me to have lunch with him?looking down i quickly thought of what to say.
"No i..."
"Eyes up here when talking to me ms bella." Ethan said raisng my chin to eye level with him.
