Although Krillin and the others did not witness the young man's initial transformation, the air itself told the story. They could feel a surge of Ki so immense, so familiar, that it sent shivers down their spines.
It was an energy nearly identical to Son Goku's legendary presence on Planet Namek. For Vegeta, the shock was physical. The Prince of All Saiyans stood paralyzed.
Beyond Kakarot, there was another Super Saiyan? Two commoners had now surpassed his royal bloodline? This disbelief transcended the video, striking the real Vegeta in the present. Inside his gravity-training spaceship, he bolted upright, nearly losing control of the craft. "Impossible! This is impossible!" he roared, his face contorted in a mix of fury and confusion.
Vegeta's mind raced through the Saiyan lineage. To achieve that golden glow, one required Saiyan blood. But who was left? Aside from himself and Kakarot, there was only the brat Gohan and his estranged brother, Tarble. Nappa was long dead.
Where could another survivor have hidden? The Prince was less interested in the boy's power and more consumed by the mystery of his birthright.
Meanwhile, across the Wanjie Multiverse, viewers were buzzing with a different theory. The narrator had promised that the path to Super Saiyan 2 began with a young man's appearance. Was this the one? Was this boy the key to the next level of evolution?
The power the youth displayed quickly answered any doubts about his strength. As he engaged Frieza, his Ki felt more refined, more overwhelming than Goku's had been on Namek. Frieza, desperate and delusional, launched a barrage of attacks that the boy evaded with mocking ease. "Frieza!" the youth shouted, appearing atop a high ridge.
He launched a Ki blast that the tyrant dodged with a scoff, thinking the boy had missed. But Akira, watching from his transmigrator's perspective, knew better. It was a classic feint. Before Frieza could even register the movement, the boy was already in his blind spot, sword raised high.
In a flash of cold steel and golden light, the "Galactic Emperor" was sliced clean in half. The boy didn't stop there; with surgical precision, he hacked the tyrant into pieces before extending a hand. A final energy wave reduced Frieza's remains to cosmic dust.
The nightmare of Namek, the final boss who had brought an entire universe to its knees, was erased like a common thug.
King Cold fared no better, falling in mere seconds. Krillin, Gohan, and Vegetaāthose who had bled against Friezaācould only stare in stunned silence. The scale of power had shifted so drastically that their previous struggle now seemed like a distant, primitive memory.
Inside his own ship in the past, Frieza's composure shattered. He had expected to be the protagonist of this new struggle, perhaps the catalyst for Super Saiyan 2. Instead, he was mere cannon fodder, a warm-up act for a stranger. "I am the emperor of the universe!" he screamed, unable to accept that he had traveled light-years just to be turned into a footstool for history. In other worlds, the reactions were just as sharp.
Kurosaki Ichigo noted the boy's terrifying efficiency, while Genos calculated the sheer jump in power levels. Zoro simply observed that the Dragon Ball world was a place where even "emperors" were nothing more than stepping stones.
As the golden aura faded, the boy's demeanor shifted from a cold executioner to a polite, warm-hearted youth. He greeted the Z-Fighters with a smile, a jarring contrast to the violence he had just unleashed. He provided the exact time and coordinates for Son Goku's arrival, inviting them to wait.
Akira noted the boy's careful silence; despite the group's probing questions, he revealed nothing but his age. Three hours later, a spherical Saiyan pod pierced the atmosphere exactly as predicted. As Goku stepped out in his strange Yardrat attire, the mystery deepened.
Pulling Goku aside for a private conversation, the young man confessed that he had interfered with the timeline. He explained that Frieza was originally Goku's kill, but since Goku was late, he had stepped in. Goku, ever casual, revealed he could have arrived instantly using a new divine technique: Instant Transmission.
The boy's eyes widened; he had changed history more than he realized. To test the strength of the man he had heard so much about, the youth made a single request. He wanted to see the true power of the legend. He asked Goku to transform into a Super Saiyan right then and there.
