The music in the club had become softer near their table.
The gang had gathered around one couch and a few chairs.
Freya suddenly clapped her hands.
"Okay this is boring."
Rakki raised an eyebrow.
"What do you want?"
Freya grinned mischievously.
"Truth or dare."
Ella laughed.
"Oh no."
Grace shook her head but smiled.
Rose looked excited.
"Let's do it."
Soon everyone formed a circle.
A bottle was placed in the middle of the table.
Freya spun it dramatically.
The bottle slowed…
And stopped.
Pointing at Keifer.
Rakki immediately shouted,
"OHHH!"
Freya leaned forward.
"Truth or dare?"
Keifer smirked casually.
"Dare."
Ella raised an eyebrow.
"Brave."
Freya looked around the circle like a villain planning something.
Then her eyes landed on Rose.
A slow smile appeared on her face.
"Okay."
She pointed at Keifer.
"I dare you to kiss Rose."
The group exploded with reactions.
Rakki laughed loudly.
"That's brutal."
Ella covered her mouth.
Grace sighed.
Rose blushed slightly but smiled.
Jay froze.
Her fingers tightened around the edge of her glass.
For a moment no one spoke.
Keifer leaned back in his chair.
Thinking.
Then he shrugged.
"Fine."
The group cheered.
Rose leaned closer shyly.
Keifer turned toward her.
But as he moved closer…
Something happened.
Across the table…
Jay was sitting very still.
Her eyes were fixed on them.
Not angry.
Not dramatic.
Just quiet.
But there was something in her expression.
Something painful.
Something vulnerable.
And for a second…
Keifer's chest tightened.
His mind flashed with memories.
Jay laughing beside him under the tree.
Jay throwing snacks at him.
Jay calling his name every five minutes.
Jay crying when he stopped talking to her.
His breath slowed.
He was inches away from Rose now.
The entire group leaned forward.
"Do it!"
"Come on!"
Rose closed her eyes slightly.
But Keifer suddenly stopped.
He pulled back.
The group gasped.
Freya frowned.
"What happened?"
Keifer leaned back casually.
"I changed my mind."
Rakki groaned.
"You can't do that!"
Freya protested.
"It's a dare!"
Keifer smirked slightly.
"Then I fail."
Ella looked at him suspiciously.
"You were literally about to kiss her."
Keifer shrugged.
"Not feeling it."
Rose looked slightly surprised but didn't seem upset.
"It's okay."
Freya rolled her eyes dramatically.
"Worst player ever."
Everyone started arguing playfully again.
But across the table…
Jay quietly looked down at her hands.
Her heart was still racing.
Because for a moment there…
She really thought he was going to do it.
And strangely…
She was relieved that he didn't. 💙
