Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Opportunity Arrives!

Splash, splash… the sound of running water echoed continuously in the bathroom.

Delia stood in front of the mirror, washing her hands, her eyes distant and unfocused.

She couldn't snap out of it for a long while.

Really, no one could blame her.

The gap between what she'd learned in theory and what she'd just personally experienced was like a Caterpie trying to take on a Rayquaza—no ordinary person could process that.

Delia's breathing came in quick, shallow bursts. She swallowed unconsciously.

Then she glanced toward the hallway where Yuuto was heading back to the living room.

She gently closed the bathroom door.

Locked it.

Then leaned her back against it.

Her chest heaved dramatically.

After several long seconds…

She cautiously lifted the hem of her hip-hugging skirt and looked down.

"Oh my~ how embarrassing~"

A shy little exclamation escaped her, followed by the faint sound of her foot stamping lightly on the tile.

Though the movement was tiny,

Yuuto still heard it from the living room sofa.

A mischievous smile curved his lips.

A massive shock, huh?

Looks like the effect was even better than expected.

This Delia was far more innocent than he'd imagined.

As Yuuto was savoring the moment,

a soft rustling came from beneath the sofa.

A fluffy little creature crawled out.

Brown fur.

Bushy tail.

Large black eyes staring curiously up at him.

Hmm?

An Eevee?

Why would Delia have an Eevee at home?

"Mrs. Hanako…"

By the time Yuuto called out,

the sound of running water had already turned into the steady hiss of a shower.

"Ah~" Delia's flustered voice floated out from the bathroom: "Um… it rained so heavily last night and I got completely soaked, so I… I'm taking a quick shower. I'll make you something to eat soon."

"Okay," Yuuto replied. "I was just saying—there's an Eevee here."

He looked down at the little Pokémon on the floor.

It tilted its head.

"Bui~"

"Oh, that was a birthday present from a friend," Delia's voice explained over the sound of water. "I never really learned how to train Pokémon properly, so I just let it play around the house by itself."

She briefly explained Eevee's origin.

"Aren't you planning to become a Pokémon Trainer? You can start by playing with it a little."

Yuuto heard her suggestion.

He tentatively reached out his left hand.

Eevee shrank its neck nervously at first.

But it didn't run.

Instead, it cautiously stepped closer and sniffed his fingers.

Yuuto gently placed his hand on its head.

Petting.

Stroking the soft fur.

Eevee quickly relaxed.

It nuzzled affectionately into his palm.

"Bui~"

A contented purr rumbled from its throat.

[Ding!]

The instant Yuuto made contact with Eevee,

a system prompt chimed in his mind.

[Triggered Quest: Obtain your first Pokémon.]

[Quest Reward: Light Ball — Doubles Attack and Special Attack when held by Pikachu.]

A new quest had activated.

Yuuto quickly browsed the system interface.

Obtain your first Pokémon.

It didn't seem overly difficult,

but it wasn't trivial either.

In the Pokémon world,

a person's first Pokémon usually came from one of three sources:

Received officially at a newcomer distribution point after their family had paid sufficient Alliance fees over the years.

Inherited or gifted through family.

Or caught under the guidance of family or a mentor.

The first option was out—Yuuto hadn't paid any fees, so he couldn't qualify for an official starter anytime soon.

The second—he had no family connections here.

Yuuto thought for a moment.

He decided to try his luck with Professor Oak first.

Maybe that would trigger something extra.

Or… he could simply set out with Delia right away,

claim the reward from the travel companion quest,

get the 100% physical enhancement,

and then even catch one wild Pokémon bare-handed if he had to.

Yeah—that was the plan!

Yuuto locked it in.

At the same time, the water in the bathroom shut off.

A few minutes later,

Delia emerged from her shower.

Since it had been a spur-of-the-moment decision,

she hadn't brought a change of clothes into the bathroom.

She could only step out wrapped in a very… limited bath towel.

Truly limited.

The towel barely covered the essentials.

It wrapped tightly around her upper body.

The hem reached only to the very top of her thighs.

Her long, fair legs were completely bare.

Even her knees carried a faint post-shower pink flush.

Fresh from the bath,

Delia radiated an even stronger mature-woman aura.

Utterly captivating.

Her wet brown hair cascaded over her shoulders like dark silk.

Water droplets still clung to the ends,

sliding slowly down her neck,

gliding over her collarbones,

and vanishing into the deep valley framed by the towel.

Her skin glowed with that fresh, steamed redness—

like a perfectly ripe peach.

She carried the clean scent of shower gel,

mingled with her own subtle feminine fragrance.

Delia shyly glanced at Yuuto.

Her face flushed crimson in an instant.

"I… I'm going to change."

She spoke softly,

then hurried toward her bedroom.

As she ran, the hem of the towel fluttered,

briefly revealing half of her beautifully rounded rear.

Fair, smooth, dizzying.

Another feast for Yuuto's eyes.

He watched her disappear upstairs,

then let out a quiet sigh.

Who could possibly resist this?

Eevee suddenly bit gently at the cuff of Yuuto's pants,

as if trying to stop him from staring.

"I'm just worried about your owner," Yuuto said with a chuckle, rubbing Eevee's head. "Afraid she'll trip if she runs too fast."

Eevee tilted its head, released his pant leg,

but still looked up at him with a puzzled expression…

Over the following days,

Delia kept her word perfectly.

She took meticulous care of Yuuto.

Every morning she helped him wash up, changed his bandages, cooked meals, did laundry—attentive in every way.

Their relationship grew warmer and closer by the day.

They often sat together chatting,

watching TV,

sometimes even taking slow walks around Pallet Town with Delia pushing Yuuto in a wheelchair.

Through their daily "deep interactions" and subtle advances,

Yuuto learned a crucial piece of information.

That afternoon,

the two were sitting together on the living room sofa.

Eevee was curled up napping on Delia's lap.

"Actually…" Delia hesitated, then spoke softly: "My family paid all the required Alliance fees back then, so I still have the qualification to receive a starter Pokémon."

"Hmm?" Yuuto looked at her.

"I was always too busy with work and never used it." Delia smiled. "But now that we're going to set out on a journey together, and I already have Eevee… it would be a waste to let the qualification sit unused."

She turned to Yuuto, eyes gentle:

"I'll transfer it to you."

"That way, you can go to Professor Oak's lab and receive your first Pokémon."

Yuuto's heart leaped with joy.

It was like someone handing him a pillow just as he was falling asleep.

"Really? Is that possible?" he asked.

"Of course." Delia nodded. "The process is simple. I'll head to the Alliance office tomorrow and handle the transfer."

Just like that, the "first Pokémon" quest was practically solved.

And the travel companion quest—

it completed naturally a few days later,

while the two were strolling around the outskirts of Pallet Town,

observing wild Pokémon and taking notes together.

The system recognized it as the official beginning of their training journey.

That day they'd gone to the hills behind Pallet Town.

They walked slowly, recording every wild Pokémon they spotted.

Pidgey.

Rattata.

Caterpie.

All very common species.

But Delia took it very seriously,

jotting down their behaviors and habitats in her notebook.

Yuuto cooperated fully with the observations.

As the sun began to set,

they turned back toward home.

[Ding!]

The system chimed.

[Become Delia's travel companion and embark on a Pokémon training journey. Completed.]

[Quest Reward: Basic physical attributes enhanced by 100%.]

A warm current instantly surged through Yuuto's entire body.

He could feel it clearly—

his muscles growing denser and stronger.

Raw power flooding his limbs.

Stamina surging.

Speed sharpening.

Even his senses became noticeably keener.

The lingering ache in his fractured right arm eased dramatically.

His recovery rate accelerated visibly.

"What's wrong?" Delia noticed him pause suddenly.

"Nothing," Yuuto smiled. "I just feel… a lot better all of a sudden."

"Is that so? That's wonderful." Delia beamed happily.

With the massive physical boost,

Yuuto's injuries healed much faster.

He also began a far more aggressive "conquest" of Delia.

Playful verbal teasing.

"Accidental" brushes and touches.

Lingering, flirtatious glances.

Full offensive.

Delia seemed to half-heartedly accept it all,

remaining outwardly calm.

But in truth, her heart was already in turmoil.

Spending every single day with a young man of such powerful physique—

to feel nothing at all would be impossible.

What's more, she basically had to assist Yuuto with using the bathroom, washing, and wiping his body every day.

Seeing and touching him constantly—how could a twenty-eight-year-old Delia possibly remain unaffected?

She was already reacting,

but suppressing it hard,

pretending composure on the surface.

Yet at night, back in her own room,

the tossing and turning,

the sleepless restlessness—

only she knew the full truth.

And all of it finally erupted

one month later,

during the peak of Delia's strongest period of desire.

That day,

as usual, Delia helped Yuuto with the bathroom,

then assisted with his washing.

Afterward,

she fled hurriedly, face burning red.

"I… I'm not feeling well. I'm going back to my room first."

Her voice trembled slightly, eyes darting away.

"Not feeling well?" Yuuto didn't think much of it.

She always looked this shy after helping him.

He assumed it was just embarrassment again.

That night, Yuuto found it hard to fall asleep for a long time.

Delia had been distracted all day,

and the dinner she'd made was ridiculously salty.

Now he was unbearably thirsty.

Unable to stand it any longer,

Yuuto got up to get a drink.

He tiptoed out of his room.

The hallway was dark,

only faint moonlight filtering through the windows.

He was about to head downstairs

when, as he passed Delia's room,

he faintly heard his name.

"Yuuto~…"

The voice was extremely soft.

Yuuto stopped.

He heard more sounds—something that sounded suspiciously like…

He looked closer.

Delia's door wasn't fully closed.

A narrow gap remained.

Warm yellow lamplight spilled through the crack.

Yuuto held his breath and peered inside.

In the room,

Delia sat on the chair in front of her dressing table, back to the door.

Her long brown hair cascaded down like a dark waterfall.

She wore only a thin, silky slip nightgown—

almost translucent.

Perhaps wanting to shift position,

the chair had swiveled slightly toward the door.

Now Yuuto had a direct view.

And at last he confirmed exactly what Delia was doing.

He knew then—

the opportunity to claim Elementary Aura Power

had finally arrived!
