Synopsis
CHAOS REIGN: Chronicles of the Fallen Blood "In a world forged by magic and baptized in blood, truth is not salvation - it is the deadliest weapon of all." The world trembles on the edge of annihilation. Dimensional borders splinter like shattered glass, ripping open the fabric of reality. From those fractures, the Demon Clans emerge - not as mere invaders, but as a spreading plague, devouring kingdoms that once stood proud and untouchable. Amid the chaos walks Kaera. A hybrid. Half human. Half demon. A forbidden existence born of blood that should never have mixed. Haunted by the remnants of a fractured past, she carries a single purpose etched into her soul: to find her father - Astaroth, a name spoken in whispers, a legend swallowed by darkness. At her side stands Eira, a Magic Archer of the Elven race - sharp-eyed, disciplined, and far more dangerous than her quiet composure suggests. Together, they traverse broken continents and forgotten realms, chasing the threads of an ancient conspiracy - a truth powerful enough to collapse the very system that governs their world. But when blood holds the power to save... and to destroy - Is Kaera the salvation this dying world seeks? Or the catastrophe it was destined to fear?

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: MEETING IN THE DARK FOREST

The wind that swept across the edge of the ancient relic grounds carried an unpleasant stench-rusted iron thick with the rot of dying roots.

Beneath a dim orange sky, as though the world were being watched by a weary colossal eye, The Burnt Grove stood as a silent witness to the devastation that once consumed it.

In the suffocating stillness, an elven girl stood calmly.

Eira.

Her cloak swayed gently with the languid wind.

Slowly, she lowered herself onto the fractured earth, allowing her slender fingers to brush against the exposed ancient roots pushing through the cracked soil.

Her eyes closed.

She no longer saw with sight alone. Instead, she sank her awareness beneath the crust of the earth-into the hidden currents flowing through it. The faint resonance pulsed far below.

"Echo Vein... show me the way," she whispered softly, her voice carried off between the skeletal trees.

Then-

The silence was pierced by a foreign presence.

Too subtle to be called footsteps. More like a shadow gliding across the ground.

Yet heavy enough to make the fine hairs along Eira's arms rise.

Schliinnk.

The cold, metallic whisper of a blade drawn from its sheath.

Eira opened her eyes slowly.

Before her stood a girl radiating an entirely different presence.

Dark brown hair tied into a neat bun, partially concealed beneath a black cloak that seemed to drink in the surrounding light. A red kimono fluttered faintly against the gray, lifeless forest-an almost violent contrast.

Kaera.

Her deep blue eyes pierced through Eira-and beyond her.

The air began to hum.

A killing aura, sharp with the scent of blood, spread outward like an invisible tide.

"Don't touch those roots. They're bait."

Kaera's voice was cold. Empty of inflection.

Eira rose to her feet without visible alarm. She remained composed-as though this encounter had always been inevitable.

"I know," she replied evenly. "and I'm not here to destroy anything."

Kaera stepped forward.

Each movement carried restrained intent-like a blade hovering just short of flesh.

"Everyone who's said like that... has turned to ash."

The words slid out flatly.

What followed was worse.

The air around Kaera seemed to freeze.

Eira's instincts flared.

The Echo Vein, still active beneath her awareness, trembled violently-sending urgent danger signals racing through her nerves.

Without conscious thought, her hand grasped an arrow that materialized from thin air.

Verdant Shard activated-glowing faint green in the gloom.

The tension between them spiked.

They measured one another in silence.

Two predators waiting for the first mistake.

Eira didn't know who Kaera was hunting-

But in that moment, she felt as though she stood directly at the edge of her blade.

Before either could strike-

BOOM!!

The ground detonated behind Kaera.

From the shattered relic ruins burst a winged demon, its tattered appendages dragging through the dust, blood-hungry eyes wide and feral. Saliva dripped as it lunged for the nearest prey.

Eira instinctively raised her bow-

But her vision faltered.

Kaera was gone.

In a blink-like a shadow peeling away from reality-she was already airborne, directly above the demon. Her katana descended in a single flawless arc.

SLAAASHHH!!

Steel parted air.

And flesh.

The creature's scream died instantly as its body collapsed in two clean halves.

Silence returned.

Eira stood frozen, witnessing a strike too swift for ordinary sight to follow.

Kaera landed lightly.

Thick black blood trailed from the tip of her blade. She showed no strain. No exhilaration.

Only control.

Those deep blue eyes lifted to meet Eira's once more.

Quiet.

But no longer empty.

"She's not an enemy..." Eira whispered inwardly, "but she won't become an ally that easily."

Kaera turned away.

"If you don't interfere with me, I won't interfere with you," she said calmly. "But if you follow me... make sure you're ready to die."

Her steps dissolved into the forest mist.

Yet Eira knew-

This was only the beginning of something far greater.
