The sunlight hit the penthouse floor, reflecting off the glass towers of Taipei. Kenneth woke up with Nicole in his arms, but the peace was short-lived. A key turned in the front lock.
Nicole's father, Tan Sri Benjamin Tan, walked in, expecting to see his daughter getting ready for class. Instead, he found a pair of men's shoes in the hallway and Kenneth sitting at the breakfast bar, nursing a cup of coffee.
"You," Benjamin hissed, his face turning a dangerous shade of purple. "How did you find us? I gave your father enough money to keep his mouth shut!"
Kenneth stood up, not flinching. "You didn't give him enough to make me stop loving your daughter, sir. And you certainly didn't tell me I had a daughter of my own."
