Chapter 6
Monolith
The dark obsidian-looking Monolith stood towering over the both of them. It made them want to scream and run away. The only thing stopping the pair from turning and bolting was the sense that it would give them a way to stop the constant onions and bananas. Bruce turned to Pneumono and said, "It isn't raining anymore, and now that I am thinking about it, there was no rain while we were running here either."
"Yeah, I noticed that too, let's read the Monolith as it might provide information on how to stop the deadly rain." Pneumono Stated as they proceeded to read out loud. It read as:
The Banana Gods have been enraged, (because for some reason there is ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
They seek retribution.
Chaos will be unleashed upon the earth,
Spreading panic, havoc, and fear.
All shall perish, you and your kin.
Death will rain down in the form of pink glitter,
Onions and bananas will bring devastation from the sky.
The gods will only be appeased when the world lies in ruin…
Or when the gods themselves have met their end.
"What a touching message, I am in ecstasy," Bruce remarked in a very sarcastic manner.
"The banana gods clearly won't stop trying to kill us unless we kill them," Pneumono said with uncertainty. "But where are we even meant to find these gods?" Bruce asked. The two of them decided to keep searching the apocalyptic streets and parks in case they found something that may hint at the location of the gods. Bruce and Pneumono decided to split up as it would increase their chance of finding something that would lead them to the angry banana gods that the monolith was talking about. The companions continued to search different houses but still without prevail. They searched libraries in case some books could tell them how to kill the gods because they didn't know anything about the topic.
After a while of searching different places and buildings, Bruce cautiously walked inside a townhouse with stuff on the floor and things everywhere. Bruce walked into the kitchen and found a bloody knife on the floor next to a spread-out pile of shattered glass. Behind the knife, was an unassuming pile of pink glitter, which Bruce knew meant a person was hit by a falling onion or banana. But why it was next to a bloody knife, Bruce had no clue, so he continued to search the house for clues. When Bruce walked up the stairs to one of the bedrooms, he saw someone, who wasn't Pneumono, sitting on the bed next to another pile of shattered glass.
