Chapter 7: An Office Between a Circus and a Trencher

After all the chaos caused by Mr. Diari and Palla, it was finally time for Palla's birthday. That night, Rina lay in bed thinking to herself, "How wonderful it would be to have a peaceful morning for once." But she knew deep down that Mr. Diari and Palla would find a way to ruin it. It was a vain hope.

Morning came, and Rina got ready for her office. She sat down for breakfast with her mother. "My daughter," her mother said, "I am so proud of you. You are so smart and wise. You are truly a rare and magnificent girl, and I thank God every day for giving me a daughter like you."

Rina replied, "Mom dear, it's my duty to make you proud. Mothers like you are rare, too; you are the best. We will leave the past behind and look only toward our future. We deserve to live happily." Then she checked the time. "Oh! It's getting late, I must go. Come here, let me hug you."

"Goodbye, my daughter. Have a wonderful day and take care of yourself," her mother called out.

Rina got into her car and drove slowly toward the office. Suddenly, an elderly woman waved her down. "Wait, my daughter!"

"Yes, auntie, how can I help you?" Rina asked.

"Could you take me to that house over there?"

"Of course, that's no trouble at all. Please, get in."

Rina dropped her off safely. The lady thanked her, "I'm sorry for bothering you, I'll get off here."

"No problem at all, auntie. I am at your service. Goodbye!"

Realizing she was late, Rina rushed to the office. When she arrived, she saw Mr. Diari and Palla in the middle of another crazy scene. Mr. Diari had a bag full of water pistols, and Palla was tucked inside a sack with only his head sticking out, looking like a tiny commando.

Rina screamed, "Hey, Mr. Diari! What are you doing now? We aren't in an action movie! Why are you doing this to me? You're driving me crazy!"

Mr. Diari replied with total seriousness, "Miss Rina, what are you talking about? What movie? I got news from the prison that Leva is sending her 'spy cockroaches' to our office! Palla and I decided on this plan: if any cockroach steps foot in this office, we will execute it with these water pistols. We'll turn them into corpses! They need to know that Miss Rina's office is no place for games!"

Later that day, Rina was in court for a case involving a professional slanderer. The judge looked very grumpy. While Rina was presenting her evidence, Mr. Diari noticed something moving. At first, he ignored it, but when it moved again, he thought, "I knew it! These are Leva's spy cockroaches!"

He pulled out his water pistol and yelled, "Gotcha! You spy for that liar Leva!"

He started firing rapidly, but instead of hitting a cockroach, the water hit the judge right in the face! The judge was furious. Mr. Diari, in total shock, stuttered, "Your Honor... I am so sorry... I didn't mean you! I thought it was Leva's spy cockroach!"

Suddenly, Palla jumped out of his sack, ran to the judge's bench, and started licking the water off the legal documents. A deadly silence filled the courtroom for a moment, and then the judge burst out laughing at the cat.

The judge smiled and said, "Diari, you need to see a psychiatrist. Miss Rina, let Palla stay here and be my assistant instead! I didn't know you loved Palla this much." Rina just sighed, "I don't even know why he acts like this anymore."

Meanwhile, in prison, Leva was busy with her own "spiritual" plan. Knowing Mr. Diari was causing chaos in court, she decided to fake a personality change. She wore a long cloak to look humble and told the guard, "I am no longer the Leva of the past. I've changed into a good girl. Please, tell Rina, that bratty cat, and Mr. Diari to come visit me so I can ask for their forgiveness."

The guard laughed, "Leva, you're as transparent as an old roof! Who are you trying to fool with that tiny brain? How did you suddenly become a saint while the cockroaches in your hair are still playing football?"

Leva snapped, "Those cockroaches are my inspiration! If Rina doesn't come to see me, I swear I'll make this prison unbearable with my noise!"

When Mr. Diari heard about this, he decided to send Leva a letter. It read: "Leva, I heard you've become an angel in prison. But remember, Palla has been promoted to High Judge. Look at this photo of him in court—he's important now! Not like you, messy and makeup-less with cockroaches in your head. Honorable Judge Palla says: 'Meow, meow!' which means you're never getting out!"

When Rina saw the letter, she just shook her head. "I am just a spectator in this life. My life has become one big circus."

Leva, realizing her plan to lure them in failed, gathered leftover onions and garlic from the prison kitchen. She mashed them in a cup and told the guard, "This is the scent of peace and honesty. It is a very special perfume!"

She poured the mixture over herself. Within seconds, the guards had to put on masks and run away from her cell because of the horrific smell. Leva screamed after them, "This is the scent of honesty! You're just blinded by Rina's lies!" Even the cockroaches in her cell started migrating away because of the stench. Leva, however, thought she had reached a state of holiness.

That night, Rina fell asleep and had a dream: Leva had become the Queen of Cockroaches, and Mr. Diari was fighting them in the clouds with a giant water gun. Palla was sitting on a golden throne, passing a law that the entire world must eat "three meals of fish" a day.

Rina woke up startled and said, "Leva was right, those cockroaches are inspiring... but only for making people go insane!"

Exhausted, she put her head back on the pillow and looked out at the moon. She thought about how her life had become a painting: Mr. Diari painted with water, Leva with trickery, and Palla with a silent 'meow.'

With a sigh of hope, Rina whispered, "Oh God... at least the cat is the sane one in the courtroom."
