Synopsis
When you have a chance to start over, what would you want to do? After experiencing a failed life and reincarnating into a new world, becoming Hikigaya Hachiman, he chose what he believed to be the easiest path. "Might as well become a light novel author." P.S - This mostly contains slice of life, this is a mix of crossover anime, so don't be surprised if you see some other characters from a different series. This is technically a harem, however this isn't the catch all type of story, the main character is a decent person with functional common sense, not arrogant or over the top but relatable.

Chapter 1 - Hachiman Wants a New Life

Rebirth, so-called, is both a good thing and a bad thing.

It means you have a chance to start over, to salvage your failed life.

But if you think that after rebirth, you will experience a smooth sailing life, then you are mistaken.

For ordinary mortals, it might just be another experience of failure, another taste of pain.

12 years old Hikigaya Hachiman thought so.

Why did he think that?

Because he was a transmigrator, reborn from another world into this current one, becoming Hikigaya Hachiman, the male protagonist of an anime called "My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected" from his memories.

He had already spent twelve years in this world, living a life that was somewhat different yet very similar to his previous one, and if he continued down this path, he believed his future life would still be tragic and pathetic.

If he could follow the anime's plot, climb the social ladder of the Yukino family, and live off her, perhaps that would be a good thing.

But, that's very unrealistic.

Do you think that after reincarnation you can become the protagonist, become loved by everyone like Adonis? and easily build a harem in this world?

No way? No way!

That's delusional!

He doesn't even have a golden finger.

If he could experience the following events like Hikigaya-sensei from the original, such as confessing and being friend-zoned, imagining himself as an unknown god with unknown powers during his chuunibyou phase.

Being called Hikigerma by his classmates, going to karaoke alone, being rejected during group dances and not allowed to hold hands, being told by his homeroom teacher that he's the most hated guy in the entire school.

And then, on the first day of school, saving Dango's dog, and spending some time in the hospital, perhaps he would become a carbon copy of Hikigaya-sensei.

But, just thinking about it felt troublesome; he didn't want to endure so much unnecessary pain, and what if he caused greater harm while saving the dog?

Therefore, Hikigaya now decided he wanted to live his own, brand new life.

Of course, if there was an opportunity to live off someone, he wouldn't necessarily refuse it.

"So, what exactly should I do?"

Looking at the full moon hanging in the sky like a silver plate, Hikigaya couldn't help but reach out his right hand, wanting to touch it, muttering to himself.

Saying he wanted to live his own life and not fail again was a very abstract concept.

Hmm, if it could be a bit more concrete, it should be wanting to be a bit more dazzling?

Like the popular kids in school who have the confidence to boss people around?

That's probably not it.

Interpersonal relationships were his weakness, both in terms of personality and appearance.

So, he could only start with a career.

Naturally, as a good-for-nothing shut-in in his previous life, the only achievements he could think of were in the otaku culture, which was also the prevalent culture in this country.

Manga artist, anime production, and light novels author—he naturally chose the path of a light novels author.

Firstly, anime production requires a mature team and very high costs, and the earnings might not even be that much.

As for manga artists, if it's a weekly serialization, it's really too tiring, and just the drawing skills require immense effort and refinement; not everyone can stand out in another way like One-sensei.

Only being a light novel author was the path that best suited him; not only was the time cost low, but the entry requirements were also much lower compared to the other two.

Additionally, Hikigaya considered himself good at language arts, so becoming a light novel author should be easier.

Without further ado, once he made up his mind, he began to act.

To do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools!

Hachiman Hikigaya's first thought was to ask his parents for a laptop for typing.

But this seemed far too outlandish.

At home, he wasn't favored; for example, on his birthday, he either got a cake with no one to celebrate, or he only received ten thousand yen.

Komachi, however, would go out to eat for her birthday, receive New Year's money, gifts, and a cake.

So, wanting something like a laptop, even using a birthday gift as an excuse, wouldn't work.

Directly expressing his thoughts would be even more impossible.

"Ha, you said you want to become a light novel author? Don't dream! Go study properly!"

"Hachiman, let's be more down-to-earth. As for being a light novel author, let's talk about it later."

It wasn't hard to guess what his parents' attitude would be.

"There's really no other way..."

Hachiman Hikigaya sighed, pulling out the pocket money and New Year's money he had saved over the years from his piggy bank.

Fortunately, as a transmigrator, relying on his wisdom from his previous life, he had carefully protected his New Year's money from being taken away.

If he were to repeat the same mistake, he would truly have nothing left.

"Hmm? It seems I'm still a bit short."

He counted his savings and found that he was still a bit short of the money needed for the laptop he wanted to buy.

Besides, he couldn't spend all his pocket money, or it would be a headache if he needed to spend money on something later.

"That's right."

Suddenly, Hikigaya's eyes lit up, and he thought of another good idea.

That, of course, was to ask his cute little sister for help!

T/N: I really do like this story, it's not like the other chinese plagiarism novels where there's face-slapping everywhere and chinese national pride that came out of nowhere. I swear, those works make me lose the will to continue reading.

This novel is already completed, and has an MTL, but it was very messy and a lot of things that don't really make sense, but feel free to read it yourself and judge it.

Each chapter is really short, so if there's no special circumstances, I should upload 2 chapters daily after reaching 15k word count. This excludes bonus chapters of course.
