Chapter 10 - Episode 10 – The Last Gambit

Night covered the city like a heavy cloak. Torches flickered along the castle walls as soldiers prepared for the attack everyone knew was coming.

Kael stood on the highest balcony, silent, watching the dark horizon. The wind moved through his black coat as clouds slowly gathered above him.

Lyssa approached quietly."You knew this would happen, didn't you?" she asked.

Kael didn't turn. "Of course. Every move they made… every whisper, every betrayal… it was all predictable."

Lightning flashed far away.

"The manipulator thinks she's cornered me," Kael continued calmly. "But in truth, she walked straight into the trap."

Before Lyssa could respond, the castle gates burst open. Shadows flooded the courtyard as the manipulator and her followers entered.

At their center stood the woman who had been twisting Lyssa's mind for so long.

She smiled coldly."So this is the great Stormborn. The villain who hides behind thunder."

Kael finally turned.

His expression was calm. Too calm.

"You spent weeks trying to break Lyssa's trust," he said quietly. "Trying to make her fear me."

The woman laughed. "And it worked."

Lyssa stepped forward beside Kael.

"Not anymore."

For the first time, the manipulator's smile faltered.

Thunder cracked across the sky.

Kael lifted his hand and the storm answered instantly. Wind roared across the courtyard as lightning illuminated the battlefield.

"You wanted the monster," Kael said, voice echoing through the storm.

"So I'll give you one."

The battle exploded.

Lightning crashed down like spears as Kael moved through the enemies with terrifying precision. Every strike was controlled, calculated, unstoppable.

But he wasn't fighting with rage.

He was ending things.

The manipulator tried to escape through the chaos, but Kael appeared in front of her before she could move.

"You lost the moment you targeted Lyssa," he said quietly.

The storm around him slowly faded.

Guards surrounded the defeated enemies as silence returned to the courtyard.

For the first time in a long time, the city was calm.

Lyssa looked at Kael, the lightning gone from his hands.

"Is it finally over?" she asked.

Kael looked toward the quiet sky.

"Yes," he said softly.

"The storm is ending."

But deep inside, Kael knew one last choice still remained… and that choice would decide how the world would remember the Stormborn.
