After the surrendering the king was brought to the market square of sparta, the dead bodies of fallen soldiers wrapped in white clothes with two gold coins placed in there eye's.
Family of the fallen soldiers cried out in agony and pain, although he was the cause of their plight,he didn't feel remorseful or guilty.
The king looked at his people with a stoic face,he is used to this as his people have done same to other cities and town.
The king said "all this to send a warning to our god's,why is it that when god's fight mortal surfer,we obviously didn't do anything to warrant such brutality from you god's" he said while looking at Conri with a face far from sincerity.
Why send down divine punishment toward us, "Oh aries the god of war I beg of you send down divine punishment to this devil's that claim to be god's,as they blaspheme the name of god.
Vanri walked up to the king picking him up by the throat, hanging him in the air looking him straight in the face saying "go say that to the people who begged you for mercy, but were shunned by your people because of they were basking in honor while facing the weak, you slaughtered, rape, raided the poor all in the name of spartan pride and your god.
Conri looked at a limp child looking at him in the crowd with hatred, while clutching a dead man with pale face.
Conri saw in the child a burning flame of revenge, Conri sighed as he walked straight to the child catching everyone gaze as his footstep echoed through the tiles of spartan.
When he reached the kid front he slumped down bringing his height to the same level with the kid,he first casted a spell "heal",healing him before asking "is this your father"
The kid nodded anger fading away, confusion giving way, before saying he is my father and was a honourable warrior, he often told me stories of the outside world and his heroic deed's outside sparta, I dreamed of being someone like him when I grow up,but now the boy eye's became watery with tears building up your soldiers killed my father who is going to encourage me,who is going to guide me when I need them, I'm all alone now.
His voice grew louder as he cried out, every single one in the same situation also cried out, conri at this moment felt the weight of his actions.
He sighed, he could have just dismantled them by either binding them,he has become complacent toward life that he treated them like just mere canon folder, casualties in war
This thought terrified him as this are the kind of mindset that get people killed in the world of marvel.
He turned toward the kid again asking what's your name boy,the boy answered with teary eyes my name is "Cassius", "I see a good name " Conri said.
Conri compliment caught the boy offguard
Conri got up standing upright again he looked at the boy then turned his gaze to look at the horizon and sight in front of him before unsheathing his sword pointing it the sky before saying "remember this day Sparta, never forget the word called mercy never forget yourselves in the excitement of killing, love one another, build together not apart" Conri finish speaking then swang down what happened next shocked the spartan warriors and resident at the market square,as they saw the dead and severed cold bodies of the fallen spartan warriors come back to life.
Their worldview of common sense was shattered, the now brought back spartan warriors were shocked as they knew they were dead almost on a trip to the underworld the kingdom of Hades, just to be dragged back by a violent energy.
The king fainted from the sight in front of him, hidden in the crowd in a black robe was figure eye's shinning like she just saw an interesting toy.
The historian drew a beautiful picture of Conri and the scenery that would be studied by future historian, everyone was happy Conri turned to his men before saying "our work here is done let's depart, we match to Athens.
They mounted their horse while conri mounted his flying wolf as the drove out of sparta not looking back.
The event that happened here on spartan would be told in generation to come it will split the spartan and their fate but it would never die as it would become a myth
Conri and his army left spartan rushing straight toward anthens, the journey took them four days,as the horses they used where not ordinary horses but magic ones.in those four days conri has been in contact with Odin through Odin's ravens, he has gotten the information on how things are going on in Odin's side which is more brutal and dangerous.
When Conri and his soldiers arrived, the Aegean Sea roared beneath a blood-red sunset,Conri and his men stepped into the marble shore of the kingdom of Athens.
Conri silver hair flowed behind him like a banner of war, and at his side hung his blade tyrfing.
High above, the Acropolis of Anthens gleamed in gold and ivory. Statues of gods lined its halls. And at its summit stood its ruler — Queen Anthena, born of divine wisdom and war.
Anthena looked at conri, with slight interest.
Clad in celestial bronze armor, her owl-crested helm shining beneath the fading sun, she rested her hand upon her spear, Astraphelon, crackling with divine lightning.
"You trespass upon sacred ground," she called, her voice echoing through pillars and courtyards. "This kingdom stands under Olympus. Leave now."
Conri golden reflected no fear.
"I have not come for Olympus," Conri replied calmly. "I have come to test the strength of the one who claims dominion over wisdom and war."
"I hold no grudge toward you or anthens"
The wind stilled.
Then the sky split with thunder.
Anthena leapt from the Acropolis like a falling star. She struck the ground with her spear, and a shockwave rippled across the city, marble cracking beneath divine force.
Conri didn't move as he turned toward his soldiers giving a order "get back, this battle is not what you guys can handle or interfere in yet".
After saying that Conri vanished.
Anthena's spear shattered only afterimages.
Conri reappeared behind her, claws glowing with viridian poison light. He slashed — but her shield, bearing the face of the Gorgon, flared with golden radiance and blocked the strike
Energy burst outward, blowing apart statues and columns.
Anthena countered with a spin of her spear, summoning spectral hoplite warriors formed from divine light. Hundreds of them charged.
Conri narrowed his eyes.
He drew Tyrfing.
With a single horizontal cut, a wave of dark energy tore through the spectral soldiers, dissolving them into sparks. The blast carved a path through Anthens' sacred courtyard, splitting fountains and pillars alike
Anthena was already above him.
Lightning descended.
Thunderbolts rained from the heavens, guided by Anthena's will. The sea churned violently as storm clouds swallowed the sky.
Conri was unfazed by the attacks as he stepped through the lightning as though walking through falling leaves. His speed defied sight. His movements wasted nothing.
Anthena analyzed him mid-battle — calculating angles, timing, rhythm.
"You fight without arrogance," she observed.
"I fight without doubt," Conri replied.
She thrust her spear forward. Divine energy erupted like a beam of pure Olympus itself.
Conri crossed his blade.
The collision split the sky.
For a moment, neither moved. Their powers ground against each other — divine strategy versus demonic precision.
The earth beneath them collapsed, sending both warriors crashing into the lower city.
The streets burned. The Parthenon cracked in the distance.
"You are no mere Godling," she said. "Very well."
She slammed her spear into the ground.
A colossal owl of radiant energy manifested behind her, wings spanning the skyline. Knowledge, warcraft, and divine will merged into one overwhelming force.
Conri felt it,the pressure of a goddess in full authority.
Conri closed his eyes with a sigh saying "I really don't want to do this".
Then he transformed.
Golden rune's markings spread across his armour volkan.
His aura expanded into a towering spectral beast — a white hound wreathed in emerald flame. The air trembled at its roar.
The two titans charged.
Owl and hound collided in a cataclysmic explosion that shook the Aegean coast. Light and poison, wisdom and instinct, heaven and demon clashed in a storm that silenced even Olympus.
When the dust cleared.
Anthena stood, breathing heavily, spear cracked.
Conri stood opposite her, armor still intact, but blood tracing his cheek.
Neither had fallen
Anthena lowered her spear first.
"You did not seek conquest," she said quietly. "Only measure."
Conri sheathed Tyrfing
"A kingdom ruled by true strength has no need to fall."
The storm faded. The sea calmed.
Without another word, Conri turned and walked toward the horizon where his armies had watched the battle with sheer excitement running through them all, he left the Kingdom of Anthens standing — tested, but unbroken.
From the Acropolis, Anthena watched him disappear into the twilight.
"A warrior beyond Olympus…" she murmured.
And for the first time in centuries, the Goddess of Wisdom smiled.
The battle was not just fought by two rulers.
It was witnessed.
And those who watched would never forget it.
From the cliffs overlooking the marble city, Conri's nephalem forces stood in perfect formation.
Vanri scout, perched on broken columns, silent elite guard's in pale amour.
At first, they were calm.
They have seen their lord fights before.
But when Anthena summoned lightning that split the heavens, even seasoned commanders felt the air tremble in their lungs.
young soldier whispered,
"Is that… a goddess?"
A veteran beside him replied without looking away,
"No. That is our lord's opponent."
When the spectral owl manifested behind Anthena, stretching across the skyline in divine radiance, murmurs spread through the ranks. Some gripped their weapons tighter. Others instinctively stepped back.
Then Conri transformed — his aura rising into the towering white hound of emerald flame.
Some veterans who have stayed in the battlefield for long have seen this form before, but to the new recruit's. it shocked them.
Silence.
No cheers.
No panic.
Only reverence.
A young soldier slowly went on his knees.
Not because Conri commanded it.
But because witnessing that level of power felt sacred.
When the explosion rocked the coast and dust swallowed the battlefield, several younger warriors tensed, ready to charge without orders.
Vanri raised his hand's
"Hold your position."
Absolute discipline returned.
Because if their lord fell, charging would mean nothing.
And if he stood —
He would not need their help.
When the dust cleared and they saw him still standing…
A single unified exhale moved through thousands of soldiers.
Not celebration.
Not shouting.
Just pride.
Their ruler had not been overwhelmed by a goddess.
while at the side of the anthens soldiers same commotion was going on there too.
Within the fractured courtyards, Athenian hoplites struggled to remain steady.
They had trained for war.
They had faced Spartans, raiders, rebels.
But this?
This was beyond mortal battle.
When Conri's first slash tore through the marble yard, a captain shouted,
"Shield wall! Protect the civilians!"
Even as divine lightning and demonic energy mixed with divine energy collided overhead, they held formation — though fear flickered in their eyes.
One young soldier stared upward as Conri vanished through bolts of lightning.
"He moves like a spirit…"
Another answered through clenched teeth,
"No. Spirits fear gods."
When Anthena descended in full power, golden and unstoppable, the soldiers erupted in renewed courage.
"For Anthena! For the city!"
But when the white spectral hound formed behind Conri, many froze.
Because for the first time —
Their goddess was not towering alone.
They witnessed equality.
And that realization shook them more than the destruction.
As owl and hound collided and the city trembled, several soldiers fell to one knee — not from injury, but from the sheer pressure in the air.
Some prayed.
Some simply stared.
When the dust cleared and both rulers still stood…
Confusion spread.
"Who won?"
Their captain answered quietly,
"Anthens did."
Because their queen still breathed. Their city still stood. And the enemy had chosen not to conquer.
