Chapter 9: Trust is Like Breath, Respect

is Like a Shield

The night was filled with a profound silence, the kind of stillness where a person could hear the very beating of their own heart. It was a serene and quiet night at Rina's house. Rina sat beside her mother, leaning her head on her mother's lap—that lap which symbolizes the ultimate peace of life, a sign that life still holds its beauty. In her heart, Rina whispered, "Dear God, never take my mother away from me. She is my everything. May my life end before hers."

Her mother, with hands beautiful yet worn by years of hard work, gently stroked Rina's hair, breathing in its scent. "Rina, my daughter," she said, "to me, no matter how much you grow, you are still that tiny infant who cried for milk in my arms. You are my soul." Then, she began to offer her wisdom. "Listen closely, my child. Life is a blend of joy and sorrow. We must turn our past into a lesson for our present and future. Our past was difficult, but that history is a diamond because it taught us everything: respect, trust, grief, and triumph."

She looked into the distance and continued, "Life is not just a sequence of days; it is a building constructed with bricks of respect and the cement of trust. Without respect in the human heart, life is as cold and hollow as an empty wall. Outer beauty means nothing without it. Even the most beautiful person in the world cannot compare to an 'unattractive' person who carries themselves with dignity and respect."

"Trust, my daughter, is like breath. As long as it's there, you don't notice it, but the moment it's cut off, the world becomes a suffocating cage. Trust is like a diamond; if it gets a single crack, a thousand lawyers cannot make it whole again. That crack will remain as a mark of shame forever." Her mother's words felt like golden treasures. "In that office where you protect the law, always remember: make respect your red line and your primary shield. When you respect others, you open a window to your own soul. Never let your status diminish your trustworthiness. Trust is a person's greatest capital; once lost, all the gold in the world cannot buy it back." Rina surrendered to these words, feeling she had the best mother in the world.

Meanwhile, in prison, Liva was drowning in deep regret. Her sorrow wasn't just for what she did to Rina, but for what she had done to herself and her own life. She no longer spoke of makeup or her "beetle drones." She became isolated and silent—a silence louder than any scream. She refused to eat, consumed by one thought: "Why did I do this? How did I let hatred grow in my heart until everyone turned against me? Now, no one will ever trust me again." To her, life looked like a pitch-black canvas. "I wish I hadn't ruined my own life. My youth is slipping away in bitterness." Cold tears streamed down her broken face.

Outside the office, Palla had transformed into a beacon of kindness in the cat world. The once mischievous cat was now the guardian of the neighborhood. He played with the stray and orphaned kittens, letting them jump on his back and gently patting their heads. The neighborhood cats looked at him with reverence, as if sensing he came from a "House of Law." Palla brought peace to the streets, proving that life is much more beautiful through play and respect than through conflict.

As for Mr. Diari, his comedy had turned into tragedy. His mother had fallen gravely ill, and he was a broken man. Seeing his mother in that state shattered him. He thought to himself, "Life isn't just about laughter. It's hard. I make everyone else laugh, but I don't have a single drop of happiness left in my own heart."

Conclusion:

People are like books; some have beautiful covers, but others, like Rina, have a story filled with deep value. Respect is a language that opens all hearts, and trust is the bridge that carries us to the shores of peace. May we always be like Rina: full of respect for our parents, loyal to our friends, and kind to all living beings. In the end, the only thing that remains is a beautiful name built on high character and trust.
