Chapter 1 - Part I.

'To tell you the truth, I'm in love with you. '

'...or rather I was. '

...

.…

..…

" Hm? I couldn't hear that last part? Anyway, I'm sorry... You're such a lovely guy! But I just don't think I'm ready yet.. Though, I'd love to keep being friends with you! "

' ...Yeah, sure. '

And there we go.

The 27th time in 10 months I've been rejected the same way.

You have to wonder at what point this cruel reality would let me experience love properly. They say they'd love to be friends, but really.

It's just another way of saying they want me as a backup plan.

Disgusting.

I abhor the thought of it.

But there she goes, Walking off with her boy best friend.

Who, by the way, has been giving me the glare the whole time.

If only he could be less creepy now that he's won the girl back, geez.

...

Right, it's.. getting pretty late.

Walking down under the starless and not-so moonlit night again in a street filled with couples.

I should've known better.

I thought I'd finally succeed if I confessed in a well-known seaside matchmaking street.

The only thing that did for me was a good ol' warm welcome to the friend zone.

Instead of me, she and that murky slob face got together...

Dammit.

Time to for a smoke, then.

In typical loner fashion, I made my way to a spot isolated from people, but not so far that they wouldn't see me. I'm doing this for the attention.

Imagine this: A good-looking guy who's all alone- Yes, I mean it when I say good-looking. Smoking his pain away, and clearly needs someone to talk to. Wouldn't you want to talk to him? I'm sure I would.

...

Right...?

.....

Jokes aside,

' ...just when will it be my turn? '

I say, as dramatic as possible. Cut me some slack; it's not as if someone—

" Turn for what, exactly? "

Who

The

Hell?

In typical romance fashion, I slowly turned my head around,

met with a familiar face,

...one that I never thought I'd see again.
