Chapter 11 – Waiting for the Results

After submitting his project to the National Student Innovation Challenge, Anshul's life gradually returned to a more normal rhythm.

At least on the surface.

School continued as usual. Classes, homework, and exams filled most of the day. His teachers were beginning to notice his improvement as well.

One afternoon, during mathematics class, his teacher paused beside his desk.

"Anshul."

"Yes, sir?"

"I've noticed your recent test scores."

Anshul looked up calmly.

"They've improved a lot."

Anshul smiled slightly. "I've been studying more."

The teacher nodded approvingly.

"Keep it up. Students who show consistent improvement usually achieve the most."

After the class ended, Rahul immediately appeared beside him.

"You're becoming the teacher's favorite."

"That's not true."

Rahul grinned. "You just don't notice it."

The two of them walked out of the classroom together.

"So," Rahul asked, "any news about the competition?"

"Not yet."

"When will the results come?"

"Probably another week or two."

Rahul sighed dramatically.

"The waiting must be killing you."

But in reality, Anshul wasn't feeling anxious.

Because even if he didn't win the competition, the project had already served an important purpose.

It proved he could build something useful.

And more importantly, it helped him learn.

That evening when he returned home, he once again turned on the desktop computer in his room.

But this time he wasn't opening the StudyFlow code.

Instead, he began researching something new.

Universities in California.

San Francisco had several well-known institutions.

Some were extremely prestigious.

Others were slightly more accessible for international students.

But they all had one thing in common.

High standards.

Anshul carefully read through admission requirements.

Academic grades.

English proficiency tests.

Extracurricular achievements.

Recommendation letters.

The process looked complicated.

But it wasn't impossible.

Especially if he started preparing early.

He opened another document and began organizing information.

Required exams.

Application deadlines.

Scholarship programs.

As he continued researching, a realization slowly formed in his mind.

Getting accepted into a university abroad was only one part of the challenge.

The bigger obstacle was money.

Studying in the United States was expensive.

Even with scholarships, living expenses would still be significant.

Anshul leaned back in his chair thoughtfully.

Which meant he needed another plan.

Something that could generate income.

Something that could grow over time.

His eyes slowly drifted to the StudyFlow icon on the desktop.

The software had already gained several hundred users.

It wasn't making money yet.

But with the right improvements, it could become a real product.

Maybe even a small startup.

Anshul opened the program again and studied the interface carefully.

What if he expanded it?

Added premium features.

Created versions for schools.

Perhaps even partnered with educational institutions.

The possibilities were interesting.

But he quickly reminded himself of something important.

Don't rush.

First focus on building a strong foundation.

Success rarely came overnight.

As he continued thinking about future possibilities, a new email notification appeared on the screen.

The sender made his heart beat slightly faster.

National Student Innovation Challenge Committee

Anshul immediately opened the message.

His eyes scanned the text quickly.

For a moment, he remained completely still.

Then a faint smile slowly appeared on his face.

StudyFlow had successfully passed the first evaluation round.

The message explained that his project had been selected among the top submissions.

The next stage would include a detailed review and online presentation.

Anshul leaned back in his chair.

"So it begins…"

This was only the first step.

But it was an important one.

Because it proved something.

His efforts were being noticed.

And if he continued moving forward like this…

San Francisco might not remain just a distant dream.

It might actually become his future.
