A few days later, Tundra had trained with the Supreme Kai for hours at a time, growing significantly stronger. In the time he wasn't training, he practiced teleportation, eventually managing to travel between planets within the same star system. Attempting anything beyond that proved far too difficult—his ki sense simply didn't extend far enough.
Now, having completed his training, he stood twice as powerful as when he first began under Shin.
"I don't mean to sound arrogant," Tundra said calmly, "but I've grown enough that such an opponent wouldn't be a threat to me. I'm ready to fight Majin Buu."
Shin studied him carefully. The last time he had seen Majin Buu, the creature had been a terror beyond comprehension—but the Tundra before him now was far stronger than that memory.
"Very well," Shin replied. "We shall head to Earth."
He placed a hand on Tundra's thigh and teleported them. Kibito appeared a moment later beside them.
Tundra looked around and spotted a comparatively small brown cocoon with vein-like patterns running along its surface.
"Is that it?" he asked.
Shin nodded and approached the cocoon, breathing heavily. Despite Tundra's confidence, anxiety still gripped him. Placing his hand on the shell, Shin fed it the energy required to unseal it.
The cocoon cracked open. Pink smoke poured out.
Majin Buu emerged.
Tundra blinked.
"That's the threat to the universe?"
"Yes," Shin answered grimly. "He became like this after absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai."
Tundra didn't hesitate. He fired an intense ki blast straight through Buu. The explosion reduced him to dust.
Or so it seemed.
A small puddle of pink goo remained at Buu's feet. It bubbled—and instantly regenerated.
Tundra's eyes widened. He fired again, stronger. Buu stretched his body into a massive wall, taking the blast. A gigantic hole tore through him.
He regenerated immediately.
"YOU MAKE BUU ANGRY! BUU KILL YOU!"
Buu lunged. Tundra dodged effortlessly.
"How… unimpressive."
He unleashed a barrage of ki blasts. Some missed, tearing holes through the planet itself. Buu regenerated each time.
Then something changed.
After reforming, Buu stood still. Steam poured from the holes in his head, rising into the sky and forming a dark cloud. His scream echoed across the battlefield—then abruptly stopped.
From the cloud descended a skinny gray version of Buu.
Tundra stared.
"Is… this supposed to happen?"
"I've never seen this before," Shin admitted.
That moment of distraction was enough.
The pink Buu fired a candy beam at the gray one. The gray Buu redirected it back—turning the pink Buu into a cookie. He devoured it before Tundra's blast could stop him.
Steam erupted again.
The gray Buu transformed—growing taller, more muscular. His presence skyrocketed.
Tundra felt it instantly.
"You beat lesser Buu," the new form said with chilling clarity. "But I kill you."
"Leave!" Tundra shouted at Shin and Kibito.
They teleported away.
The battlefield became silent.
Then Tundra rushed forward.
Their fists collided. The shockwave annihilated the landscape.
Tundra fired a beam into Buu's chest and followed with a punch to the face. Buu reformed mid-strike and countered with a brutal punch to Tundra's gut.
Tundra gasped—the pain reminding him of an old battle long ago.
"I'm going to kill you!"
Tundra shouted as he coated his fist in a dense layer of ki, destroying Buu's head as his ki exploded
The Battle raged on as Buu and Tundra Fought Tooth and Nail to come out on top, their battle destroying the planet punch by punch, Tundra's Ki was starting to get more violent as he fought, his control over it slipping as it did more and more damage to the surroundings until the planet couldn't take it anymore and burst, sending the two far away from the planet
But Tundra didn't let up his assault, each ki blast of his becoming more unstable and each miss becoming more catastrophic until he accidentally hit the sun with his Ki blast, destabilizing it
Tundra had a moment of clarity as he looked at the dying star, before turning back to Buu with an almost insane idea
Tundra flew into Buu ramming him with his horns and flying towards the star, pushing himself to the point Buu only looked at him in shock, not attempting to absorb him yet, and frankly not even wanting to at this display, sure he wasn't smart, but he was smart enough to guess that this was practically suicidal
Buu tried to move away but was already too late, the Sun engulfed it and Tundra whole, searing Tundra's flesh and burning Buu's gooey mass
Buu erected a shield around itself thinking that Tundra was going to do the same only for him to see Tundra's ki explodes outwards, disintegrating most of Buu, sacrificing both of his arms and speeding up the collapse of the star
Tundra erected a shield around himself as he regenerated his lost limbs, he knew he couldn't win from the difference in ki, so if he wasn't going to win, Buu wasn't going to win either
With that thought Tundra charged back at the newly regenerated Buu who looked at him like he was a crazy person, before flying back, wanting to escape the star first
Tundra noticing this pushed himself to fly behind Buu and ram him back into the star
Buu noticing this punched at Tundra's barrier knowing that he wasn't going to get out until Tundra was dead
Tundra met the punch with 2 ki blasts, one of them heading for the core of the star
Buu looked at it in complete shock as the sun went supernova, destroying both of their shields and nearly killing the both of them
Tundra was left with burn wounds on his entire body before getting rid of his arms and legs to regenerate them, his stamina was far from over
Buu regenerated from the speck that was left of him
They charged at eachother again meeting eachothers punches head on, now no longer pulling anything, the Shockwave from their punches were felt all around the galaxy
Tundra and Buu exchanged punches over and over with Tundra wanting to lead Buu to another star, while Buu tried to knock them both off course
The Shockwave were so powerful that it was starting to disturb a certain God's sleep
The fight went on for a few more hours, entire star systems exploding as they got more and more tired, but Tundra didn't let up no matter how tired he got, he'd only give up when he physically couldn't mobilize his ki
The same was for Buu who kept getting thrown into stars and having to regenerate from specks
The both of them were somewhat far away from eachother and began charging balls of ki, unanimously agreeing that they would give their all
The balls were charging eclipsing moons before Tundra fired his prematurely, rushing to Buu who hadn't expected it at all and had to send his attack out prematurely as well in order to block
But instead of punching him like Buu thought Tundra was going to do, Tundra instead grabbed Buu by the arms and threw him in between the two ki attacks with the last of his power
Buu looked at Tundra in shock before yelling "curse you!"
Tundra floated in space, tired out and trying to recover a bit as Buu combatted both of their attacks
Buu narrowly squeezed out a part of himself firing it far off before being eviscerated by the attacks
The small part reformed into an almost withered Buu who faced Tundra, trying to recuperate even a sliver of stamina, only to have Tundra charge at him and tried to punch him with the last of his strength
Tundra didn't want Buu to recover and punched him back with the last of the strength he had left
The collision of the punches reverberated across the universe shattering planets and stars alike as they got knocked back from eachother, Tundra's arm mangled, not having enough energy to even regenerate
Buu stopped, trying to recuperate from Tundra's assault, only for Tundra to charge at him with his other arm out to punch him "are you fucki-!"
Buu was cut off as Tundra's arm went through his head and exploded, tearing Buu into hundreds of pieces, all of them shooting off
Tundra floated in space, one arm missing and the other mangled with burn marks all along his head and torso, having turned blind long ago, having to sense Buu's ki to fight him, but now Buu's ki felt faint, he wasn't even regenerating or recollecting himself
Tundra relaxed for the first time in what felt like forever, floating aimlessly in the void of space they had both created, not even noticing the purple feline in strange garb in front of him before he started speaking to someone beside him
"Whis, what happened here?"
Whis, a tall angel responded in a curios tone "well, it seems that this mortal here was fighting Majin Buu"
Beerus, the purple feline looked surprised "is that right? So what happened to this Majin Buu?"
Whis put his hand forwards gathering the pieces of Buu together, they didn't even have the energy to recombine "well, my lord, it seems as if he's been defeated, though not dead, at least not yet, shall I dispose of it?"
Beerus looked at the shards of Buu, noticing an almost divine energy somewhere inside of it "whis?"
"Yes, my lord?"
"Why does this creature have God ki?"
Whis thought for a moment before responding "well, this being was responsible for almost killing all of the Supreme Kai 5 million years ago, when you were deep in sleep"
Beerus was startled, he'd actually come that close to death? And he didn't even notice?! "What?!" Beerus immediately raised a hand to the defeated Buu
Whis looked at Beerus, thinking that Beerus sleeps far too much for a god of destruction and maybe this will finally set him straight "yes, though if I recall, your response at the time was that it didn't require your energy since it was sealed"
"Well, I didn't think this creature killed most of the Supreme Kai! Maybe 1 but certainly not most of them!" Beerus shouted, angered, before turning to the scraps of Buu and put a hand out at it, firing a Hakai at Buu, erasing it "Hakai"
Whis smiled, truly hoping that this incident would make him act more in line to what a God of destruction truly is "lord Beerus, what about the mortal there?"
Beerus looked back at Tundra, noticing his pitiful state, slightly interested at the prospect of finding a rival even if it may not be the prophesized saiyan one "take him to my planet and heal him"
Whis smiled and nodded grabbing hold of Tundra and moving to Beerus' planet
