Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Tsunayoshi Sawada

"Even Bleach has made a comeback… so when are the Simon Arc and the Arcobaleno Curse Arc from Katekyo Hitman Reborn! going to get animated?" the boy muttered while watching the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc on his screen.

His name was Katagiri, His biggest hobby in life was watching anime. Among them, his two favorites were Bleach and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. Both series had once ended abruptly, leaving parts of their stories unanimated.

Bleach already animated the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, but the continuation of Reborn! still seemed hopelessly distant.

Katagiri idly played with a ring in his hand—a fully unlocked Sky Ring.

He had bought it by chance from a roadside stall on his way home.

The ring itself was primarily black and gold. At its center was the Vongola family crest, surrounded by engraved text reading Vongola. Around the emblem were six embedded gemstones—red, blue, yellow, green, purple, and indigo—symbolizing the six Guardians of the Vongola Family.

When he was younger, Katagiri had loved Reborn! so much that he tried to collect every ring that appeared in the anime. However, the unsealed Sky Ring never really matched his aesthetic tastes at the time, so the full set he owned had always lacked that one piece.

Now that he had bought it, Katagiri originally planned to rewatch the Reborn! anime to relive a bit of his inner child.

But when he turned on his computer, the first thing he saw was a new episode of Bleach.

Being a fan of Bleach as well, Katagiri immediately muttered:

"Kek. Ban... KAI."

Then he excitedly started the newest episode.

As for the Sky Ring he had just bought, he simply placed it into the jewelry box that already stored the rest of his ring collection.

"Forget it… I'll rewatch Reborn! later."

He sighed dramatically.

"No regrets joining the reborn fandom in this life—may I be born in Namimori Town in the next."

With the regret of Reborn! Season 2 remaining forever uncertain, Katagiri closed the jewelry box. But his mood quickly lifted again as he admired Bleach's stylish art style.

Yes, this was it.

The character designs, the aesthetics—no matter the angle, every character looked uniquely cool.

That was exactly why Katagiri loved both Bleach and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! so much.

What he didn't know was that when he excitedly muttered "Bankai", the Sky Ring he had just placed inside the jewelry box emitted a faint flicker of flame.

At the same moment, the screen in front of him began to glow brighter and brighter.

Until the light swallowed him whole.

---

When Katagiri regained consciousness, he felt groggy.

His room seemed noticeably larger, and the surroundings felt completely unfamiliar.

Just as he tried to sit up, fragments of faint memories surfaced in his mind.

There were no detailed events—only a vague outline of the house layout, a gentle mother, and a strong father who loved teasing him.

That was all.

Katagiri roughly understood what had happened.

With all hell of a memories and experiences searing his soul, all doubts are getting washed away.

If this wasn't a dream, then there was only one meaning.

He got... Isekai'd?

And he had entered the body of a child who had only just learned to speak. That explained why the memories were so sparse. Even thinking too much made him drowsy.

Shit. Forget it.

Better sleep first.

...

"Tsuna, dinner's ready~"

"Coming, Mom!"

"Mom, there are so many dishes today. Did Dad come back from Italy?" the boy asked.

"You're talking nonsense again," his mother gently corrected him while arranging his utensils. "Your father came home from the construction site, not Italy."

"Nana, is Tsuna spreading rumors about me again?" his father's rough voice sounded from the doorway.

He wore a white undershirt, work clothes, and a safety helmet—every bit the image of a construction worker.

"Dad, didn't you bring any Italian friends back?" Tsuna craned his neck to look outside.

"You brat. Where would Italians come from at a construction site? It's just a bunch of rough guys," his father grinned while pinching his cheeks.

"Alright, go take a shower. Dinner's almost ready," Nana said as she pushed the sweat-covered man toward the bathroom.

Watching his parents' backs, Tsuna's eyes flashed with faint disappointment.

He isekai'd in this world several years ago and was already in the second grade of elementary school. Yet this troublesome old man of a father hid things so well that Tsuna hadn't found a single flaw.

A gentle mother—Sawada Nana.

A strong father who worked away from home most of the year—Sawada Iemitsu.

And himself, named Sawada Tsunayoshi, attending Namimori Elementary School.

All these clues had convinced Tsuna that he had transmigrated into the world of Katekyo Hitman Reborn!.

After realizing this, Tsuna had repeatedly tried to probe his father for information—hoping to confirm whether he was the legendary Vongola External Advisor. He even wondered if he might meet someone from the Vongola early or perhaps learn to use Dying Will Flames ahead of time.

That was why he kept asking whether his father had Italian friends.

After all, Tsuna remembered that the Ninth Vongola Boss once visited the protagonist during childhood. Yet he was already in second grade, and the old man still hadn't appeared. In just a few years, middle school would begin—and that was when the main story should start.

Tsuna absentmindedly touched the Sky Ring hanging from his neck.

He had discovered it beneath his pillow shortly after arriving in this world.

Originally, he thought he might ignite Dying Will Flames like in the anime—by sheer determination.

But no matter how hard he tried, the ring never reacted at all.

Of course, thinking about it calmly, it made sense.

This was clearly the unsealed Sky Ring—the exact replica he had bought in his previous life. The real Vongola Rings were still sealed and looked completely different.

In the end, Tsuna could only keep it as a memento.

After all, it was the only thing that had crossed worlds with him.

Even if he couldn't ignite Dying Will Flames yet, Tsuna believed he should prepare for the future. So he joined a sports club in elementary school, training his body to become stronger.

That way, when battles eventually came, he would at least have a better chance of survival.

Over the years, Tsuna continued testing his mysterious father through subtle hints.

But after careful observation, that supposedly mysterious man didn't seem mysterious at all.

He truly appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary construction worker.

The smell of wood shavings and soil clinging to him couldn't be faked.

Surely his father wouldn't deliberately coat himself with construction materials every time before coming home, right?

While Tsuna was lost in such thoughts, his father finished showering, and Nana placed all the dishes on the table.

"Ahem."

Iemitsu cleared his throat and adopted a serious posture.

"Before we start eating, I have something to announce."

"What is it?" Tsuna asked half-heartedly. "You're not taking us to Italy for vacation, are you?"

"Is Italy the only thing in that head of yours?" Iemitsu grumbled as he ruffled Tsuna's spiky hair even more.

"You're partly right though. But it's not a trip—it's a move."

"A move… to Italy?"

Tsuna instantly brightened.

He hadn't recognized any familiar characters from Reborn! at Namimori Elementary School. That had made him doubt whether he had truly transmigrated into the mafia world.

If they moved to Italy, he might finally confirm it.

"Not Italy." Iemitsu rested his chin on his hand, looking at Tsuna with a doting smile.

"It's because of you, actually. You keep bragging about how amazing your father is."

"So I had to live up to your expectations. After years of hard work, the company's upper management finally recognized my efforts."

"According to the company's plan, I'll soon become the president of a newly established branch office."

"At that point I won't have much time to come home anymore, so I plan to move the whole family there."

Iemitsu proudly asked:

"Well? Your old man fulfilled your expectations. Now you're the son of a company president. Isn't that even better than the 'advisor' you keep talking about? When I get there, I'll even hire a few advisors just so you can see them."

Tsuna was stunned.

Completely stunned.

He slowly turned to Nana, asking if it was true.

"It's true, Tsuna," Nana said gently as she smoothed his messy hair. "You gave your father a lot of motivation. Your encouragement helped him get this promotion."

"Ha… ha…"

Tsuna laughed awkwardly.

No matter how he looked at it, it seemed his attempts to test his father had instead motivated him to work harder—indirectly causing his promotion.

Which meant…

His father really was just an ordinary construction worker.

That meant the Italian mafia, the Vongola, and everything else probably didn't exist.

No wonder Tsuna couldn't find Kyoko Sasagawa, Ryohei Sasagawa, or Takeshi Yamamoto at Namimori Elementary School.

There was only one explanation.

This wasn't the world of Reborn! at all.

What a pity, he had even wanted to see whether the Arcobaleno were as adorable in person as they were in the anime.

Tsuna sighed softly.

"What's wrong, Tsuna?" Nana asked. "Don't you like the food?"

"No, Mom. It's delicious."

He simply felt regret that his future as a mafia boss was slipping further away.

But soon he regained his smile.

Even if this wasn't the Reborn! world, having a gentle mother and a father who was now a company president didn't sound so bad.

He could treat it as living a second life.

"Oh right, Dad," Tsuna suddenly remembered. "Where are we moving to?"

He asked while chewing on a drumstick.

"You don't even know all the street names around here yet," Iemitsu said. "No matter where we move, it'll be new for you. Instead of worrying about that, think about saying goodbye to your classmates."

"Come on… just tell me…" Tsuna mumbled through a mouthful of chicken.

Truthfully, he wasn't that concerned. Like his father said, he had never left Namimori Town anyway.

"Well, remember this," Iemitsu said.

"The place we'll be living from now on is called…"

"Karakura Town."

Clatter.

The drumstick fell onto the table.

Tsuna's mouth hung wide open.

Because he knew exactly what Karakura Town was.

Wasn't that the home base of Ichigo?

Could it be…

…this world is actually the world of Bleach?
