Chapter 30 - 30

Morning passed quietly in the mansion.

Jay eventually got up, washed her face, and tried to calm her racing heart.

She still couldn't stop thinking about what she heard.

"You're still my queen."

The words kept echoing in her head.

She shook her head, trying to act normal.

After getting ready, she slowly walked downstairs.

She expected awkwardness.

Maybe silence.

Maybe distance again.

But when she reached the dining hall…

Keifer was already there.

Sitting at the table.

Drinking coffee.

Scrolling through his phone.

Completely normal.

Like nothing had happened last night.

Jay stopped near the doorway.

Watching him.

For a moment she wondered…

Did he remember?

Did he realize she had heard him?

Keifer looked up suddenly.

He saw her.

And immediately grinned.

"Finally woke up?"

Jay blinked.

His tone was casual.

Teasing.

Just like old times.

"You sleep like a log."

Jay walked slowly toward the table.

Trying to read his face.

"You brought me here."

Keifer shrugged.

"Yeah."

"You fell asleep in the club like a grandma."

Jay frowned slightly.

"I am not a grandma."

Keifer smirked.

"You were snoring."

Jay's eyes widened.

"I was not!"

Keifer laughed.

"I'm kidding."

Jay stared at him suspiciously.

But he looked completely relaxed.

Normal.

No tension.

No sadness.

He pushed a plate toward her.

"Eat."

Jay sat down quietly.

Still watching him.

"You should've woken me."

Keifer shrugged again.

"You looked tired."

Jay picked up the spoon slowly.

The silence between them felt strange.

Because Keifer was behaving like everything was fine.

Like nothing emotional had happened last night.

After a moment he leaned back in his chair.

Looking at her with a small smile.

"You're staring a lot."

Jay quickly looked down at her plate.

"I'm not."

Keifer chuckled.

"You are."

Jay muttered softly,

"I'm just thinking."

Keifer raised an eyebrow.

"Dangerous activity."

Jay almost smiled.

And that was when she realized something.

Keifer had become normal again.

The playful Keifer.

The teasing Keifer.

The comfortable Keifer.

Like the distance between them had quietly disappeared overnight.

Jay looked at him again.

He was casually drinking coffee.

Talking about random things.

But deep inside…

Jay knew something important had changed.

Because even though he acted normal again…

There was something softer in the way he looked at her now. 💙
