Sora's afternoon disappeared in a blur of laughter, food, and celebration.
The resort was livelier than it had ever been. Some guests were singing karaoke, others were dancing, while the more adventurous ones spent their time kayaking, snorkeling, riding boats, and playing beach volleyball near the shoreline.
By sunset, Sora was exhausted.
Her cheeks hurt from smiling so much, and her feet were beginning to complain after spending the entire day moving from one group to another. Even so, she had no intention of ending the celebration anytime soon.
It wasn't every day that she turned another year older surrounded by the people she loved.
"Sora."
She turned and saw Isla approaching with a knowing smile.
"Is your house open?" Isla asked. "I think Beongae and the gang need some rest. I'll bring them there."
Sora immediately looked toward her dogs.
