Yin yue sat quietly beneath the tall white pillars in the enshrined hall's outer courtyard, his small legs danglings from the stone bench.
Morning light spilled down from the open ceiling, warm but gentle, carrying with it a sense of sacred calmness.
To anyone watching, he looked like an ordinary four years old child - well behaved, quiet, and perhaps a little too thoughtful for his age.
Only Yin yue himself knew the truth.
So this really is the douluo continent.
His violet eyes reflected the golden carvings on the walls, but his thoughts were far away.
In his previous life, Douluo continent had been a novel - one he had read countless times, spirit master's, martial souls, soul rings, gods and inheritances.... every major event, every legendary figure had once existed only as words on a screen.
Yet now, he was here.
Alive, breathing, growing.
And more importantly - things were already different. Spirit hall existed as it should.
Orderly. Powerful. United.
In the novel, spirit hall was later painted as cruel and oppressive. It's fall almost uninevitable. But from what Yin yue had seen with his own eyes, this place was nothing like that distorted image.
Qian Daoliu ruled with dignity, not tyranny. The elders were strict, but fair.
Everyone was treated with kindness and basic respect, not like tools.
And then there was Qian Renxue.
A soft smile appeared on Yin yue's beautiful face as he remembered the little girl who liked to tug at his and proudly introduce him as "my little uncle" despite being only two months older than him.
In the original story, her fate had been....tragic. Burdened, lonely, hated by her own mother and molted into something sharp and cold.
But here?
She laughed freely. She trained eagerly. She was loved.
This world isn't following the novel, Yin yue concluded.
Which meant one thing, he could not rely on his knowledge of future completely.
That realisation didn't frightened him.
It excited him.
"Xiao yue, what are you doing here?"
A gentle voice interrupted his thoughts.
Yin yue turned to see a familiar face, a familiar elder standing behind him - Qing luan douluo, his posture relaxed, eyes carrying a trace of amusement, his cyan robes as elegant as ever.
"You are spacing out again", Qing luan said lightly. "If your second uncle sees this, he'll say you're being lazy again"
Yin yue blinked and nodded obediently.
"Third uncle i wasn't being lazy, I was thinking something."
That answer earned him a short laugh.
Before Qing luan douluo could say more, a sudden change swept through the entire enshrined hall.
The air ...shifted.
Warmth bloomed like a rising sun, pure and radiant. It wasn't oppressive - rather, it felt comforting, like dawn breaking after a long night.
Yin yue's heart skipped a beat.
Even without seeing anything , he knew what was happening instinctively.
This feeling, only one person in the entire spirit hall gave of this vibe.
Flames of golden light spiraled high above the hall's entrance as a graceful figure descended slowly from the sky, wings of fire folding behind her like a crown.
She wore long white and gold robes, her presence noble yet gentle. Her hair, the colour of molten sunlight fell freely down her back and her eyes carried the calm of someone who had passed through fire and emerged reborn.
One after another all the elders appeared, Qian xunji also arrived with Qian Renxue.
"Welcome back." Qing luan douluo said softly.
"Your highness, the popes wife"
"Third uncle, you don't need to call me that"
Yin yue looked at the woman infront of him.
This was the change, the difference he was talking about.
Ling yun - the woman who had married Qian xunji. The woman who had given birth to Qian Renxue. She has been in seclusion for six months to break through title douluo realm.
As for bibi dong he didn't know where she was, probably imprisoned in the prison for her betrayal but he wasn't sure what happened with her.
Ling yuan has emerged from seclusion as a newly advanced title douluo.
Ling yun's gaze swept across the courtyard she greeted the elders respectfully before walking towards the children standing nearby.
Her eyes softened noticing both of them.
She hugged both of them tightly.
"Yun'er" A familiar, dignified voice echoed as Qian Daoliu stepped forward.
Ling yun turned, her expression warning instantly. She bowed "father"
"You have broken through" Qian Daoliu said nodding in approval "my spirit hall has gained another title douluo."
"Yes" she replied calmly "I had broken through a month ago, but xunji and I with crysenthemum and ghost douluo went to hunt spirit beasts."
"How was your gains this time."
"It was really great." She smiled "it has helped the sacred light phoenix bloodline stablize completely and also supported my break through to level ninty two."
"That's good, than it must be a powerful spirit beast" Qian jun douluo spoke up
"It sure was you should ask crysenthemum and ghost douluo" Qian xunji replied dryly.
Everyone looked at him but said nothing.
Suddenly Renxue shouted.
"Mother.
I missed you."
"I too missed you xiaoxue"
Ling yun looked at yin yue standing nearby and said "xiao yue ,how have you been."
"I have been fine sister in law."
"Congratulations on becoming a title douluo."
"Thank you xiao yue"
She said and pulled both of the children in a tight hug.
