Chapter 4 - Foundations Before Awakening

The enshrined hall was unusually quiet today.

Sunlight streamed through the tall windows illuminating the vast marble floor with a soft golden glow. At the centre of the hall was a small figure sat crossed legged on a cushion, his legs short, his posture stiff - but his expression serious.

Qian Yin yue was four years old.

Before him stood the six elders, his father was sitting in the main seat.

"This is only foundation training," Qian jun douluo said in a strict voice.

"Calm your mind. Bring your heart to peace and do not rush."

Yin yue nodded obediently.

"Yes, uncle Qian jun"

Golden crocodile douluo folded his arms and dlaughed lightly.

"He's not even six years old, martial souls won't awaken until then."

"Exactly." Qing luan douluo replied calmly.

"That's why we teach him now. A strong foundation determine how far one can walk on the road of cultivation later."

Fiery lion douluo grinned.

"At least he is quieter than most of the children."

Yin yue sat still, hands resting on his knees, listening carefully.

Close your eyes, Qing luan douluo said gently.

"Feel your breathing. Not your strength. Not your thoughts. Just your breath."

Yin yue obeyed.

"Inhale."

"Exhale."

The world slowly faded.

Golden crocodile douluo raised and eyebrow. "He is surprisingly focused."

"He is not forcing anything" glowing feather douluo said after a brief observation.

"No fluctuations. Completely normal."

Qian douluo sat silently at the highest seat, watching. This was exactly what he wanted.

An ordinary begining.

"Good," Qing luan douluo said after a while

"That is enough for today."

Yin yue opened his eyes and bowed clumsily but sincerely to each elder.

Guang ling ( glowing feather douluo) douluo patted his head and dsmiles gently.

"Come back tomorrow, little one."

That night , yin yue slept alone in his quiet room.

Moonlight spilled through the beautiful balcony, pale and gentle, casting silver shadows across the floor.

He turned in his sleep.

Then -

Pain.

Not physical pain but something deeper.

Fragments surged forward.

A different world.

Cold streets.

An empty room.

A life without parents, without warmth.

Yin yue's eyes snapped open.

His breathing grew uneven as unfamiliar memoriescrashed into his mind - years of loneliness, of quiet nights spent staring at ceiling that were not this one.

"So that's it", he whispered hoarsely.

He was not just Qian yin yue.

He had lived once before.

An orphan in another world.

No family.

No one waiting for him.

Slowly the memories settled.

The small child sat up, clutching his chest.

Then his gaze drifted to the door.

Beyond it lay the enshrined hall's main corridor.

Beyond it lay Qian Daoliu.

The man who had picked him up from the forest. Who had given him a place to belong.

A place to call home.

Warmth spread through yin yue's chest, washing away the lingering chill of his pat life.

"This time" he murmured softly,

"I'm not alone."

Tears welled up in his eyes - but he wiped them away quickly, "I won't waste it.

I will protect my family, protect my dad."

Outside the moon hung high in the sky watchfull.

The next morning, Yin yue appeared once more in the hall.

Qian renxue stood beside him, hands behind her back, her golden eyes sharp.

"You look different," she said.

Yin yue blinked "different?"

"More awake" she replied.

Yin yue smiled lightly

"Maybe I slept well."

Qian renxue frowned, clearly unconvinced, but said nothing.

Looking at her yin yue thoughts

"This place was different from the douluo continent novel he read in his past life, different in a good way.

The characters were same but their personalities were different."

From above, Qian Daoliu observed quietly.

For just a moment, his gaze lingered on yin yue longer than usual.

He sensed nothing.

No aura.

No soul power.

No abnormality.

And yet - The child's eyes were steadier than before.

Two more years, Than you can awaken your martial soul. Qian Daoliu said calmly.

Until than he can only wait to find out his little son's fate.

And when the time came under the same sun and moon who had witnessed his rebirth.

His destiny would finally awaken.
