Ella burst into the backyard playground, newspaper in hand, and approached Cassandra and Christopher. "Guys, have you seen this? A village boy named Adrien has been missing for six months. They think fiends killed him."
Christopher scoffed. "Who cares about some commoner? He's irrelevant to society."
Cassandra's eyes flashed with anger. "That's horrible, Chris. As future champions, we should care about everyone's safety, royal or common. Knock it off!"
Ella nodded in agreement. "Cassandra's right. Besides, I think Adrien's still alive. He's an orphan."
Cassandra's curiosity piqued. "But they've searched the entire forest. Where could he be?"
Ella's eyes sparkled with determination. "That's what I aim to find out. There's no concrete evidence he was devoured. No blood, no signs of struggle... This goes deeper, especially with the forest's dark history."
Christopher raised an eyebrow. "You want to investigate that creepy forest? Are you insane?"
Cassandra suggested, "Maybe we should bring an adult?"
Ella shook her head. "They'll never agree. I'm a skilled detective, and I'll uncover something. Trust me."
Christopher stood up, exasperated. "You're crazy, Ella. Don't drag Cassandra into this."
As he walked away, Ella turned to Cassandra with a mischievous grin. "So, are you in?"
Cassandra hesitated. "What if something bad happens? Is it worth the risk?"
Ella's confidence was infectious. "I have a good feeling. Let's do it tonight. We'll teleport to save time."
Cassandra nodded. "Fine, let's do it."
Ella beamed. "Thanks!"

Meanwhile, in the village, Kade trained intensively, his determination palpable. Lily sat nearby, lost in thought, gazing at Adrien's drawings. Her sorrow was evident.
Kade noticed and approached her. "Lily, please don't dwell on this. It's tearing us apart. We must accept Adrien's gone and move forward."
Lily's eyes welled up with tears.
Kade's voice softened. "my heart still aches thinking about Adrien. But I know he'd want us to keep going, to be stronger. That's why I'm training every day, pushing myself to the limit.
I won't let what happened to him happen to us. I won't let fear win. We have to stand up, stand tall, and protect each other.
This cruel world may have taken Adrien, but it won't take our hope, our courage. We'll rise above, together.
Let's make Adrien proud. Let's show the world we won't be broken. We'll become stronger, braver, and kinder. For Adrien, for us, and for every tear we've cried."
Lily's tears flowed freely as Kade's words struck a chord.
"You're right," she whispered, wiping her tears. "We must become strong. If we don't, we can't survive... for Adrien's sake."
Kade nodded, his resolve mirrored in Lily's newfound determination.
——
Night descended, and Ella and Eira snuck into Cassandra's room, whispering, "Are you ready?" Cassandra nodded, conjuring a shimmering portal to the forbidden forest.
As they stepped through, the darkness enveloped them. Eira trembled. "It's so scary... I don't want to be here."
Ella reassured her, "We'll be fine. Stay close."
Cassandra lit a torch, her voice firm. "Shh, quiet. We don't know what's lurking."
As they ventured deeper, three fiends emerged from the shadows. Eira's scream pierced the air. The fiends chased them, separating the trio.
Eira stumbled, falling to the ground. A figure appeared, defeating the fiend and asking, "Are you okay?" Eira nodded, still shaking. The mysterious savior vanished into the darkness.
Meanwhile, Ella unleashed her rabbit magic. "Rabbit magic, super rabbit kick"
"Kya! Take that, monster!" With a powerful kick, she sent the fiend's head flying.
Cassandra employed her angel magic "Angel magic, divine inferno",
reducing the fiends to ash. "I need to find the others." She called out, "Ella! Eira!"
Cassandra faced a swift fiend, but her powerful aura shielded her. The fiend attacked the barrier, and Cassandra prepared to defend herself. However, she noticed the fiend's human features and tears.
"Run, please... I don't want to hurt you. Tell my family I love them," the fiend cried, its eyes locked onto Cassandra.
She saw beyond the monster, recognizing the lost boy, Adrien. "Who are you?" she asked.
"I'm... I'm... Adri..." A deep voice interrupted, "I'm Vyltari."
Cassandra hugged the fiend, surprising it. "Remember who you are, where you're from, your dreams, and how you want to live. This is your body; don't let anything control it. Take control; be who you really are. I believe in you."
The fiend screamed in multiple voices, remembering everything: the church, home, Kade, Lily, the nuns, and the champions. "She's right,I can't give up now! I'm Adrien and I'm gonna become an elite champion " He broke through the curse, regaining his true form.
"I did it!" Adrien exclaimed, kneeling and crying. "Who are you?" he asked Cassandra.
"I'm Cassandra Chryses. Nice to have you back, Adrien," she replied with a smile.
Adrien's teary eyes met Cassandra's. "I'll forever be grateful. You're an angel."
Ella arrived, ready to attack, but Cassandra stopped her. "Look at him," she said.
Ella's eyes widened. "It's Adrien! How did you find him?"
"I'll explain later," Cassandra replied.
Eira smiled. "He's the one who saved me earlier."
Adrien smiled back, making Eira blush.
Cassandra suggested, "Let's take Adrien home." She gave him her cloak
"Nothing would make me happier," Adrien said, smiling.
——
As they entered the village, Adrien's excitement turned to horror. The orphanage, once a sanctuary, lay in ruins. Blood-soaked walls and lifeless bodies met their gaze. The brutality of the fiends' attack left them stunned.
Adrien's eyes widened as he stumbled through the carnage. His friends, his family, lay slaughtered. He crumpled to the ground, overcome with grief.
Mother Helen and Sister Martha, the nurturing voices of his childhood, lay motionless.
"No... no... no... This can't be. (stammers) Mother Superior... Sister Martha... Emma... Tommy... Sarah... (names his friends)
(Covers his mouth, horrified)
"Why is there so much blood? Why are you all... (can't say "dead") ...not moving?
(Takes a step back, eyes wide with fear)
"This is a bad dream. I want to wake up. Please, God, make it stop.
(Sees a nun's body, rushes to her side)
"M-Mother Superior... (whispers) don't leave me. Please don't leave me.
(Holds her hand, tears streaming down)
"You always said God is love. But where was love today? Why did He let this happen?
(Looks around, sees the other children)
"My friends... my friends... (sobs uncontrollably)
"I'll kill them! I'll kill them all!!" he vowed, his voice shaking with rage and sorrow.
"Those monsters... they did this. They took everything from me. (fists clenched)
I vow, on the memory of those I loved, to make sure they pay. I'll find them, no matter what it takes. I'll make them suffer for what they've done.
(Tears streaming down, voice shaking with determination)
I'll grow strong, I'll learn to fight. I'll hunt them down, every last one. They'll never know peace again.
(Voice rises, fueled by anger and resolve)
I'll make sure no one else suffers like this. No more children will cry like I am. No more families will be torn apart.
(Pounds fist on the ground)
I swear it. On my heart, on my soul. I'll avenge you, dear ones. I'll bring justice to this world.
(Takes a deep breath, resolve hardened)
I'll start today. I'll find a way. I won't rest until they're eradicated.
(Firmly)
This is my promise. This is my oath. Rest in peace "
The girls enveloped him in a comforting hug, sharing his pain.
——
Adrien wiped away his tears and burst out of the building at superhuman speed. He spotted fiends attacking Sister Ruby and two children. Fuelled by rage, he sprinted towards them, ripping the fiends apart.
Sister Ruby, Kade, and Lily witnessed Adrien's sudden appearance and were stunned. "Adrien?" Sister Ruby asked, disbelief etched on her face. "Is that really you?"
Adrien's eyes welled up with tears. "It's me... I'm sorry for everything." The group shared a heartfelt reunion, embracing each other tightly.
Lily whispered, "We thought we lost you."
Kade's relief turned to playful teasing, "Where were you, scumbag?"
Adrien smiled faintly, "I'm here now. That's all that matters."
Just then, guards and champions from the royal capital arrived, responding to the village's distress call. They were met with the gruesome aftermath of the fiend attack.
Their gaze fell upon Ella, Cassandra, and Eira. "What brings you girls to this village?" one of the champions asked.
Ella stepped forward, "We were trying to help. We stumbled upon Adrien and helped him break a curse."
The champions exchanged curious glances, intrigued by the girls' story.
——
Morning dawned at the royal capital. Queen Lorelei summoned Ella, Cassandra, and Eira to the throne room. Her expression was stern.
"What were you thinking, venturing into the forbidden forest alone at night? Do you realize the danger you faced?" she scolded.
Cassandra stepped forward, "Mother, we were trying to help. It won't happen again."
Queen Lorelei's concern softened slightly. "I appreciate your intentions, but not at the risk of your lives. You're just children."
Ella countered, "Aunt, size doesn't matter. What counts is the impact. We saved a life that adults couldn't. Let's focus on the positive."
Eira added, "We learned a valuable lesson, Your Majesty . We'll be more cautious."
Queen Lorelei's expression softened. "You're right. I'm proud of you all. But please, don't worry me like that again. I couldn't bear losing you."
She opened her arms, embracing the girls tightly.
——
Adrien awakened, chained in a courtroom. The judge declared, "He's awake."
Confused, Adrien asked, "Where am I?"
"You're about to be judged," the judge replied.
Adrien scanned the room, seeing anger and sorrow etched on faces. Kade, Lily, and Sister Ruby sat together.
The judge began, "Answer truthfully. Where were you for six months?"
"The forbidden forest," Adrien replied.
"But searches yielded nothing. How did you remain hidden?"
"I found a cursed box, releasing a trapped fiend spirit. It possessed me, taking control. I felt lost inside my soul and trapped in my own body, all I ever saw was darkness,it sometimes wanted me to kill humans but I fought back, ensuring it wouldn't harm humans. I confined it to the forest, hoping nobody ever came there just to stay safe."
The judge scrutinized Adrien's transformed appearance. "You're no longer human. Fiends are our greatest enemies."
Adrien pleaded, "I won't harm anyone. I'll protect people. I'm not a fiend. I can control myself."
The judge remained unconvinced. "We can't risk it."
Adrien vowed, "I'll become the elite champion, eradicating fiends."
The judge scoffed, "You possess no magic. How will you achieve this?"
Adrien's determination burned brighter.
"I know what I am. I know what I can do. (pauses, looking down at his hands)
Some might call me cursed, others might fear me. But I won't let that define me.
(Looks up, determination in his eyes)
I want to protect those who can't defend themselves. The innocent, the kind, and the weak. They deserve to be safe.
(Takes a deep breath)
My powers may be dark, but my heart isn't. I won't use them to harm anyone. I promise.
(Pauses, as if making a vow)
I'll find a way to control them, to wield them for good. I'll be the shield that guards the innocent.
(Looks around, as if seeking understanding)
I know it won't be easy. I'll face those who fear me, who want to use me for their own gain. But I won't give in.
(Jaws clenched)
I'll prove that even the darkest of powers can be used for light. I'll show them that I'm not a monster.
(Firmly)
I'll protect, I'll serve, and I'll keep the darkness at bay."
The judge delivered the verdict: "You'll be held captive for five years. If you prove worthy, you'll join the fight against evil. Otherwise, execution awaits."
Adrien promised, "I won't disappoint. Captivity won't hinder my training. I'll become the elite champion."
As he was led away, Adrien shared a poignant glance with Kade, Lily, and Sister Ruby.
——
In captivity at just 10 years old, Adrien refused to give up. He utilized nearby rocks for weightlifting, crafted a makeshift weapon for training, and performed various exercises to strengthen his body.
Cassandra visited, bringing homemade soup and bread. "I thought you might need some food. It's my favorite soup."
Adrien's eyes lit up. "You're so kind." He savored each bite. "Wow, this is amazing!"
Cassandra smiled. "What's one dish you've always wanted to try?"
Adrien thought. "I've heard ice cream and chocolate are incredible."
Cassandra disappeared into the kitchen, returning with a treat. Adrien's first taste of ice cream and chocolate left him enchanted.
"This is the best thing I've ever tasted! No wonder they're expensive."
Cassandra chuckled. "My favorite flavor is banana ice cream."
Adrien's curiosity piqued, "Oh, wow! I wish I could try it."
Cassandra's eyes sparkled. "I have an idea. With so many flavors out there, I'll bring a new one each week. In five years, you'll have tried them all!"
Adrien's face lit up. "That's lovely, thank you."
Their warm smiles shared a promise of hope and friendship amidst adversity.
——
Cassandra arrived the next day with a warm blanket. "Hey, I brought this to keep you cozy." She handed it through the cell.
"Thank you," Adrien said, grateful.
"Sister Ruby and the others?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
"Don't worry, they're safe. We found them a new home in town," Cassandra reassured. "But, unfortunately, no one's allowed to visit you."
Adrien's curiosity piqued, "How are you here?"
Cassandra winked, "I have my ways."
She noticed Adrien's wall drawing of his orphanage family. "That's beautiful."
"It makes me happy to remember them," Adrien said.
Cassandra returned with a sketchbook and pencils. "Draw in this whenever you want."
Adrien's eyes welled up. "Thank you, Princess."
As he drew Cassandra, he spoke from his heart:
"Wherever I am, I'll never forget you,. If I'm reborn a thousand times,I hope we meet again in my every life. I want to be your friend forever."
Cassandra's eyes misted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll always be here for you, Adrien."
For years, she visited daily, ensuring Adrien ate, trained, and remained hopeful. Her unwavering support fueled his determination.
Adrien's sketchbook filled with vibrant drawings, each one a testament to their unbreakable bond.
As the days turned into years, Adrien grew stronger, his spirit unshaken.
