Chapter 2 - The Surprise.

The pressure building on Agra's chest was overwhelming that almost crashed him to his knees.

His heart ached with each passing as his breath becoming shallow.

His lungs tightened with his throat became heavy in a way that he almost chocked between his breathing.

A sickening feeling rushed through his stomach that forced him to almost puke. And for a moment, Agra just stood there, not knowing what to do.

He felt like screaming, rushing towards her. But just an image of him doing that was so amusing that he found himself laughing, while tears trickling down his face.

Laying in the bed right in front of him was Irene, half naked with only her short pajamas and an oversized hood on.

Her hair was messy, silver strands spilling across the pillow like threads of moonlight. Against the dim glow of the room, her pale skin seemed almost luminous, fragile yet commanding, as though carved from frost itself. The oversized hood draped loosely over her shoulders, framing a face that carried both exhaustion and quiet strength.

Her expression was paradoxical, cold in its stillness, yet warm in the softness of her tired eyes, a look that seemed to hold centuries of silence and secrets.

The short pajamas clung lightly to her form, understated and unguarded, and yet, this wasn't the reason why Agra broke down full of emotion.

Planting a soft kiss on Irene's neck was a young boy, bare-chested, seventeen at most. His body carved like it had been sculpted by gods with a flair for perfection.

His jawline was sharp enough to cut through the silence, his face so achingly beautiful it could make angels weep. Blond curls spilled across the pillow, thick and unruly, catching the light like threads of gold.

His chest rose and fell in rhythm, muscles rippling beneath skin that looked like it had never known weakness. His abs were defined, effortless, like they belonged to someone who didn't train for them, they simply happened.

Irene's hand curled around his neck like she had long longed for this. Her breathing was in the rhyme with the boy's, and the way she responded on the kissing and all, it was so natural that it made Agra to realize how just this wasn't their first time.

He had heard of this. Hell, he had even watched the movies of this specific part and yet, he didn't expect it would hurt like this.

The pain was so overwhelming and yet, Agra couldn't tell what exact part of his body that was aching.

He thought it would be his heart, well, he was wrong. It wasn't his heart, it wasn't his chest or mind either, he just... couldn't tell.

The weight of betrayal, the pain of heartbreak was so overwhelming that forced Agra to crush on his knees with a loud thud, that startled, and got the attention of the two in bed.

"Oh my Goodness!" Irene screamed while jumping out of the bed and to the far corner of the room.

"Agra ... What are you doing here?" She muttered, startled as she didn't expect to see him here. "For how long have you been there... You were ... You didn't..." She tried to speak but no proper sentence came out of her mouth.

"Wait." She finally spoke while trying to calm herself. "it's not what it looks like. I can explain everything." She spoke.

The words was so disgusting that it made Agra to almost puke. If someone else could have told them of this, Irene betraying him, he wouldn't have believed them, but now that he has witnessed it at first hand, what was there to explain?

Trust, the only currency of trade in their relationship was broken, so what was there really to explain?

He forced his crying face look at Irene one more that. He thought, maybe, just maybe, when he would look up, he would see nothing, he wouldn't see Irene, he wouldn't see her cheating on him as this was all his imagination, but reality hit hard as his eyes landed on Irene standing there, tears rolling down her eyes with guilt washing all over her aura.

That was enough as Agra blinked and look over at the boy who seemed to be completely unflinched by this, with a charming, wide smirk on his face.

It only took a glance for Agra to recognize him. Derek, the liquid Alpha of Silver Moon pack, a term that stands for the next successor of the pack.

If she was had cheated on him with another warlock, that could have been understanding. But a werewolf of all beings? That was unacceptable.

Werewolves and vampires are their number one enemies, so how could she?

They are the reason why he is an orphan and she knew it, so why could she do this to him?

Was this a way of mocking him? Was this her way of telling him that she had made a mistake by bonding to him? Or was this just some kind of a nature playing some stupid tricks on him?

Just thinking of this, his breathing become even more shallow, his throat clogged up and his heart pounded faster that threatened to shatter his chest.

"I_I_I can't breath..." Agra muttered while crashing on the floor.

The pain he was experiencing suddenly vanished, but not in a good way, as another pain suddenly sunk in.

This one was more intense, more like something was burning and boiling inside of him that turned his aura dark and suffocating.

It didn't just affect the room, the whole world experienced this as the skies suddenly turned bloody red.

Surprisingly, this Anomaly wasn't visible to the eyes of the humans, it was only visible to vampires, witches and werewolves.

A new wave of pain hit Agra's body one more time and in that instance, a soothing wave suddenly pulsed from his body and travelled worldwide in a blink, and the moment it made contact with a witch, vampire, or a werewolf, they suddenly collapsed on the floor and lost consciousness instantly, no matter how strong they were.

The series of pain continued, each wave carrying a weight he couldn't bear. His lungs stopped to receive the air, his heartbeat become shallow and his eyelids became heavy and started to pull shut.

But before he could completely lose his consciousness...

[Congratulations! You have awakened The Bloodline Anomaly]

[You....

A dark black background computerized screen with a crimson writings suddenly materialized in front of his eyes.
