Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Just to clarify, this is my version of the story based on my previous fanfic "The King of Kings," so you may see many things that don't align with the original Fate canon.

Prologue: The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Every treasure has an origin, and that origin is actually easy to trace... you see, heroes, human beings who left their mark on the history of humanity, all of them being different, some excelling in strength, others in ingenuity, some even for their unique aspects, yet every single one of them had one thing in common: they would all be remembered for the heroic deeds they achieved throughout their lives. But where did the definition of "hero" come from? Many would say it emerged on its own through time, but they couldn't be more wrong, as the word "hero" was coined solely to define one unique being.

The first hero, king of them all, the first demigod, born in Sumeria and king of the first city of humanity, Gilgamesh, the prototype for all heroes of the past and the future, mentioned in the Epic of Gilgamesh. He was not just a simple mortal; he was born to be a king, one who would never bow to anyone, not even to the gods themselves, son of the king of Uruk, Lugalbanda, and the primordial deity Rimat-Ninsun, a transcendental being never before seen in history, born with two-thirds divine blood and one-third human.

Since he was a child, he was noble-hearted and loved by all the people in his kingdom, but at some point in his life, the innocent child became an arrogant, cruel, and vain being who looked down upon everyone, including the gods, naturally, who were disconcerted by this extreme change.

And speaking of the gods, indignant at his attitude, they decided to put a stop to the first king. However, his strength was one that none of them wished to face, so they combined their powers to create a woman from clay, a woman who was the very definition of beauty and innocence. She wasn't overly voluptuous but was perfectly proportioned, with exotic, bright green hair, bright blue eyes like the sea, and a youthful face with a touch of maturity. In short, she was simply the perfect woman.

The gods sent her to fight Gilgamesh to stop his insulting acts against them, and being little more than an innocent girl, she headed to the kingdom of Uruk, where upon arrival she noticed a great feast, but that was not important, she had to find her target, who was escorting a very beautiful woman who felt truly uncomfortable, so she approached him.

As for Gilgamesh, he had been enjoying the wedding and would soon take the bride's virginity, even if she was another man's wife. However, before he could do so, he noticed the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, so with his characteristic arrogance, he approached the beautiful woman, and when he was in front of her, without any hesitation or shame, he took her by the waist with one arm while lifting her chin with his free hand, ready to kiss her, after all, he was the king and could take whomever he wanted.

However, and to his great surprise, a fist soon crashed into his face, sending him flying out of his palace and smashing into five mountains, and when he looked up, he saw the girl landing near him, and with anger flooding him because the woman dared to raise her hand against him, he simply lunged at her, starting a legendary combat.

For seven entire days, the two fought relentlessly until they finally collapsed from exhaustion, lying next to each other without saying anything, looking directly up at the sky, a scene that was broken when a laugh was heard throughout the place. The one who was laughing was none other than Gilgamesh, but this was not his characteristic arrogant or sadistic laugh, but rather a laugh of pure happiness and amusement, and one so contagious that the girl soon began to laugh along with him.

Finally, once both had calmed down, Gilgamesh asked her for her name, to which she replied that she did not have one, something that displeased the king since everyone should have a name.

"Enkidu, that will be your name from now on." The king's smile caused the now named Enkidu to look at him with surprise for a moment before smiling and taking his hand. Thus, the greatest friendship in history was born.

That day began the golden age of the kingdom of Uruk. The king began to act for the welfare of his people and his kingdom, while living great adventures with his friend that made his fame reach never-before-seen levels alongside the green-haired woman, and of course, they all knew that if he acted cruelly, the unofficial queen would punish him. That was something no one would say out loud, but it was common unofficial knowledge that Gilgamesh already considered her his wife; he just needed to make it official.

However, the peace did not last for long, and as in every story, love and lust had a hand in it, or more specifically, the goddess of these two gifts, Ishtar, the mother goddess of Sumeria, who desired the perfect man as her husband with the intention of bringing a golden age to the world once more, like the one seen in the era of the great Qin empire, and that man in the eyes of the goddess was none other than Gilgamesh. However, he rejected the goddess, knowing better than anyone that the goddess unconsciously or consciously brought misfortune to men, besides, he was a man in love; he loved a woman who, in his eyes, was a hundred times more beautiful than the goddess herself, who was named the most beautiful in the world.

Scoffed and full of wrath, Ishtar ignored the advice of all the gods and released a beast rumored to be on the same level as the legendary demon god Chi-Yu, the Bull of Heaven, a beast that the gods themselves feared was released in the kingdom of Uruk, causing havoc for seven full years.

"Without King Qin and his decrees from the Heavens, only two beings remained who could stand against the beast: King Gilgamesh and his unofficial queen, Enkidu. However, they waited seven years to confront the beast, and they certainly had two reasons for doing so.

The first was related somewhat to their ego, which was that both wished to see if they were capable of creating an artificial dimension. Certainly, given that several supernatural beings had this ability, they could do it without much trouble. However, this dimension was quite special—the place where all treasures would originate, past, present, and future. If something was considered a treasure, it would originate in this place, even if it belonged to a different dimension.

They called this place King's Treasure.

As for the second reason, it was much more important in the hearts of both rulers and had nothing to do with their ego: caring for their small son... You see, seven years earlier, after rejecting the goddess of love and lust, Gilgamesh had made his decision and proposed marriage to Enkidu, who accepted with tears of joy, and a year later, the small baby boy who would become the prince of the kingdom was born.

With golden blonde hair like his father's, but eyes as blue as the ocean of his mother, they named him after that great king whose family once respected and admired in older eras: Naruto De Uruk.

As he grew, Naruto proved to be as kind-hearted as his mother, and at the same time, he was intelligent and intimidating when the situation required it. Although he showed a bit of his father's arrogance, as well as his charisma and luck.

In addition to that, he possessed an enormous amount of divine power, something that was actually quite natural since, due to his parents, he was more god than man, with over 90% of his blood being divine. But thanks to his mother's divine beast blood, it was very different from that of the gods, not to mention that even though his father was 2/3 god and was already stronger than a major god, and his mother was the only woman capable of matching his father.

So, one could say that Naruto has the potential to be stronger than his parents, although he still has a lot of time before that. After all, although he was already stronger than many gods, the child was still just that—a child of barely six years old.

But now, returning to the subject of the story, Gilgamesh and Enkidu finally went to fight the Bull of Heaven, leaving Naruto in the palace despite his constant complaints of wanting to go with his parents. Finally, after a battle that shook the heavens, the sea, and the earth, the king and queen of Uruk emerged victorious thanks to Enkidu's ability to contain divinity and the different weapons stored in the Gates of Babylon.

The victory led to a grand celebration in honor of the kingdom's great heroes, their own rulers, for a victory that would be told for ages and ages... As for what happened to the Bull, Gilgamesh fashioned armor from the bones of the beast, which were made of the hardest material known to gods and men: celestial gold.

However, there was a problem. The gods of Sumeria, once again ignoring other gods who tried to remind their desert counterparts that Gilgamesh was the descendant of the great friend of their great friend, the great King Qin, were still enraged by the fact that mere mortals had killed a divine being. Unfortunately, the most angered was Ishtar, demanding retribution for this blasphemy, and with a unanimous vote in Sumeria, retribution was agreed upon. However, since Gilgamesh was the king and his young son was the heir to the throne, the gods could not touch them without the gods of other pantheons retaliating against them for ending a lineage that went back to the era of the great empire. Therefore, their wrath fell upon the queen, who, being a creation of the gods, was the only one they could take out their anger on."

As a result of this, the gods slowly began to drain Enkidu's life with a mortal illness that took thirteen days to extinguish her life, thirteen days in which father and son were the most affected, only being capable of watching as their wife and mother slowly agonized.

On the thirteenth day, Enkidu, lying in her bed, knew her time had come to an end, so looking at the two most important men in her short life, her husband and son who had not left her side in these thirteen days, the woman simply tried to hold back her tears as she would have wished to be with them forever, sadly she could not do that and had to bid them farewell, so she woke them from their slumber and when both were awake.

"My beloved husband, my handsome baby, unfortunately, my time is about to end." Enkidu told them with a small smile full of sadness and sorrow as she saw the pain on the faces of her two little men, however, she had to say this. "Gilgamesh, I know what you are going to do once I'm gone, and nothing I say will make you change your mind, that's why I only ask you not... I want you to promise me that you will protect Naruto by any means, no matter how painful it is." Gilgamesh of course knew what his beloved was referring to, so he could only nod his head. The woman, satisfied, turned her gaze to her son who had started crying at some point but remained silent.

Enkidu simply motioned for her son to come closer, and when he did, she hugged him and kissed his forehead. "My little prince, even though you are still small, you are mature enough to know what is happening." These words given by his mother simply made Naruto nod his head as he buried his face in his mother's chest. "I just want you to know that I love you with all my being, and the only thing I can do for you is to give you my last advice as your mother." Her voice was soft and weak, but her son would still listen to everything his mother would tell him.

"Eat healthily so you grow up to be a handsome and strong man like your father, only without being an arrogant bastard." She said, earning a small grimace from Gilgamesh. "– Don't fall into bad habits, and finally, find good friends who will follow you to the end, as well as one or more women who will love you so you can give me many grandchildren." Under other circumstances, Naruto might have blushed, but given the circumstances, he was unable to feel embarrassment. "Finally, let me tell you both a little truth." The mother of the family said to her two idiot boys. " No matter the path you choose to follow, the only thing you should know and be sure of is that it will always be true is that..." she said as she opened her arms to wrap her husband and son in a family embrace, their last family embrace." I will love and protect you forever." And when she finished those words, her body began to glow and turn into golden dust, leaving behind only chains with a triangular tip on one end and a circular one on the other side.

Father and son simply stood there in a state of shock, a shock caused by seeing the most important woman in their lives was gone, Gilgamesh was the first to react with the greatest anger he has ever felt in his life, unleashing his power in the form of a beam of light that connected heaven and earth, an explosion of power so great that all corners of the world felt the man's wrath, before completely turning his back on the gods of Sumeria, knowing that the King of Uruk's wrath could only be satiated with the golden blood of the Sumerian gods.

Therefore, turning around, he left to prepare to exterminate the oldest gods in the world, the moment Naruto noticed his father leaving the room, he simply took the chains that his mother left behind as her last gift and followed him.

Gilgamesh was clearly determined to kill all the Sumerian gods regardless of the collateral damage this would bring or the lives that would be lost in his search for revenge, but then he remembered the promise he made to his wife, the promise that he would protect his beloved son by any means.

"That's why I turn to look at his young son, who barely reached his waist, and he extended his hand so that in a flash a golden key-shaped sword appeared. Then he knelt down to be at his son's level and offered him the object. 'Take this. As my heir, the Key of the King belongs to you by birthright, so you will have the power of the King's Treasury,' the man said, causing Naruto to show an expression of surprise on his face before taking the keyblade with both hands and watching with fascination as it dissolved into golden dust and entered his chest.

Then he gasped as his brain was flooded with the infinity of treasures stored in a landscape full of light next to a lake of golden water. Now that he thought about it, his father hadn't given him a bottle with this stuff when he was much younger. No, his father wouldn't be so foolish as to ignore the fact that he had the Fountain of Youth in this place. As for the rest of the treasures, they were all kinds of items ranging from weapons, gold, vehicles, stone tablets with ancient knowledge, among many other things.

They were simply too many treasures, and yet more and more kept being added, including thirteen weapons that, as far as he could understand, would be called Longinus in the future. However, of all of them, the grandest and most splendid was a sword atop a hill, floating gently with his mother's chains dancing in circles around it. As for the name of these chains, he decided to honor his mother by naming them Enkidu, Chains of Heaven.

But going back to the weapon, it was undoubtedly the strangest sword he had ever seen in his life. It had a large golden hilt with unknown symbols, and instead of a blade, it had a black cylinder with red lines divided into three sections slowly rotating, the middle one spinning to the right while the other two spun to the left. It was a most strange yet magnificent sword.

Ea, the Sword of Divine Rupture, the primordial sword that existed before the concept of swords, a weapon created in chaos itself representing the aspect of 'the truth,' a weapon older than the great Emperor Qin himself and even older than the first Dragon King Ancalagon, who was rumored to be as ancient as life itself.

This power was certainly incredible, and Naruto could feel he could do anything. However, he had no more time to think about this when he heard his father calling him.

And speaking of Gilgamesh, upon seeing his son come back to his senses, he simply let out a sigh of relief. He had been afraid that the King's Treasury wouldn't accept his son, but apparently, there was nothing to worry about. Just like him and Enkidu, his son had been born to be a perfect existence, and even Ea had accepted him as its wielder.

Satisfied with this result, Gilgamesh looked at his son, catching his attention. 'Naruto, I'm going on a journey to make those sons of b*tches who call themselves gods pay,' the king said with clear hatred in his voice. 'But first, I have to keep you safe, as I promised your mother.' With that said, Gilgamesh stood up while a golden light covered him, revealing the indestructible armor of celestial gold.

Naruto could only lower his head, feeling truly sad at this moment. 'Okay, Father, but when will you come back?' He had just lost his mother and truly didn't want to lose his father too. He was just a child and needed him.

Gilgamesh, feeling that, simply looked at his son with remorse before telling him the truth. 'I'm sorry, my son, but although I know I will kill each and every one of those bastards, it's possible that I won't survive.' His voice was full of pain and remorse.

A pain that grew even greater when he saw his son open his eyes in shock. The little boy had just lost his mother and was now about to lose his father too. This simply wasn't fair to the child. However, before he could say anything, Gilgamesh interrupted him. 'Naruto, I know I must be the worst father in the world for you for leaving you alone, but this is something I have to do or I won't be able to live with myself. I hope you manage to understand me when you are older,' Gilgamesh told him in a serious tone."

Naruto simply lowered his head, holding back the urge to cry. However, he soon felt a pair of arms wrap around him in a hug, something that actually made him cry genuinely, as this was the first time in his life his father had hugged him.

"Naruto, I just want you to know that I'm very proud of you. When you wake up, you will be in a different place, but I know you'll be fine. After all, you are my son and your mother's. For the first time in his life," Gilgamesh's tone was paternal. "Remember you were born to be a king, a ruler who will be above all others, your will is law, the world your playground, you are destined to be the strongest of all, forge your kingdom and make it a utopia at your feet."

"It's alright, father. I promise I will be the best king, one who is above everyone, including those golden-blooded half-breeds." Naruto said, who, to his father's surprise, was for the first time in his life renouncing his origins.

However, in the end, Gilgamesh only thought it was grief speaking. After all, the future had been shown to him; his son would become a king who would be even greater than the great King Qin. He would make mistakes, that was true, but he would learn from them and become the best king of all. "I entrust my will to you, my beloved son. Now sleep; your journey will begin when you wake up." Gilgamesh said while using a bit of his divine power to put his son to sleep.

Naruto tried to resist it, yet he was not as strong as his father and therefore began to feel tired as he started to close his eyes. "It's okay, father... I love you. And with that, the six-year-old boy finally fell completely asleep."

"I love you too, my son." Gilgamesh said with a smile as he caught his son.

Now with his son completely asleep, Gilgamesh summoned Vimana, the ship that was capable of moving faster than light. Then he simply jumped onto it to leave his flesh and blood on the throne embedded in the ship before getting off.

However, he was aware of one thing: even though his lineage was respected by many of the other pantheons, he knew his son would not be safe in this era with the gods seeking revenge against him for what he was planning to do, besides the fact that many would try to take advantage of his son. That's why he made a difficult decision. From one of the golden portals, he summoned a scythe almost his own size, the weapon of the titan Cronus, a weapon capable of cutting space and time.

Moving the scythe in the air, he watched a spatiotemporal fissure open, one large enough for Vimana to cross. With a simple mental command, the ship floated slowly towards the fissure, taking his little son with it.

A scene that Gilgamesh watched with sadness for the time it took for the ship to enter before the portal closed. And now, having made sure that his son would be safe and would have the opportunity to live, it was time for the gods to know his daughter, the wrath of the King of Heroes.

And this is how the epic of Gilgamesh ends. However, with the passing of the ages, the story was modified, such as that Enkidu was a man, or that Gilgamesh never murdered the gods of Babylon, all and each of these modifications being made at the hands of other gods from other pantheons, who could not afford to let mortals know that they could actually be permanently killed. After all, being defeated by a mortal or being murdered were two completely different things. However, the most important change of all was that Gilgamesh never had descendants, so without any known legacy, Gilgamesh's existence and power were considered only a myth.

What they didn't know was that in the distant future, his heir, Naruto Uras of Uruk, would return to take the world that belonged to him by divine right, since the legacy of Gilgamesh would never die, and the world with its neighboring dimensions would once again feel and fear the power of a true king.

End of chapter.

One final clarification: this prologue was written approximately five or six years ago, when I was still using my first Wattpad profile. Therefore, it contains an excessive number of errors. Please, do not take it too seriously; I am only publishing it to offer you context about the real story.
