Inside a small, messy apartment, Akane Mizumi opened her eyes. As she sat up, a rush of foreign memories flooded her brain. She had transmigrated, but something was wrong. She was in the body of Naruto Uzumaki.
"What happened?" Akane muttered. She placed a hand on her chest and froze when she felt how flat it was. "I transmigrated into Naruto? But... I'm a girl. Naruto is a boy. Is this a joke?"
She shook her head, trying to stay calm. "No, it has to be a dream." She pinched her cheek hard. "Ouch! That hurts... so it's real?"
Akane ran into the bathroom. A loud scream of "Kiaaaaaaah!" erupted from behind the door. Two minutes later, she walked out looking completely defeated. "Why Naruto? Logically, I should have been Ino or Sakura. Why did I have to become a boy?"

[Greetings, Host. Congratulations, you have been chosen by this System. I will help you become the most powerful kunoichi.]
Mizumi was startled, but she regained her composure quickly; after transmigrating into the world of Naruto, the appearance of a system wasn't surprising. "System, I'm a girl. Why am I in Naruto's body?"
[Apologies, Host. You were supposed to become Sakura Haruno. However, due to the 'Will of the World,' you were placed into the body of the Child of Destiny, Naruto Uzumaki.]

"Change me back," Akane said instantly. Even if being a girl would cause problems in the future, the idea of living as a boy was a nightmare she couldn't accept.

Suddenly, a searing heat erupted from her gut. Akane collapsed to her knees as her bones began to shift and crack. Her height decreased slightly, her shoulders narrowed, and her facial features softened. Her short, spiky blonde hair began to grow rapidly, flowing down past her shoulders.
She gripped the floorboards, gasping as her internal organs and muscle structure rearranged themselves. It felt like her entire body was being melted and reshaped. After a final, sharp pang of heat, the light faded.
Mizumi lay on the floor, breathing heavily. She looked down at her hands they were smaller, more delicate. Her orange jumpsuit was now far too big, sliding off her frame. She reached up and felt long, silky blonde hair.

Mizumi passed out from the pain. An hour later, she blinked her eyes open and immediately touched her chest. A grin spread across her face. "They're back." They were small, but she didn't care, she was only 12, she had plenty of time to grow.
She hopped into the bathroom and checked the mirror. "Not bad, I actually look pretty good." She'd been decent-looking in her past life, so She was happy with the results.

Two thin, glowing golden chains snaked out from her back. They weren't huge, maybe two meters long, and they shimmered like liquid gold. They hovered in the air, swaying slightly as if they were waiting for an order.
"Whoa," she whispered. She reached out and touched one; it felt solid and warm.
She pointed at an empty ramen cup on the table. One chain darted forward with perfect precision, hooked the rim, and lifted it into the air without spilling a drop of leftover broth.

"This is exactly what I needed," Naruko muttered. The chains vanished back into her body as she cut the flow. She felt a little tired, but the "storm" of chakra inside her was under control.
"Tomorrow morning is when the Genin teams are assigned," Izumi muttered to herself, glancing at the calendar. "I have to keep the fact that I'm a girl a secret for now."
She looked at her long, golden hair and her new figure. If the old man Hokage found out, he and the elders council would lose their minds. She needed to act like the 'Naruto' everyone knew, at least for now.
