Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Unlucky Girl Hun Lili

At the foot of Sacred Soul Mountain in the Soul Realm.

"Dou Disciple, third stage."

Five glaringly bright characters flashed on the Testing Magic Stone Tablet. The girl expressionlessly withdrew her pale, bloodless hand.

"Hun Lili, Dou Disciple, third stage! Level: Low!"

Beside the Testing Magic Stone Tablet, a figure shrouded in churning black mist glanced at the information displayed on the tablet and announced it in a cold, sinister tone...

As his words fell, malicious and noisy commotion erupted from the surroundings.

"Third stage? Heh, she's dead."

"Yeah, based on previous Bloodline Concentration Test results, the bloodline within her body is so thin it's almost nonexistent. With such low cultivation talent, if she can't find a backer, she probably won't survive today."

The scornful mockery and ridicule from the surroundings fell upon the ears of the girl standing there quietly, yet they failed to stir any emotional fluctuation within her.

She slowly raised her head, revealing a face capable of toppling cities and ruining nations: captivating eyes and brows, a perfectly placed teardrop mole, a delicate and upturned nose. Yet, her utterly bloodless cheeks and lips gave her an eerie aura, as if she were not quite among the living.

"Enough noise!"

However, the figure shrouded in churning black mist casually waved a hand. A pitch-black chain instantly pierced the two loudest individuals like candied haws on a stick. Their bodies exploded, scattering into a mess of bloody pulp. Their souls were seized by the chain and drawn back into the sleeve of the black-mist figure.

He didn't want to waste too much time here. This place was sinister; it was said that Soul Envoys who came here for testing in previous years often went missing.

"I am in need of a maidservant. What do you think?"

The black-mist shrouded figure suddenly spoke.

"Today happens to be my coming-of-age ceremony."

Hun Lili smiled brightly, stunning everyone around her into a daze.

"Come of age, have you?"

Hearing this, the black-mist figure's tone carried a hint of disappointment.

"Although I don't know how much affection my damned biological father might have for me, in principle, a Soul Envoy of your rank has no right to speak to me in such a manner."

A sudden, chilling killing intent flashed across Hun Lili's pale, delicate face.

In the next moment, she fiercely bit the tip of her tongue and spat out a mouthful of essence blood.

Sizzle!

The essence blood hovered in mid-air. As her hand seals changed with extreme speed, it began to twist and churn violently. Simultaneously, a terrifying pressure that targeted the very depths of everyone's souls present instantly suppressed them, rendering them immobile.

"Blood Soul Curse? This is a Soul Fighting Skill only Venerable Elders are qualified to cultivate! Where did you obtain it?"

Watching as that mass of essence blood transformed into a giant crimson skeleton, the Soul Envoy within the black mist asked in utter horror.

"Aside from the Venerable Elders of the Hall of Souls, descendants of the Soul Clan's main bloodline are also qualified to cultivate the complete version of the Blood Soul Art."

A scholarly man in gray-white robes, appearing around thirty years old with a tall, slender build and handsome features, suddenly appeared nearby and gently explained.

"Sir, with such a thin bloodline, how could she possibly be a mainline bloodline descendant? She must have stolen the knowledge from elsewhere. Please subdue her, and I will interrogate her thoroughly, extracting her soul and shattering her spirit!"

The Soul Envoy quickly spoke upon hearing this.

"Are you... getting in my way?"

A crazed and resolute look surfaced in Hun Lili's eyes. The aura around her grew increasingly cold and sinister, and her pale skin slowly cracked open, yet no blood seeped out—a bizarre sight.

"Ali, I told you, I only took the bloodline temporarily. I will return it, and now is the time."

Hun Tian Di shook his head with a smile and threw the scroll in his hand toward Hun Lili.

The scroll shattered, transforming into countless droplets of blood that seeped into Hun Lili's body. Her complexion visibly turned rosy, and the aura of the bloody skeleton grew even more terrifying. Under Hun Lili's control, it extracted the souls of everyone present and stuffed them into its hollow mouth, chewing and swallowing them!

"Ugh... it tastes awful. The souls of the Soul Clan are always so filthy and disgusting."

Hun Lili covered her slightly rosy lips, retching slightly, and frowned.

Yet, the aura around her was no longer that of a three-star Dou Disciple but that of a three-star Dou King.

"What do you mean?"

Hun Lili glared at Hun Tian Di with a grim expression.

She realized that her Divine Grade Bloodline had dropped two whole grades! Now, it could barely maintain itself at the Eighth Grade.

"To gain something, you must lose something. Although your bloodline grade has dropped, a fifteen-year-old Dou King is already far ahead of your peers in the clan. Besides, your bloodline originated from me. If I need to use it, I will take it. As long as you remain a virgin, it will eventually recover."

Hun Tian Di said indifferently.

You're truly despicable, biological father! I really ought to expose you on Brother Xiao Yan!!

Hun Lili nearly couldn't hold back from cursing aloud.

But she couldn't afford to provoke the person before her.

Hun Tian Di, the number one madman on the Dou Qi Continent, sacrificed the bloodlines of his entire clan just to elevate one person to the rank of Dou God.

When she first transmigrated here, she had been so terrified that she fainted on the spot.

Why did others transmigrate as the Medicine Clan's saintess, or as Nalan Yanran, Little Fairy Doctor, or the like, while she ended up with a beast of a father who treated her like a blood slave?

Ever since she awakened her Ninth Grade bloodline at the age of six, she had never seen her biological mother again.

At the age of eight, her bloodline reached the Divine Grade.

Back then, she thought that as someone with a Divine Grade Bloodline, she should at least have some say. So, she asked Hun Tian Di about her mother's whereabouts.

Hun Tian Di said that as the young lady of the Soul Clan and a Divine Grade Bloodline, she didn't need too many familial bonds, nor should she think of searching. Like the Soul Envoys who tested her bloodline, only the dead could keep secrets.

That same year, as a young child, she had her Divine Grade Bloodline forcibly stripped away. For seven whole years, her Dou Disciple cultivation stagnated at three stars. Fortunately, her Soul Power had grown somewhat, giving her some ability to protect herself.

Before the age of eight, the Hall of Souls dealt with the Soul Envoys for her.

After the age of eight, she dealt with the Soul Envoys herself.

Suppressing the intense killing intent in her heart, Hun Lili coldly stared at Hun Tian Di and said:

"So I can recover it, only for you to take it away again?"

Hun Tian Di actually gave it serious thought before saying, "It'll take at least ten years for you to recover. In ten years, I won't need your bloodline anymore, but... these things are hard to say for sure."

"Thank you so much!"

Hun Lili forced a smile, speaking through gritted teeth.

"Hmm, you're welcome."

Hun Tian Di nodded, seemingly completely oblivious to the resentment in the girl's tone.

"I want to leave the Soul Realm."

Hun Lili took a deep breath and said.

"Reason."

Hun Tian Di replied.

"The people here are disgusting, their souls are tainted and hard to swallow. I want to go outside to eat something fresh!"

Hun Lili sounded as indignant as a child who had been starved for seven days.

"I'll have Hun Mie Sheng personally capture the freshest souls for you."

Hun Tian Di finally remembered that the girl before him was his own daughter, casually ordering a Five Star Dou Saint to run errands.

"You're having the King of Trash personally deliver food to me? Are you really my biological father?"

Hun Lili clenched her teeth, tightened her fists, and slightly arched her back.

"Fine. This is the clan token. Seeing this token is the same as seeing Hun Mie Sheng. Take it with you. Whatever you need, you can follow the token's guidance and directly mobilize resources from the Hall of Souls. If you encounter danger, crush it, and Hun Mie Sheng will personally come to you."

Hun Tian Di handed a token to Hun Lili.

"Not you?"

Hun Lili frowned.

"I can't leave."

Hun Tian Di shook his head.

"That's perfect!"

Hun Lili breathed a sigh of relief, turned around, summoned her Dou Qi Wings, and flew out of the Soul Realm.
