Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Fu Yu's Deduction

Boom—

Using the last trace of power from the burning of Fenghuang Down, Fu Yu activated his own Spirit and used that momentary burst of strength to blast open his own grave.

"Cough, cough."

Fu Yu climbed out of his grave in a somewhat disheveled state. The flying dust made him instinctively cough twice before he stood firmly on the ground.

Because he had been recovering from his injuries, Fu Yu's physical age remained at six years old; this would be the same even if his bone age were tested.

Feeling his body fully restored, Fu Yu looked himself over.

Sizzle!

Suddenly, a stream of gold-red flame erupted from Fu Yu's hand, while a majestic, Phoenix-like bird spread its wings and emerged from his back.

"So this is the Garuda Spirit formed by combining with the garuda super mutation factor. Not bad at all."

"Innate full spirit power, Extreme Fire, and that unparalleled power of self-healing."

"Moreover, during the time spent repairing my injuries, my body seems to have become much stronger than before."

Fu Yu clenched his fists tightly, feeling the powerful strength coursing through his body.

Besides this, Fenghuang Down carried many other things, but clearly, they couldn't be received and processed in a short time.

Fu Yu looked at the graveyard he had made a mess of and felt a bit embarrassed.

Walking to the tombstones in silence, he carefully wiped the dirt off the gravestones of his two elders.

"Uncle Zhang, Aunt Yu, rest assured. I won't let a single person who should pay the price go free, especially the Sea Gods Pavilion and the Holy Spirit Cult."

"I will use their blood as a sacrifice for you."

If one didn't look too closely, many problems wouldn't be discovered.

But when combined with Zhang Lexuan's Moon Spirit, everything became clear.

In the original three Empires of the Douluo Continent, where could there be a Legacy of a Moon Spirit? Even if it were a mutation, it couldn't possibly be so perfect and flawless.

The most famous celestial-type Spirit mutations in the three Empires were Huang Jinxu, the Heavenly Fiend Douluo of the Star Luo Empire, and the Guardian God of the Dou Ling Empire, the Heavenly Sun Douluo.

Because of the characteristics of the Fiend Star of Solitude, all of Huang Jinxu's relatives met untimely deaths, and he didn't have a single friend; his reputation was widely known throughout the four great Empires.

While the Heavenly Sun Spirit of the Dou Ling Empire's Heavenly Sun Douluo wasn't as terrifying as the Fiend Star of Solitude, it also had its side effects.

The quality of the Heavenly Sun Spirit was extremely high, having mutated with extraordinary energy explosion characteristics, but it was far inferior to the Sun Martial Soul of the Sun Moon Empire in terms of inheritance and Spirit stability.

Aside from the Heavenly Sun Douluo himself, none of his descendants ever inherited this Spirit.

Apart from these two, there were no other famous pure celestial-type Spirits in the original three Empires of the Douluo Continent; most were Tool Spirits that borrowed the power of the stars, similar to the Star Crown Martial Soul of the Star Luo Empire's imperial family.

"It seems that because of Sister Lexuan's rising fame as a Genius, someone from Shrek came to investigate."

"It makes sense. Sister Lexuan made a Breakthrough to become a level thirty Spirit Elder at the age of eleven. With such talent, the teachers at Shrek would definitely want to recruit her into the academy."

"After reporting it, such a perfect Moon Spirit would definitely attract the attention of the Sea Gods Pavilion. Others might not be clear about the Moon Spirit, but those elders certainly are."

As old rivals who had been competing with the Sun Moon Empire for thousands of years, Shrek had long ago figured out the characteristics of the Sun Moon Empire's major Spirits.

And why was it called the Sun Moon Empire? Naturally, it was named after the Sun and Moon Spirits that had been stably inherited by the imperial family for ten thousand years.

As for the other inherited Spirit, the Purple Radiant Exterminating Dragon, it wasn't known to many.

Because the inheritance of this Spirit was extremely unstable, relying entirely on the occasional atavism of imperial family members.

Not to mention that in this era, the Sun Moon Empire also had a Guardian God with a Moon Spirit.

Although he was only level ninety-four, his combat power could rival a Limit Douluo—the Silver Moon Douluo, Kong Deming.

Therefore, Fu Yu had reason to suspect that the Zhang family being attacked by Evil Soul Masters was definitely inextricably linked to Shrek Academy.

Just as the Sea Gods Pavilion knew the secrets of the Moon Spirit, Fu Yu also knew about the murky relationship between Mu En and the Holy Spirit Cult.

It might not have been personally planned or directed by Mu En, but there were far too many ways to achieve the same result.

The harvest from doing so was also quite massive. In the last years of his life, he could not only find a child bride for his great-great-grandson but also leave a Pavilion Master for Shrek Academy who was guaranteed to become a Limit Douluo.

The price was merely a bit of guilt; why wouldn't he do it?

In any case, a slight flaw in his state of mind could no longer affect Mu En, who was currently unable to Cultivate.

As Fu Yu thought of this, his disgust for Shrek Academy almost formed a physiological reaction.

Exhaling heavily, his palm brushed over Yu Qingya's name as he said softly.

"Aunt Yu, don't worry. Xiao Yu will definitely bring Sister Lexuan home."

But all of this was just a conspiracy theory Fu Yu had constructed based on his Remembrance of his past life; to corroborate it, he needed other evidence.

And Fu Yu just happened to know where to find it.

Under the dual influence of Fenghuang Down and Garuda, Fu Yu also possessed a special talent for a photographic memory, though it wasn't as terrifying or severe as Fu Hua's hyperthymesia.

Every scene from the past was like a book that could be flipped through, available for use at any time.

However, before that, Fu Yu still had to clean up the mess he had made, lest Zhang Lexuan be startled by this scene when she came to pay her respects next year.

Knowing that a relative's grave had been desecrated, Fu Yu knew Zhang Lexuan would definitely not be able to accept it.

Star Dou Great Forest, the periphery of the Lake of Life.

A small golden three-eyed lion, which had been eating brain matter with a face full of happiness, looked up with a face full of disbelief.

A large, red, three-headed dog nearby, who was feeling a bit bored, immediately perked up at this sight, its voice deafening.

"What's wrong, Auspicious Beast? Is this brain not tasty? It's fine, Uncle Chi Wang will go catch another for you."

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion shook its small head quickly, then, not even caring about the unfinished brains, ran straight toward the inner part of the Lake of Life.

"Uncle Di Tian, I have something big to tell you!"

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion shouted as it ran, and its urgent manner also called over all the Vicious Beasts near the Lake of Life.

At that moment, an emerald-green figure of peerless beauty appeared in front of the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, reaching out to pick up the running little lion.

"Aunt Bi Ji, let me go quickly, I have something to find Uncle Di Tian for."

The other Vicious Beasts also appeared now: the Demon Eye Magic Tree Ten Thousand Demon King, the Dark Golden Dreadclaw Bear Xiong Jun, the Hell Magic Dragon King Zi Ji, and the Three-Headed Scarlet Mastiff Chi Wang who was following behind the Auspicious Beast.

And just as the Three-Eyed Golden Lion was struggling in Bi Ji's gentle embrace, a black figure appeared.

Ranked first on the Continent's Vicious Beast list, the eight hundred and ninety thousand year old Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King, Di Tian!

"Alright, Auspicious Beast, I'm here. What big thing do you want to tell me?"

Di Tian's gaze was soft, looking at the rowdy Auspicious Beast as if looking at his own child, with no extra emotion on his face.

However, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's next words made his expression freeze.

"I sensed that the future fate of the Douluo Continent has undergone a huge change, and I also saw a very special scene."
