"Stop!" Goku shouted loudly.
He had already made up his mind.
As long as it wasn't absolutely necessary, he would avoid using the Dragon Balls.
Even though the Shadow Dragons wouldn't appear for nearly thirty years…
By then, he should already possess power far beyond theirs.
But who knew whether the Dragon Balls might cause even greater side effects in the future?
So unless he had no other choice, he would never use them again—let alone make wishes.
Oh, right. I almost forgot something important.
I should go to the Lookout sometime and hide those early Black Star Dragon Balls.
Maybe hide them in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?
If I put them there, they'd be almost impossible to find.
First, I'll deal with Vegeta and Nappa today.
Then I'll go take care of those Black Star Dragon Balls.
Seeing Goku and Gohan suddenly appear, Nappa was startled, and his movements came to an abrupt stop.
Even Vegeta looked at them in surprise.
"Kakarot! It really is you?" Nappa sized Goku up and down. "So you really came back to life!"
"This isn't the place to talk. Come with me," Goku said calmly.
He didn't want innocent people to get hurt.
Fighting here could easily cause massive casualties among civilians and animals.
So he planned to move the battlefield.
"What are you trying to do?" Nappa sneered and pressed the button on his scouter. "Power level: 960… 1,083. Not bad!"
Vegeta remained silent, simply staring at Goku with slightly furrowed brows.
Something about Kakarot feels… off.
He couldn't tell exactly what it was.
And that other one must be his son, Gohan.
According to the scouter, Kakarot's power level was even lower than his son's.
Yet Vegeta could tell at a glance—
Kakarot was definitely stronger than the boy.
"Let's go somewhere without people and fight," Goku suggested.
"Somewhere empty? I see." Nappa chuckled. "But there's no need to go that far. I'll satisfy you right here!"
As he spoke, Nappa raised his hand sharply.
Invisible energy surged outward.
Goku's expression changed.
Without hesitation, he moved.
Bang!
Goku's foot slammed into Nappa's chest.
With a thunderous boom, Nappa was sent flying backward.
Vegeta's pupils shrank, his eyelids twitching.
So fast!
I didn't even see when he kicked!
"Follow me, Vegeta!" Goku grabbed Gohan's hand, called out, and chased after Nappa.
Vegeta: "????"
How does he know my name?
Did Raditz tell him?
…Fine. I'll follow and see.
There's no way a low-class warrior is stronger than a genius like me.
"Hmph." Vegeta snorted and followed at a steady pace, making no move to destroy the city.
Nappa was sent flying several kilometers away, into the outskirts.
"Damn it!" Nappa gritted his teeth in rage.
He had tumbled countless times in midair and now felt dizzy and disoriented.
I got kicked away by a low-class warrior?!
His power level isn't even 1,000!
How is that possible?!
Goku hadn't used his full strength.
He only wanted to drive Nappa to an uninhabited area.
Snap!
Nappa stabilized himself in the air, glaring furiously at Goku.
"There are still people below. Let's go farther," Goku said, kicking again.
"You think the same trick will work twice?" Nappa snarled.
He reached out, trying to grab Goku's ankle.
It was useless.
In front of absolute strength, Nappa's actions were meaningless.
Bang!
Goku's foot smashed into him once more.
"Aaaah!"
Nappa screamed miserably as his body spun violently and flew toward the wilderness outside the city.
Vegeta's lips twitched, his expression growing darker.
What's going on?
Nappa got kicked away again?!
If the first time was because he was careless, then this time…
Vegeta became even more convinced something was wrong with Kakarot.
Gohan was completely stunned.
Dad is this strong now?
"Alright, there's no one around here. We'll fight here," Goku said after scanning the area below, then glanced at Vegeta.
"Hmph. You're talking like this is going to be some epic battle," Vegeta scoffed.
"Get down," Goku said, waving his hand at Nappa.
An invisible force slammed into him.
Boom!
Nappa crashed into the ground, leaving a small crater.
Moments later, he staggered to his feet, filthy and shaking with rage.
Goku and Vegeta descended slowly.
Gohan hid behind his father, not daring to meet Vegeta's gaze.
"Vegeta, you really haven't changed at all," Goku laughed, waving at him.
Vegeta froze.
What does that mean?
What do you mean I haven't changed?
"I know what you want, Vegeta. Why don't you just give up?" Goku said with a gentle smile. "That wish of yours… I don't think it can be fulfilled."
Vegeta: "..."
His face darkened.
What is this guy playing at?
Why does he sound like we're close or something?
I've never even met you!
And I'm a genius warrior. You're just a low-class Saiyan.
What gives you the right to act so familiar?
"What do you mean?" Vegeta demanded.
"You came to Earth to wish for immortality, didn't you?" Goku replied calmly.
Vegeta: "..."
"Hmph. Looks like you know quite a lot," Vegeta snorted.
"That wish won't work," Goku shook his head.
"What?! It won't work? Why not?" Vegeta exclaimed.
"Even if you really became immortal, if you were sealed away, that'd be worse than death," Goku said seriously.
Lowering his voice, he added,
"Our Demon King Piccolo here was once sealed inside a rice cooker for hundreds of years…"
Vegeta: "..."
As he was speaking, Piccolo descended from the sky.
