Chapter 8 - A Dream That Shook the Throne

The night was not ordinary…

In the palace, where silence was meant to reign, something was moving in the shadows.

The king could not sleep.

He turned in his bed, his breathing uneven, cold sweat covering his forehead. The images returned… stronger, clearer, more terrifying.

Cows… seven healthy cows.

Then… others.

Thin. Frightening. Their eyes empty, as if they carried an endless hunger.

They moved forward…

and devoured the healthy ones.

But what was stranger…

They did not change.

They were not satisfied.

He woke suddenly.

Sat up, staring into nothing, as if the dream still stood before him.

"What is this…?"

But the dream did not end.

It returned.

Green ears of grain… full of life.

And others… dry.

They wrapped around them… then swallowed them.

The king stood and shouted:

"Gather everyone!"

By morning, the palace was in turmoil.

Advisors, priests, interpreters… all were summoned.

The king stood before them, his eyes restless.

"I have seen a dream… and I will not rest until I understand it."

He told the dream.

In detail.

His voice grew heavier with every word.

Silence.

They looked at one another.

Whispers.

Hesitation.

Then one of them said:

"Disturbed dreams, my lord… they hold no clear meaning."

Another added quickly:

"Just visions of the night… not worth concern."

The king's expression changed.

Anger… began to rise.

"No one understands?!"

Silence.

This time… heavier.

In a corner of the hall…

A man froze.

As if an old memory struck him suddenly.

A face… a voice… a prison…

Yusuf.

"My lord!"

He raised his voice suddenly, and all eyes turned to him.

"I… know someone who can."

He stepped forward, hesitant, but his eyes were certain.

"A man in prison… once interpreted my dream… and he was precise."

He paused.

Then said slowly:

"He did not fail."

Everything changed.

"Bring him."

In the prison…

The news arrived like a shock.

Doors opened. Footsteps rushed.

"Yusuf!"

He lifted his head.

The same calm.

But this time… something else was with it.

A moment.

"The king is calling for you."

Silence filled the place.

Prisoners stared.

Guards waited.

Yusuf… did not move immediately.

"Why now…?"

The question passed through his mind.

But he did not speak it.

He stood.

Slowly.

Firmly.

"I will not leave… until the truth is revealed."

He said it calmly, but his words fell like stone.

The guard was stunned:

"The king is waiting!"

"And truth… waits longer."

A moment of silence.

Then…

Everything moved again.

In the palace…

No one expected the prisoner… to refuse.

But that refusal…

was not weakness.

It was the beginning…

of something greater.

Within the palace walls, where decisions are made…

the name Yusuf…

was spoken for the first time.

With seriousness.

And the dream…

was not just a dream.

It was a warning.

And for the first time…

the king felt…

that something…

greater than him…

was approaching.
