In the Wake of Midnight
The city had finally quieted, though the adrenaline lingered in every heartbeat.
Dominic and Liam sat on the penthouse balcony, overlooking the lights like a field of stars. Dominic's fingers absentmindedly traced Liam's hand, thumb brushing over knuckles.
"You scared me tonight," Dominic admitted, voice low, almost broken.
Liam leaned against him. "I know. But you were there. That's what matters."
Dominic exhaled slowly. "I hate feeling… vulnerable."
"You don't have to hide it from me," Liam whispered, leaning up to press a gentle kiss to Dominic's lips. Not fiery, not claiming, just soft, intimate—a quiet promise.
Dominic closed his eyes, savoring it. "I don't deserve this," he muttered.
"You deserve every second," Liam said firmly. "Every touch, every word… every risk I take with you."
For a long moment, silence held them. Only the city hummed below.
Meanwhile, Marco and Noah were sprawled on the floor of a safehouse, adrenaline still tingling in their veins.
"Don't move," Marco said softly, hands pressed against Noah's shoulders.
Noah's breath hitched. "I won't."
Their lips met—long, slow, testing, tasting. No words. Just connection. Danger had stripped away pretenses, leaving only trust and desire.
When they pulled apart, Noah whispered, "I think I've been waiting for this… you."
Marco smiled faintly. "So have I."
Sebastian and Jax leaned against a warehouse wall, bruises already forming, sweat drying on their skin.
"You're reckless," Sebastian muttered, though his hand brushed Jax's arm in a gesture he didn't intend to be tender—but it was.
"I like it," Jax replied, smirking despite the blood and dirt.
The air between them charged—electric, tense, but filled with unspoken promise. Slowly, deliberately, Sebastian's fingers found Jax's, lacing them together. No words. Just trust.
They stayed like that for a long time, aware that the world outside could try to take them away—but in that moment, they were theirs.
Back in the penthouse, Dominic pulled Liam close.
"I can't guarantee tomorrow," Dominic whispered, voice low, deep. "But tonight… you're mine."
"And you're mine," Liam said, pressing his forehead to Dominic's. "Even in the dark, even in the danger."
Outside, the city slept—but the night had left its mark.
Six hearts now intertwined in ways that would not be undone.
Six bonds forged in danger, desire, and trust.
And as the clock struck the small hours of the morning, every touch, every glance, every heartbeat screamed the same truth:
Midnight had taken them.
And none of them wanted to be free.
