I was going to do a Celestial Forge fic, but then I realized something crazy: Forge's mutant ability is almost like a free Tinker power. It's like Inspired Inventor, and once the idea got into my head, it stuck.
My MC will be a rogue, specifically one who hates slavery in all its forms.
Romance options will probably be Bakuda or Canary… maybe both even.
This fic follows an alternate reality version of my Mihawk from my ASOIAF OC fic. The difference is that in this world, power actually scales to One Piece levels, so he is genuinely very strong and can grow stronger. Instead of staying in Planetos after Robert's Rebellion, he used the Door-Door Fruit to cut a hole through his universe and explore the wider cosmos, having grown tired of medieval life. He will be using the Door-Door Fruit for multiversal travel.
His name is Rodrick Mormont. A divergence occurred where he never had the opportunity to go to King's Landing and thus couldn't participate in saving Aerys, meaning he never received Duskendale and remained the spare Mormont heir. He instead became a liberation fighter in Essos, battling to free slaves and end slavery.
He was betrayed by his men after successfully capturing Lys and was poisoned. After extracting the poison, he becomes enraged and disillusioned, deciding to leave them to their fate after executing the traitors and the slaves who stood by and watched. But in his heart, the drums of freedom still beat.
He massacres all the ruling nobles of Lys before leaving his world.
He will still have most of Mihawk's abilities, with a few key differences:
1. He has the Tremor-Tremor Fruit instead of the Gravity-Gravity Fruit.
2. He still has access to all forms of Haki like Mihawk, including the same advanced derivatives.
3. He did not get the A.I. wish, so he has no parallel processing or innate pocket dimension.
4. He still has Yoru, and he fed it the Door-Door Fruit. In this way, he still gains access to a pocket dimension. The fruit has also awakened due to the sword gaining sentience. It can't speak but can communicate through feelings and emotions, understanding him perfectly.
5. He is as strong as the main Mihawk from my ASOIAF fic, meaning he has demigod-level strength, agility, balance, and intelligence, having also undergone an awakening. He can lift well over a thousand pounds and can move and react at supersonic speeds. He can perform flying slashes and understands the "Breath of All Things."
6. Overall, based on his original strength, he is already an S-Class threat, though a weaker one who could be put down—unlike Ash Beast. A low-tier S-Class, but an S-Class all the same.
7. He has no knowledge of anything Worm or Ward related.
8. In this fic, he is about twenty-two years old when he stumbles into the world of Earth Bet from Planetos.
9. In this fic, the Earth Bet multiversal cluster is a distant, relatively unknown, and untouched part of the broader Marvel Omniverse. This allows for a high chance of multiversal travel and meeting our favorite Marvel heroes.
· The reason they haven't found Earth Bet is that the Entities put a barrier around this cluster of universes. The Celestials are aware of what is happening but are watching it unfold as an experiment.
He learns his power comes from his X-Gene, which he was given when he accidentally cut into the realm of Arishem the Judge. Arishem tasked him with staying and observing Earth Bet for at least five years.
There is no X-Gene in Earth Bet, but magic still exists, even if no one in its history ever discovered how to use it. He will still travel the multiverse, though he will be initially locked into the Marvel Multiverse; others like Tensura, One Piece, Naruto, Fate, HxH, DxD, his original HOTD AU universe, JJK, and the Percy Jackson universe will come later.
Arishem the Judge blesses him with a boon as he sends him into the Worm multiversal cluster: the ability to learn, use, and improve upon any energy system or native power of whatever universe he visits. His powers are translated to fit the limits and structure of that universe. He also integrated the Tremor-Tremor Fruit into his bloodline, so it now works more like a Quirk or a mutant ability, thus removing the weakness to seawater. This blessing applies to any Devil Fruit or its equivalent, meaning he can eat Devil Fruits in the One Piece world without fear. This is one of the ways I plan to make him truly powerful later.
For example, if he goes to the Elemental Nations (Naruto), his Tremor-Tremor Fruit will be translated into a Kekkei Genkai. His body and base physical strength remain the same.
This is a deliberate decision to prevent him from easily dominating his multiversal journeys and to keep the story interesting. In the Marvel universe, he has full access to all his inherited and gained powers and can improve them.
Mormont's PRT Ratings (Initial Assessment):
· Brute: 7
· Striker: 7
· Shaker: 9
· Tinker: 6
· Thinker: 3

Obviously, this isn't entirely accurate, but it's what they have observed from him.
Abilities:
1. Tremor-Tremor Fruit (Awakened): Can cause earthquakes on any surface or medium and can be used to affect the world in unique ways. After awakening, it grants the user control over vibrations, directly influencing their surroundings and allowing for even easier use of the ability.
2. Door-Door Fruit (Awakened): Allows the user to create and pass through doors in any surface, including the air. This grants abilities like teleportation, creating a pocket dimension for travel or escape, dodging attacks, creating pathways through solid objects, and even manipulating an opponent's body by turning parts of it into revolving doors. After awakening, the user can travel through dimensions and space easily without needing a physical door, as the ability is more in tune with the conceptual nature of "doors."
3. Haki: A power manifested from an individual's willpower.
· Observation Haki: Allows users to sense others and predict attacks.
· Armament Haki: Creates an "invisible armor" to defend and enhance attacks.
· Conqueror's Haki: A rare type that can overpower the will of others. Advanced forms allow users to see a brief glimpse of the future or deliver internal damage.
4. Forge (Enhanced): His main mutant power is a unique ability to intuitively understand, create, and operate almost any technology. This includes a subconscious comprehension of how machines work, allowing him to build incredible devices from basic parts.
· Technopathy & Technological Genius: An innate, almost empathic connection to machines and technology.
· Intuitive Invention: His subconscious mind can instantly grasp the necessary steps to build a device, even if he can't consciously explain the science behind it.
· This enhanced version allows him to completely understand and replicate any technology after building it once. He can also conceptually "black-box" his creations (which he will always do, as he doesn't trust others with his tech), create technology to grant himself powers or isolate them, and even copy the effects of other powers. The only things he won't black-box are simple technologies he intends to sell commercially.
5. World Attunement: This ability makes him subject to the rules of any universe he arrives in, as if he were a native. It grants him all the positive abilities and enhancements permanently. All his abilities are scaled to a form understood by that reality's concepts. His physical strength is not reduced, but if the world has a higher physical potential, he can train to reach it. This ability also makes him a pinnacle genius (like Gojo Satoru) in any universe he enters.
6. Blank: Grants high resistance to information-gathering abilities, mind reading, and mind control. This can be trained and improved.
Some abilities might not translate properly and could be temporarily sealed until he leaves the universe, with certain exceptions.
Note: For those new to Earth Bet and the Worm universe, I'll try to explain everything during the writing with lore drops so you can catch up and appreciate the characters as I have.
Though personally, I hate the main MC, Taylor Hebert—but is she really the main MC? Wildbow told us that during the Leviathan fight, he used dice rolls to decide who lived or died. He also said that if she had died, the story would have continued with Aegis instead. So, anyone is fair game, even fan favorites.
